Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  March is here and so is the Spring-like weather...well, until this weekend when the small blizzard is suppose to hit.  Ugh!!  That's Nebraska weather for you...gotta love it, though.  Regardless of the weather, the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop is going to show off some amazing creations with you.  I am so happy and thankful for your visit today. The theme for our hop today is a "Birthday Bash", which should always include some yummy ice cream to celebrate.  Mmmm...  Yep!  There's a stamp set for that...it's called Cool Treats, and it is a ton of fun to create a heaping bowl of Neopolitan ice cream.  The Cool Treats Suite of products found on page 32-33 in the Occasions catalog is an amazing collection.  From the playful patterns in the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper to the endless fun cards, tags, banners, and treat boxes/bags that your creative mind can dream up...it will surely look real enough to eat.  Well, almost!  haha

Creative Tips:

• Fancy Fold cards always add a special touch of character and fun.  The card base is Peekaboo Peach featuring the "Sparkle" embossing folder for  some texture.  I have a real problem (for my own creations) leaving open space clean and simple.  I feel like there needs to be a little 'oomph'.  The card base measures 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2".

• DID YOU KNOW? that you can click on any images I include related to the project to see an enlarged version?  Yep!  I do this so that you can see the details of my projects a weeee bit better. As I get older, I'm finding myself pulling out what I call my "granny glasses".  haha

You're Sweet Cool Treats Window Box:  One of my favorite things to create are 3D projects.  I hadn't played with the Window Box Thinlits Dies yet, so what's a birthday bash without a birthday box, right?!! The ideas to create and alter for any occasion is endless.  Super stinkin' CUTE!!

Creative Tips:

• The color palette combination of Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, and Whisper White were pulled from the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  LOVE it!

• I love lots of layers and dimension and the Layering Ovals Framelits dies and Stitched Shapes Framelits dies got a work out.

• TIP:  To ensure that you stay 'within the boundaries' of the Whisper White oval, you'll want to die cut the oval, then stamp the sentiment and strawberry image.  Because the Cool Treats stamp set is a Photopolymer set, it makes it super easy to see exactly where you are stamping without the use of the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
