OSAT Blog Hoppers Celebrate Father's Day

OSATBlogHop-HeaderHello everyone!  I am so happy to have you stop by to check out what I have to share with you. Today, the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Blog Hoppers are sharing some super fun masculine or Father's Day cards and 3D projects.  If you came from Diane Squires' blog or made my blog your first visit of the day, you are in for some super fun creations.  I know that, at some point, everyone struggles with this category, so let's take a peek at my creations, shall we?!!

Can you guess what the 'suit jacket' was made with?  If you guessed the Envelope Punch board...ding-ding-ding...you are correct!  **squeal**  I got the inspiration for this from a magazine that is only available to Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  There is a great promotion going on for the month of June...everyone can join...Hobby crafters/stampers and those that want to build a business and earn money doing so.  You do not want to miss this....more details will be at the end of this post.

My husband has to wear a suit everyday for work, so I thought this was a perfect fit for him.  The only difference is that he does not wear bow ties, but I just had to show off the Bow Builder punch and what cute little bows it creates.  I just love how the 'dress shirt' is the card insert....super fun pocket card.

So, by day and during the week, my husband is in a suit all day, but he would much rather be sporting a polo, shorts, and golf shoes.  LOL

Every golfer loves to go to the driving range with a bucket of balls every now and then to work on their swing...either to get rid of the bad 'slice' or 'hook' that can put a damper on a good game of 18 holes.  The 'bucket' was made with the Berry Basket Bigz die and Vanilla Coaster board.  I love our Coaster board!  It is just the right thickness to die cut an image that you would like to have a little more sturdiness than what our 80 lb cardstock provides.  I decided to 'white wash' the basket band using Crushed Curry ink from the lid of my ink pad and my Aqua Painter.  Then, I covered the side walls with the same designer paper used on the card.  I searched high and low for chocolate golf balls, but apparently, the sport of golf is not that popular for the candy retailers.  Hmmm.....really?!!  So, I found these large pearly white gum balls.  No dimples, but you get the idea, right?

The golf flag was punched using the Tree punch and Real Red cardstock.  The word 'Dad' comes from the Guy Greetings stamp set, inked in Basic Gray ink and stamped.  I hope you enjoyed and are inspired to create your next masculine card and/or project.  If you struggle making a masculine card, do what I did and look for inspiration in a magazine, a retail store, Pinterest, the decor of your home....it's everywhere...just let your imagination run.  Speaking of running....you best check out the next blog hopper, James Weber.  I tell you, this Dude can stamp!
