OSAT Blog Hop — Fabulous Floral Essence

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Welcome to the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop.  My name is Lori Mueller (stampindreams.com) and I'm super excited to have you visiting me today.  This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful craftiness, click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end.  We've got some amazing projects to share with you!

This month's theme is "Fabulous Florals", which is a pretty easy one for me because I find it relaxing to create using any number of floral stamp sets, punches or die cuts.

I'm not sure if you've heard yet, but we have a brand new Annual catalog debuting in early June, so I thought I would share a sneak peek of a new stamp set called Floral Essence.  There is one image in the set that coordinates with a punch, but I'll wait to share those creations at a later time.  The cardbase is Flirty Flamingo with a Mossy Meadow cardstock layer that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder.  This layer was set up to frame the beautiful Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper...center was die cut using the Rectangle Stitched dies.

The Mossy Meadow 'frame' was popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals for the illusion of a picture frame.  The floral images were inked with Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo with floral centers inked with Daffodil Delight and a hint of Crumb Cake.  To enhance the beauty of the designer series paper, the sentiment was inked with Early Espresso and stamped directly onto the patterned paper, covered with clear embossing powder and heat set using the Heat Tool.

If you know me, you know that I love vintage-y and rustic elements.  The new 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim coming out in the new annual catalog is dainty and lovely...adding the perfect little vintage component in the corner.  Every elegant creation needs a little bit of bling, too, so I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the flower centers and scattered some Gingham Gala Adhesive-backed Sequins throughout. I'm very pleased with how this turned out...what do you think?

Happy Anniversary Gift Tag/Insert

After creating the Mossy Meadow frame for the card using the Stitched Rectangle die, it was only fair that the die cut get to play a part to coordinate with the lovely card.  Simply add a piece of the same patterned Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper, stamp the flower image with Calypso Coral ink, and heat emboss the sentiment with Early Espresso ink and clear embossing powder edged with the 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim as the card.  This could be added to a gift bag or inserted inside a gift package as a thoughtful tag insert.  (NOTE:  The "Happy Anniversary" sentiment comes from the To Have and To Hold stamp set that will retire the end of May 2019).
