OSAT Blog Hop — Simple Stamping Itty Bitty Birthdays

Happy New Year stampers and paper crafters!  My name is Lori Mueller ( and I want to welcome you to my blog and the February One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop!  This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful craftiness, click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end.

This month's theme is "#simplestamping".  First off, I gotta tell you that simple stamping is REALLY hard for me.  And, how the heck do I create something without my Big Shot!  ACK!  It's always attached to my hip and is my bestest crafty friend!  I'm a multi-layers, texture and embellishments kind of crafter.  After that minor heart murmur, I do have to say I think I did okay.  Let's take a peek and you be the judge.

I love that this butterfly image in the Butterfly Gala stamp set is all one image because then it was one less image that I had to line up.  Is that lazy, or what!  Well, if I'm going simple, I think it's good to be a tad lazy.  Haha!  There are several designs of butterflies, but I liked this one best because of the solid tails...I think it went better with the theme of my card.

There were several different colors of ink pads on my table...definitely making this whole project super simple!  All of the little butterflies were inked with Balmy Blue, while the larger butterfly wings are a mix of Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, and Lemon Lime Twist.

The sentiment comes from the wonderful Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.  There is a good mix of traditional birthday wishes and fun sayings, but, like this one, there are several 'smarty-pants' type sentiments.  My siblings always razz me about being the oldest in the group, so this one fits them perfectly.

Coordinating Bookmark with Butterfly Gala

Since I had accomplished one simple stamping project, I thought I'd create a little gift to coordinate with the card.  This little bookmark is perfect for marking any special section in your Annual or Occasions catalog, don't you think?  Well, I suppose you could use it for a regular fiction novel or romance story book, too.  Clean and simple stamping, and sooo cute!!

At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next OSAT designers blog.  You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun and exciting to share with you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!
