I was preparing for a craft fair this last weekend and had made up all of my September Paper Pumpkin Frights and Delights treat bags to hand out to shoppers stopping by my booth. Now that those are all gone, what do you have left in your Paper Pumpkin box? The stamp set, ink spot, and other extra pieces from the kit, right? What do you do with those items — pack up and store them for a rainy day (although, it's been raining in my area for 4 days straight!)? OR, do you keep playing and making new stuff?
Normally, my stamp sets and ink spots get put to the side while I feverishly work on my next projects, but not this time! I wanted to show myself that there is still lots of life in these amazing images by creating my own "Designer Series Paper"! That's right! Have you ever noticed that there isn't any decorative patterned paper to play with?
In true color, Basic Gray Classic ink will appear much darker than what you see on my card. To avoid stealing the eye from the sentiment focal point, I inked up the various images, stamped off one time, then stamped onto the Whisper White layer. I did the same with the Pumpkin Pie Jack-o-Lantern, too. Now the spider and bat were full ink, but because they are small, it gave some contrast to the "designer paper" I was creating.
There were, at least, half a dozen of the 'Boo!' stickers leftover from the kit, plus, lots of Black/Silver Baker's Twine to help adorn the focal image. The Everyday Label punch made a quick background layer for the Pumpkin Pie Stitched Shapes Square. A nice accent to show off the sticker, too. Stinkin' cute!!
Even though the kit contained all of the supplies to create 24 adorable Halloween treat bags, I enjoyed using the leftover supplies, and a few of my own, to create my own spooktacular fun!
