Has your crafting table ever been flowing with lots of shapes of cardstock, stamped images, and die cut pieces that didn't make the cut for the original project you were working on at that time?  Yeah, me too!  I have been feverishly working on sooo many different projects using Sale-A-Bration stamps, paper and embellishments the past few weeks.  I decided I was going to create this little gem using up a few of those pieces.  We've got a little bit of Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper, flower and leaves; and, the sentiment comes from the Part of My Story stamp set. Both are available to earn free with either a $50 or $100 product purchase.  Can you save LOVELY?!!

The Painted Seasons Designer paper layer was cut out using one of the Stitched Rectangles and rests on the Basic Black layer that was dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing folder.  The sentiment was inked and heat embossed with Black Embossing powder on a Vellum Oval die cut that was framed with Pool Party cardstock.  This layer was set in place using Stampin' Dimensionals.

And, look at that beautiful flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set inked up with Poppy Parade...same color as the Painted Seasons paper layer.  Color coordination made super easy!  The leaves were inked with Granny Apple Green and added to the flower to make an arrangement.  Can you see the depth and dimension of those stamped images?  These are Stampin' Up!'s new "Distinktive" style of imagery...one single stamp impression.  Sooo pretty and half the work of double- and triple-step stamping that we've had in past stamp sets.

There were several different colors of ink pads on my table...definitely making this whole project super simple!  All of the little butterflies were inked with Balmy Blue, while the larger butterfly wings are a mix of Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, and Lemon Lime Twist.

The sentiment comes from the wonderful Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.  There is a good mix of traditional birthday wishes and fun sayings, but, like this one, there are several 'smarty-pants' type sentiments.  My siblings always razz me about being the oldest in the group, so this one fits them perfectly.

Coordinating Bookmark with Butterfly Gala

Since I had accomplished one simple stamping project, I thought I'd create a little gift to coordinate with the card.  This little bookmark is perfect for marking any special section in your Annual or Occasions catalog, don't you think?  Well, I suppose you could use it for a regular fiction novel or romance story book, too.  Clean and simple stamping, and sooo cute!!
