Every month, the kits include enough supplies to create the designed projects. And, that is what I primarily focus on using on my alternate projects to share with you, but this month, I was more drawn to using only the stamp set. I loved the designed card projects in the kit that I did not want to chop up any of the card bases, envelopes, or steal the dies and embellishments to create an alternative.
I love to create the non-typical sized card. Yes, I have to be different, but if truth be told, I had a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock that was in my scrap folder measuring 8-1/2" x 4-1/4" — perfect for a square card!
I'm certain the stamp set included in the kit is going to get a lot of attention from me to create a variety of cards. I mean, look at those lovely sentiments! Very versatile and has "all occasion" written all over them. :) A definite keeper, plus, a bonus from the kits — you build a small collection of stamp sets and ink spots that doesn't break the bank and will give you endless hours of creations.
The instructions sheet that comes in the kit always lists the coordinating colors that go with the included supplies. Since the cards were featuring three different product suites, there were a lot of colors to choose from, but I managed to narrow down to Terracotta Tile, Mint Macaron, and Seaside Spray to stamp the medallion. Someone might ask if I used the Stamparatus to stamp the medallion image so evenly...my answer would be 'not this time'. Since the stamp sets are photopolymer, I felt pretty comfortable stamping the image with my old eyeballs and a pair of 'cheater' glasses. LOL!
On My Mind Dove Candy Holder
I'm on a mission to use up some Sahara Sand cardstock scraps, so this 1-1/2" x 4-3/4" strip was my inspiration to hold a nice piece of Dove chocolate. I scored it at 2-1/8 and 2-5/8" and fancied up the top using the Delightful Tag Topper punch.
