A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop — May Good Things Grow

Hello and welcome Stampers and Papercrafters! The end of March is knocking down our doors, but not before you attend another series of A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!! A number of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the March monthly kit named May Good Things Grow. This month's kit is a really special one because of March is the month that Paper Pumpkin came to life. Shall we go take a peek at what I created for you.

This month's hop features a little bit of vintage...such as reflecting on Stampin' Up!'s upcoming 30th Anniversary celebration...many good things have grown over the years since Stampin' Up! came to life back in 1988. :)

I die cut the largest stitched oval from the center of one of the patterned pieces and raised it to reflect an eclipse effect.

I had to matte the patterned paper because it is too pretty not to pair it up with Fresh Fig cardstock. The Fresh Fig ribbon is oh-so pretty for finishing into a knot.

The focal wooden piece was stamped with one of the sentiments using Early Espresso Classic ink. Add one of the larger Fresh Fig pearls to each end and decorated with a couple of the leaf punch-outs.

Coordinating Envelope Box (aka Bag-a-lope)

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to alter one of the envelopes into a little treat gift box. Decorate it with some of the ribbon and die cut flowers and leaves, and you've got a winner of a little gift box.

Due to the heaviness of the envelope, it would work best to use Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored Tool to ensure you get a nice score line to fold on.

Slice a very thin piece off the bottom of the envelope. Then score at 5/8" on each side, and 3/4" on the bottom. Snip up from the bottom to horizontal score line on each side, fold on score lines, adhere the bottom together, and decorate.

Stamp It Blog Hop -- Hello Easter Eggs and Bunnies

Hello-hello stampers and paper crafters! Welcome to my spot on the Stamp It Bog Hop for the month of March. This month's theme is all about Easter; and, I can't believe just how close we are to that day.

I pulled out my Happy Easter stamp set to play with one of the eggs that renders coloring with Stampin' Write Markers. The egg is Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo and Rich Razzleberry.

Look at all that beautiful color! I love the pattern from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper and how well it compliments the rustic look I was trying to achieve. Do you think it worked?

Here's a close-up of the Egg that has about 10 layers of Clear Embossing powder...heating and melting it in between each layer. When I felt it was thick enough, I stuck it in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes...this is to make it easy to 'crack' the embossed layer. Perfect technique for the style of card I'm sharing with you today! ;)

Creative Inking Blog Hop -- Ready for Spring Birthdays

Hello stamper and crafter friends! and, welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop for the month of March! Our theme is all about getting Ready for Spring, but really, Mother Nature is having a week of bad days, I swear! I'm sure the temperature gauge is a bit confused with it being in the 70's for a couple of days, then back to the low 30's, rain and small showers of snow. GEESH!! Can you believe that this is the first time my Lots of Lavender stamp sethas seen any ink? Yup! I've been waiting for "spring" to show...yep! that's it! No seriously! You can use all sorts of coloring mediums...Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens, Stampin' Blends, and my one of my favorites...the Aqua Painter.

Creative Tips:

Are you checking out the awesome background? I created it using the die from the Flourish Thinlits Dies. And, you may be wondering just how many times I ran that Crumb Cake piece of cardstock through the Big Shot. Well, truth be told...15 times! **squeal** It just had to be done...I had a vision in my head and had to run with it. LOL

After coloring the bouquet with Sweet Sugarplum and Lemon Lime Twist Classic Inks using my Aqua Painter, I "fussy cut" the image and popped it up on the Lots of Labels Vellum layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Dapper Denim Lots of Labels Frame was used to help center the floral image and add a little contrast to the Lemon Lime Twist. The sentiment comes from the Celebration Time stamp set found in the Annual catalog and die cut using the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.

Stampin' Friends Blog Hop -- No Rules in March

Good morning to everyone! Welcome to my stop on the Stampin Friends Blog Hop! I am excited about this months stamping theme...No Rules!! WHOOPEEEEE! That's like eating as many sweets as your stomach can consume (without all the added calories, I might add!) We are given free reign...totally our choice...stamp/craft anything we want!! I can't tell you how this made my heart go pitter-patter only because these last few weeks I have struggled to find my creative MOJO juice. If this is your first stop on the Stampin Friends Blog Hop or you arrived here from one of the other Stampin Friends bloggers, I'm excited to share with you.

Sooo, with No Rules comes the perfect opportunity to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) someone else's creation. Or, at least gain inspiration from a card that moves me and incorporate my own tweaking of colors, designer series paper, or stamped images

First up, is a clean-and-simple greeting card showing off one of the patterns from the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. You can choose this 12" x 12" pack free with a $50 product order during Sale-A-Bration...hurry, this most-favored event ends March 31st!

Creative Tips:

The inspiration for this creation stems from a sample card pictured in the 2nd Sale-A-Bration release brochure. I used the same Dapper Denim cardstock and striped pattern from the Springtime Foils Specialty paper, but I changed up the focal arrangement.

To compliment the Dapper Denim cardbase and add a bit of character, I added a piece of Color Theory Designer Series Paper and banner cut the bottom end. The sentiment comes from the Truly Tailored stamp set inked with Archival Basic Black ink and stamped onto our Shimmery White cardstock. LOVE that paper! You can't see in the picture, but it really compliments the Silver Foil stripes. Add some Silver Metallic Thread to the Stitched Oval and set into place.

Acetate Gift Box for Dad: I am so thrilled that the Acetate Gift Boxes from the last Holiday catalog are still available for purchase. I cut one in half and decorated it with a belly-band using a strip of the striped Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series paper layered onto strips of the Color Theory Designer Series paper. The focal point is using elements and design to compliment the card. Filled it with some Sweet Soirée Ready Shreddie available in the Occasions catalog and will tuck some sweets and gift card to make it complete and ready to gift. Super easy and oh-so adorbs!!

OSAT Blog Hop -- Happily Ever After with Cake Soirée

Good morning stampers and paper crafters! Welcome to my stop on the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop for the month of March! This months theme is based on "Happily Ever After". The first thing that comes to mind with this theme is a wedding or a wedding anniversary. It appears that old man winter has decided to stick around for a while longer...major snow and blizzard storms rolling across the states the last few days. Now, that is one event that I'm sure will not last to see 'Happily Ever After'...well, I'm hoping, anyway. LOL!

I have had the Cake Soirée Bundle (stamp set and coordinating Sweet Cake Framelits) ever since the beginning of the Occasions catalog, but haven't ever finished a project using it. GASP!! Sooo, this month's theme was a way to force me to play, create and finish this beautiful card. I'm sure I've shared this before, but I'm a country farm girl at heart, and this stamped and clear embossed cake was screaming to be displayed on some Wood Textured Designer Series Paper.

All of the colors are pulled from the flower ensemble nesting on top of the cake (Marina Mist, Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo). I love how Stampin' Up! created a coordinating Sweet Soirée Embellishment Kit filled with floral punch outs, velum sprigs, velveteen scalloped trim, and a whole lot more. The table die was cut from the Champagne Foil Paper offered in the Holiday 2017 catalog....I'm sooo happy that it carried over! LOVE that foil paper! The sentiment comes from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and was Silver embossed onto a strip of Berry Burst cardstock.

Coordinating Cake Soirée Gift Tag

Now, you can't attend a wedding without the gift adorned with a coordinating tag, now can you?!! The intricate tag die comes from the Sweet Cake Framelits dies set and is dressed up using the same papers as the card...Wood Textured Designer Series Paper, Champagne Foil Paper and Berry Burst cardstock. The single flower is another punch out from the Sweet Soirée Embellishment Kit and was popped up on a Marina Mist Layering Scallop Circle die.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop -- February 2018 Wildflower Wishes

Hello and welcome Stampers and Papercrafters! It's March 1st and it's time for another series of A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!! A number of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the February monthly kit named Wildflower Wishes. Let's go take a peek at what I created for you.

This month's hop features Spring and blooming flowers...Wildflower Wishes. Now, if only my wish for Spring to arrive and stay for awhile would come true because I'm tired of the bitter cold weather. How about you? I really like that the stamp set includes several sentiments that can be paired up...large and bold with a smaller, fancy cursive font. Check out the envelopes that are printed with a floral liner....sooo pretty!

I decided to stamp the "Celebrate" sentiment with VersaMark and then clear emboss onto one of the patterned paper choices.

It's been a while since I had created a shaker card. The large Decorative Label panel is a sticker, so it made it super easy to cut a Window Sheet strip and stick to the back without having to add my own adhesive.

This kit featured Garden Green and Sahara Sand, but my creation needed a 3rd color, so I added in a strip of Pool Party for the backing of the shaker portion. The Metallic Sequins are the perfect touch for a little glam and more color. The rest of the components came with the kit.

Coordinating Triangle Chocolate Treat Holder

This little holder is using a strip cut from one of the patterns papers with the kit. I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to create the little Garden Green flap (matches the large sentiment stickers in the kit...**squeal**)!! I inked up the sentiment with Garden Green and clear heat embossed onto a strip of Pool Party. You can't see them, but there are 2 wonderful chocolates wrapped in green foil. Perfect for this project and so stinkin' adorable!
