A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop -- Manly Moments

Hello and welcome Stampers and Papercrafters!  It is the last day in May...yikes! but we have a really fun A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop to share with you!!  YAY! A number of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the May monthly kit named "Manly Moments".  I'm super excited to share the projects I created for you....let's get to it, shall we!

PPHop-HeaderPic

Do you struggle creating "Manly" cards?  Yep, I do, too!  Buuut, I'm so excited to see my Paper Pumpkin kit arrive filled with the supplies to create 10 masculine cards ranging from birthday to thank you...and, including nephews and brothers.

9d871d66294fe0a203297c36575a2dd2

Another thing I struggle with is creating clean and simple cards...this entire kit is just that.  But, of course, when I create to showcase an alternative card, I have to kick it up a notch...or two.  :)  I started with a traditional cardstock base of 4-1/4" x 11', but scoring it at 4-1/4" and 8-1/2" is not our typical card style.

PPHop-ManlyMoments-June2018-Lori-DSC06570

I took one of the cardbases from the kit and cut the wood grain and plaid sections off of the card base so that I could use the pieces to decorate and create a really fun pocket card.

PPHop-ManlyMoments-June2018Flat-Lori-DSC06574

The front pocket can house the woodgrain notecard, but there are so many different items you can tuck into pocket cards:  bookmarks, magnets, tags, gift cards, and personalized notes.

Cute Thank You Tag

You are not probably going to believe this, but this little tag is made up of scraps that were laying around my craft counter.  **squeal**  I inked the "thank you" image in Mossy Meadow and stamped first and 2nd renditions onto the scrap stitched shape circle.  The woodgrain strip is from the pocket notecard that I trimmed down.  Super cute, right?!!

I'm really pleased with how these projects came together...clean and simple!  The pocket card can be for any occasion, too...birthday, anniversary, etc.  Gotta love the creations that are designed to accommodate more than one occasion.  :)

To get more inspiration for alternative ideas creating with the May Paper Pumpkin kit, make sure you visit the other A Paper Pumpkin Thing Group members' blogs to see what projects they have created to share with you.  I'll be on your heals to soak in the new ideas and inspiration.

Stamp It Blog Hop -- Country Livin' Father's Day

May2017-TeamStampIt-Header

Hello and welcome stampers and paper crafters!  I'm so happy that you have stopped by and have jumped on board the May Stamp It Bog Hop.  Because we are nearing the end of May and the next special occasion is only a few weeks away, this month's theme is focusing on Father's Day.  YAY!!  I know that masculine cards can be a struggle for most...including myself, but I've had it in my dreams for a while now what special handmade card I was planning to create.  Let's get mozy-ing along!

If you have been traveling along the Stamp It Group Blog Hop, or, if this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

So, can you believe that I hee-hawed around for almost a year eye-balling this stamp set...Country Livin'?  Every time I saw that set, or a customer or friend would point out this stamp set in the catalog, I always thought of my Dad when I would see the pickup image.  Now, granted I colored this image using a new color, Merry Merlot, but when I was really little, we used to own one of these pickups.  Ours was a really pretty blue.  I didn't watercolor this one blue because I was afraid it might clash with the Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide.

StampItHop-CountryLivinFathersDayFlat-Lori-DSC06533

Do you spy some new papers?  and, perhaps, a new stamp set?  Teehehe!  Well, then, you have a pretty good eye!  I love that I get to preorder certain new products before the whole catalog goes live.  The rest of the patterns found in the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper are just as wonderful, too.  I immediately fell in love with the stamp set "Itty Bitty Greetings" the minute I laid my eyes on it when we got the new catalog during OnStage in April!  **squeal**  I'm sure you will, too!

For more Father's Day themed inspiration, make sure you hop on over to the next Stamp It Group members' blogs to see what projects they have to share.  Thank you so much for stopping by....stop back again real soon.

Creative Inking Blog Hop -- Sneak Peek 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Catalog

Hello stamper and crafter friends! Welcome to my crafty spot on the Creative Inking Blog Hop for the month of May!  I am super excited to share my creation because I've been Stampin' Dreams for a few days now.  This months theme is to play with our new 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! pre-order goodies!! **squeal** l have to tell you that it was a struggle trying to figure out just which 'toys' to play with first, but I managed to narrow it down.  Do you want to see?  haha...dumb question, I know! :)

Before choosing which stamp set, dies and other goodies, I decided to choose my color combination.  Doesn't this color combination just look yummy?  I wanted to make sure that I was using at least 1-2 new or returning colors, because let's face it...the regular colors that we have had around for awhile...well, have been around for a while.  :)  My main focus is geared towards a young couple who will be exchanging their vows next month.  I wanted something beautiful, intricate, and pretty darned special.

  • The patterned background comes from the amazing Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.  WOW!!  There are 8 sheets and each sheet has a TON of these laser-cut patterns...many different designs.  After I cut this one down, I decided to back it with So Saffron and pop it up onto the base using Stampin' Dimensionals.  It measures 3-3/8" x 4-7/8".

CreativeInkingHop-StitchedAllAroundRight-Lori-DSC06520

  • The stamp set is called "Stitched All Around" and it has a pretty cool coordinating set of dies to go along with it.  YEAH!!  The dies are called "Stitched Labels Framelits".  Look at how well the framed die accentuates the laser-cut background...just like a new couple getting married...truly meant to be together.  :)

  CreativeInkingHop-StitchedAllAroundFlat-Lori-DSC06518

  •  The sentiment was inked with Memento Black ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits dies set.  I wanted this part to help bring attention to the detailed laser-cut piece....like it really needs it.  HA!

CreativeInkingHop-StitchedAllAroundFlatClose-Lori-DSC06517

  • I absolutely LOVE the delicacy of this card.  I have planned to pass it onto a lovely couple who has invited us to their wedding next month.  This layout could easy be re-created using their wedding colors, too.  Pretty-pretty-pretty!!

And, there you have it!! I topped it off with some Gold Metallic Thread and Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.  A wedding card isn't complete without pearls, right?!!  :)

It is always my passion to inspire you with my papercrafting projects.  I hope I have peaked your excitement to get your dreams stamped out onto paper using some of the products that I have shared with you.  I truly live to inspire!! OSAT Blog Hop -- On The Red Carpet with Share What You Love!!

OSATBlogHop-2018Header

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Welcome to my blog for the May One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop!  We are pulling out the Red Carpet to show off some Glam and Glitz with our creations. How fun is this going to be?  Waaay fun!  Let's check it out!

This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful craftiness, click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end.

OSATHop-RedCarpetWOW-LoveWhatYouDoCard-Right-Lori-DSC06491

I couldn't pass up the chance to pull out some brand new products that you, me...everyone...can preorder before the new Annual catalog goes live on June 1st.  The Share What You Love bundles are a HUGE hit, but the "Gotta Have It All" is the bomb!  The Share What You Love Designer Series Paper is ooh-la-la-licious!!

OSATHop-RedCarpetWOW-LoveWhatYouDo-Flat-Lori-DSC06495

The Love What You Do stamp set is super cute, too.  Outside of the nature images, the mix of fonts for each sentiment image is my favorite.  I love the combination of block-ish type fonts with a really pretty cursive font...really adds elegance and emphasis to the emotions behind the sentiment.

OSATHop-RedCarpetWOW-LoveWhatYouDo-Left-Lori-DSC06492

I have to tell you that my heart is sooo happy to see that Blackberry Bliss has made a come-back with the new color revamp!  It is oh-so pretty paired with a brand new color...Grapefruit Grove.

Share What You Love Mini Writing Tablets

It has been forever since I have decorated a notepad.  The cardstock cover is Tranquil Tide while implementing some coordinating Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake.  It is a beautiful day to create a fun little gift for a dear friend or relative.  The 1/8" Black Cord just adds that little oomph and pizzazz.

OSATHop-RedCarpetWOW-ShareWhatYouLoveNotebook-Flat-Lori-DSC06481

I couldn't believe it when I found a package of 5 notepads that reminded me of Mint Macaron.  And, I was right...it coordinated perfectly for the project I had in mind.  Each notepad had a thin chipboard backing, so it made it nice to glue it to the back of the cardstock back.

OSATHop-RedCarpetWOW-NotebookSide-Lori-DSC06484

The Love What You Do stamp set comes in any of the 3 Share What You Love bundles, but the Share What You Love Designer Series paper only comes in the "Gotta Have It All" bundle.  Who doesn't want to have it all?!!  You really need to get your hands on this new designer series paper...oh-soooo pretty!

At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next OSAT designers blog.  You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun and exciting to share with you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop -- You Are My Anchor

Hello and welcome Stampers and Papercrafters!  It is May...already! but we have a really fun A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop to share with you!!  A number of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the April monthly kit named "You Are My Anchor".  I'm super excited to share what I created for you....let's get to it, shall we!

PPHop-HeaderPic

Do you have a sailor or avid boater in the family?  How cute is this kit?  Fun 3" x 3" cards with coordinating envelopes...then you can tuck a set of five into the adorable gift box.  You'll have four wonderful gifts...all out of ONE little kit!  Can't beat that, I'd say! ;)

April2018-YouAreMyAnchor

I decided to take one cardbase from each design and cut the 3" x 6" in half.  The Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes were calling my name to enhance and add the original designed 3" x 3" card to the front.  I focused on adding cardstock pieces in the coordinating colors of Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Pool Party.

PP-April2018-YoureMyAnchorGroupFlat-Lori-DSC06454

One more added feature was to emboss the cardstock strip layers using the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder.  I couldn't resist...it was meant to have a little bit of wave with the images.  :)

This set of 5 notecards went together pretty quickly.  Now, all I have to do is add a little coordinating stamped image to the envelopes and I have a 'larger' gift set of cards to give away.  By cutting the 3" x 3"s in half, I'll get double the amount of cards because all but one had the matching design on the other half.  **squeal**
