I can't believe that we are on the final stretch of Stampin' Up!'s best time of the year....Sale-A-Bration!!  It's true....Monday, March 31st is the last day to earn a free Sale-A-Bration gift with every $50 purchase.  I was going through pictures on my phone and came across a couple that I had taken when I attended Leadership 2014 in Houston, Texas this last January.  I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoy Conventions....the buzz in the air is like no other....waaaay too much fun, tons of inspiration, and oodles of new friendships to be made.  Here is a super cute Mini Muslin Bag that I just adore...one of my favorites!

Have you gotten your hands on the AWESOME Scalloped Tag Topper punch found in the Occasions Mini catalog?  If so, have you jumped on board the rave for creating cards with a tie-closure?  This technique makes for a unique style of card and is so much fun and super easy!! Each year I have a plan to get all of my birthday wishes mailed out (or hand-delivered) early, if not at least, ON TIME!!  This card creation saved the day!!

I started out with a Whisper White piece of cardstock measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2.  Do not score anything until after you have punched the short sides with your Scalloped Tag Topper punch.  Once you have the "tags" and have snipped away the excess, then you fold the right tag flush with the card edge (the new edge after excess has been snipped away).  Lay this side flush with your Simply Scored Tool and score at 4-1/4".  When you fold at your new score line, your "tags" should meet at the points.

For this card, I used several products available in the Occasions Mini catalog and focused on the colors coordinating with the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper (page 27)....Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush and Whisper White.  The star and sentiment come from the Perfect Pennants stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment using Jet Black StazOn ink...I find this ink to give a very vivid black image....my go-to black ink.  Of course, I had to throw some Gorgeous Grunge in their using Crushed Curry.  I die cut the sentiment using one of the Chalk Talk tags.  I die cut a second one out of Basic Black, cut it in half (top to bottom) and positioned each half so that it gave a 'matted' appearance.  The tag was decorated with some luscious Strawberry Slush 3/8" Ruffled Stretch Trim tied off with Whisper White Baker's Twine and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Oh, the fun part...I stamped the sentiment 2 more times....each in Strawberry Slush and Bermuda Bay, cut and punched the individual pieces and set into place to add color and coordinate with the panel that it rests on.  Last final touch....I used some 1/8" Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon to finish off the prett-i-ness of the 'tag' connectors.  SUPER easy and fun!

Here is what it looks like when opened.  You can create sooo many varieties using this technique....feminine, masculine, children, holidays, etc.  Go ahead....get your stamps, ink and paper out and play!  Have fun!!

Oh my GOSH!!  I am so excited to share today's SUPER FUN card. Per the request of some ladies that come to my stamping classes, they wanted to play with the technique of 'Punch Art'.  This is similar to paper piecing but is art solely made up of punches.  Let me tell you, we had a full night of creating cards using A LOT of Stampin' Up! punches, framelits and dies.  I knew I wanted to create an owl beyond the use of our Owl Punch....and, let me tell you!  There are soooo many cute variances to creating an owl with our punches, that it is amazing!  Take a look at this little lady!

Isn't she just a HOOT?!!...the cutest thing ever!!  You could make the bow out of blues, greens, reds and place it under the nose to create a little guy to go with your little girl.  So much fun!  Here is a list of the punches we used, along with the Top Note Bigz die.

LOL!  This little alligator just keeps coming back for more....of the same card!  I created this card originally for a WOW Swap event before I left for Leadership in January.  THEN, I had my Tuesday night stamping ladies create this card as part of the See Ya Later stamping class.  And, wouldn't you know it, he came back for my very first Demo group meeting in February!

Here is the card recipe....

• The Pistachio Pudding card base measures 4-1/4" x 4-1/4"....I love square cards!
• The matted layer consists of some Basic Black and a layer of Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (a free Sale-A-Bration choice with your $50 purchase) and a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe that was dry embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (another Sale-A-Bration choice).
• I added a wide strip of Basic Black cardstock and attached a banner that was stamped in Pistachio Pudding ink, covered with Clear Embossing powder and heat set.  The banner image is one of the many from the Banner Blast Stamp set and then punched using the coordinating Banner Punch.  Again, the Banner Blast stamp set and coordinating Punch are part of the 13 Sale-A-Bration items to choose from with every $50 purchase.  I used a standard office stapler to attach the banner to the Basic Black piece.
• I wrapped some Summer Starfruit Baker's Twine (again, from the Sale-A-Bration selection) and tied in a bow.  I really like that you get 10 yards on a spool and there are 3 different colors to play with.
• The focal image is from the See Ya Later stamp set (hint:  from the Sale-A-Bration brochure!) and was inked up with Jet Black StazOn, stamped onto Coastal Cabana cardstock, covered with Clear Embossing powder and heat set using our Heat Tool.  It was fun watching the little alligator come to life as the clear embossing powder set.
• After embossing, I cut out the image using my Circles Collection Framelits, added Stampin' Dimensionals and set into place.
