Stampin' Up! Punches -- What a HOOT!!
March 14, 2014
Oh my GOSH!! I am so excited to share today's SUPER FUN card. Per the request of some ladies that come to my stamping classes, they wanted to play with the technique of 'Punch Art'. This is similar to paper piecing but is art solely made up of punches. Let me tell you, we had a full night of creating cards using A LOT of Stampin' Up! punches, framelits and dies. I knew I wanted to create an owl beyond the use of our Owl Punch....and, let me tell you! There are soooo many cute variances to creating an owl with our punches, that it is amazing! Take a look at this little lady!
Isn't she just a HOOT?!!...the cutest thing ever!! You could make the bow out of blues, greens, reds and place it under the nose to create a little guy to go with your little girl. So much fun! Here is a list of the punches we used, along with the Top Note Bigz die.
- 2-3/8" Scallop Circle (Item #118874)
- 1-3/8" Circle (Item #119860)
- 1-1/4" Circle (Item #119861)
- 3/4" Circle (Item #119873)
- Bird Builder (Item #117191)
- Modern Label (Item #119849)
- Full Heart (Item #119883)
- Small Heart (Item #117193)

Now, if you are following me on Facebook, you would have seen my post explaining how much I enjoy my downline....they make me smile everyday!! Well, I got a text (late at night, of course) from my friend and Dream Team member (Hi Sara!) who attended this class sharing with me her creation. Hers looks a bit different because she doesn't have all of the same punches (Floral Frames Collection for the Scallop Punch) and it turned out fabulous!! I definitely **squealed** when I saw this....too stinkin' CUTE!! I'm pretty sure I was giggling in my dreams all night.
And then, she created a little guy to be the escort! I couldn't help but think 'Angry Birds' going to Prom or some special event. LOVE it!!
