This months kit is very elegant and is designed for all occasions...sympathy, thinking of you, congratulations, etc. Super exciting!!
For my creation, I did a combination of products from the paper pumpkin kit and coordinating colors of cardstock and classic inks (Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss and Flirty Flamingo).
This kit came with small-type tags, but I was needing a sympathy card and really wanted the sentiment to stand out and make a statement. The Old Olive cardstock strip was run through the Big Shot using the new Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder. I was looking for texture and something solid to help the matted focal point stand out a bit from the floral cardbase.
The Flirty Flamingo & Silver Baker's Twine was my main factor determining the large scalloped Oval die cut from Silver Foil paper. The rest of the card front helped me bring in little bits of the other colors...Blackberry Bliss accenting the Shimmery White Oval die cut and the Old Olive and Flirty Flamingo ink colors for the sentiment. I love how Stampin' Up! makes it sooo easy for me to coordinate the color palettes to various papers, inks, and embellishments.
So, what do you think? I love the sentiment...and, I love the different color tones of the floral card front. My hope is that it will bring a warm smile to my friends face who is dealing with a tragic loss of a dear loved one.
Floral Cardbase Turns into Gift Box
Now to flip to an exciting occasion, I have a few of my team members who have recently hit a couple of different milestones. I love to recognize them with little gifts of appreciation and gratitude that they have chosen me to be their team leader.
Look how beautiful this little box turned out...so elegant! The lid comes from the card base front...the box bottom was made using the back of the card base. How cool is that?!!
Little gift boxes are always a big hit with mini York Peppermint Patties! :) I'm really pleased with how these projects came together...super easy, elegant and FUN!
