Good morning stampers and paper crafters! Welcome to my stop on the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop! It is April and it is usually Spring weather; thus, the Pocket Full of Posies theme. But, instead...our weather in Nebraska is very fickle this year. One day it's in the low 70's, the next week it is hitting the temps in the low 30's and flashing us with snow! ACK!! I'm hoping this hop will be powerful enough to tell Old-Man-Winter to take a hike and go hybernate for the next 6 months...at least!!

Since the retirement list went live a couple of days ago, I had to make sure to use up some more of the very lovely Petal Garden Designer Series Paper stack. It's perfect, right?!! Sooo many sheets have a variety of flowers and in several colors.I thought I would get a jump on my Mother's Day card & gift box, so I pulled out Apron of Love Bundle create the little pocket. This bundle is retiring, too! Buuut, it won't go away for long because the bundle will no longer be offered as a bundle when the new catalog comes out. Sooo, don't wait too long to get your bundle (and save 10%)...May 31st will be here before we know it. Eeek!
The accessory is a 24" piece of Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon that I undid the strands and then accessorized the card with a finished bow. I think it gives the card a bit of rustic/vintage feel, don't you think?
I keep telling myself that I'm going to do some stamping onto Designer Series Paper, and I either forget, or can't bring myself to do it. Mission accomplished!! I love how the posies from the Apron of Love stamp set look like they are planted in the apron pocket. Too cute!!
Coordinating Pocket Gift Bag
Well, since the theme is "Pocketfull of Posies", I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pull out my Pocket Framelits Dies and create a Pocket Gift Bag..I used one of the designs from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack and die cut 2 pieces from the 6" x 6" sheet. The sides are made up of a 7/8" x 9" strip of Pool Party that was scored 1/8" on each of the long sides. Adhere to the prescored sides of the Pocket using Tear & Tape Adhesive...or, my favorite, Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The handle is made up of the Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon; and the sentiment comes from the April of Love stamp set edged with a teeny-tiny scallop die found in the Apron Builder Framelits Dies set.
The Apron of Love bundle is perfect for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Retirement, or any celebration, really. Anything deserving of flowers will be gorgeous when you bring in the Petal Garden paper stack. :)
