This Fall season has been flying so we will be sharing all sorts of handmade cards and giftable projects that hit several occasions...Fall, Thanksgiving, and even Christmas. YIKES!  I chose to stick with the current weather and focus on the few days of Fall that we'll see before the snow starts flying.

For my card, I'm featuring the Gather Together Suite of products.  I'm super happy to see one of the patterns from the Come To Gather designer series paper pack is a woodgrain pattern.  That just never seems to get old for me and is a natural and neutral pattern to include for any style of creation.

When I first saw the Gather Together stamp set, the first thing I got excited about was the one large leaf image.  I haven't done the Diaper Wipe technique in ages and it seems like the last time I played with it was creating a fall-type card.  Funny!  I chose to use the coordinating colors from the Come To Gather designer series paper pack — Pretty Peacock, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz to create my own "ink pad".  You start with a strofoam plate (or something that won't soak through to your work surface) and one baby wipe folded in half, then in half again.  To create your color palette that will be your "ink pad" for the leaf image, place 5-6 droplets of each ink color on the baby wipe.  Continue to do this with each color, filling in big gaps and let the droplets 'wick' together naturally.  Ink up your leaf image and stamp on the Whisper White piece of cardstock to create your own 'designer paper'.  You'll see magic when the image picks up the ink that you randomly dropped onto the baby wipe.  So cooool!

I loved the idea of stamping the sentiment on one of the wood pieces from the Tags & Feathers Elements packs, but I did find it a bit difficult to get any of the Classic ink colors to show up with a crisp and clear image. The ink wanted to soak into the wood piece, so I suggest using Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp onto the wood piece.  It is a more permanent ink and will less likely fade into the wooden element.  The wooden piece rests on a Cajun Craze scalloped circle and is garnished with a Cajun Craze linen thread bow (comes from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo pack).
