Stamp It Blog Hop — Father's Day Celebration

Hello stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you are here.  Welcome to our May Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop and not miss a beat.

Stamp-it-fathers-day

This month's hop share is all about Father's Day...it's only a few weeks away, so if the man in your life is a hard one to buy for, you better get shoppin'!  As far as the card goes, I've got a super cool masculine card to share with you today...kind of reminds me of a retro style, but not sure.  Either way, I can't wait to share how it all came together.

StampItHop-WellSaidFathersDayFlat-Lori-DSC01669
The Last-Chance Products list is slowly getting shorter as items are flying off the shelves.  I wanted to get one last card made using the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies.  If you struggle creating masculine cards, these dies will be your best friend because you can generate any name or sentiment without worrying whether your final creation has a slight feminine or masculine look...they are non-gender specific!

StampItHop-WellSaidFathersDayFlatClose-Lori-DSC01673

The 'dad' letters were die cut from Champagne Foil Sheets and popped up onto a rainbow of cardstock strips that were adhered to a piece of Whisper White cardstock, then die cut with a Stitched Nested Labels dies.  The measures 4-3/8" from tip-to-tip and 2-3/8 tall.  The rainbow consists of Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Poppy Parade and Night of Navy...so vibrant!

StampItHop-WellSaidFathersDay-Lori-DSC01663

The Night of Navy background piece was embossed using a NEW 3D embossing folder (this is a sneak peek!) called Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing folder.  Love the subtle-ness, which helps tone down the brightness of the Stitched Nested Labels panel.  The panel was popped up with dimensionals and set into place with several rounds of Linen Thread tucked behind.  The sentiments come from the Well Said stamp set and were inked with Jet Black Memento ink onto some scrap Crushed Curry, hand trimmed to size and attached to the card with Black Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  I chose the Black dimensionals because it won't show the starkness of the regular white dimensionals with all of the darker-toned cardstock used on the card.

Would you like to create this super cute Well Said Father's Day card?  I have posted the entire supply list below and made it easy for you to click on any of the images to add to your shopping cart from my online store.  I would be so very grateful to you and your support for shopping with me.  Check out my Dreamers Loyalty Reward Program...I love what I do and very much appreciate YOU.  So, I pay it back and reward my loyal customers with a FREE shopping spree. You fill my cup!

For more Father's Day themed creations that I'm sure will be favorites for you to try, make sure you hop on over to the next Stamp It Group members blogs to see what amazing creations they have to share.  Thank you so much for stopping by....stop back again real soon.

Memorial Day Thank You to America's Heros

Happy Memorial Day stampers!!

MemorialDay-ThankYouFlagDieCard-Lori-DSC01599

Today, I'm sharing a card I created in remembrance and honor of our America's heroes.  I used the retiring Thank You Die as my focal image, as it says it all on a day like today.  It's not always an easy task for me, but I was able to create a nice, clean and simple layout that would fit more of the casual stamper category.

MemorialDayThankYouFlagSponge-Lori-DSC01598

With the help of a couple of Sponge Daubers to create a simulated American flag, I sponged on some Night of Navy and Real Red ink in a swirling motion to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I die cut the Thank You from the sponged piece, plus, die cut two more Thank You's from regular Whisper White cardstock.

MemorialDayThankYouFlagDie-Close-Lori-DSC01594

I glued all three Thank You die layers to each making sure to stack them with the sponged layer on top.  This technique adds dimension and the look of white chipboard.  I die cut a couple different sizes of Stitched Stars from Vellum cardstock and set in place on a Whisper White cardstock layer that was embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder.  I'm super sad the Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon is on the retirement list...I use that stuff A LOT!  My favorite part is to separate the long strands and use them to add a bit of rustic feel to my creations.

MemorialDayThankYouFlagDieFlat-Lori-DSC01593

A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels adorn the final step to bring all of the elements together on this day of remembrance.  God bless the Red, White and Blue!  Thank you to all those that risked their life for me to live life freely.  I'm sooo-so thankful; you will never be forgotten!

Click the video to see the step-by-step tutorial.  I started the card demonstration at about 7:30 minutes into the recording.  Enjoy!

Creative Inking Blog Hop — Saying Goodbye To These Favorites

Hello stampers and crafty friends!  It's May 20th, and you know what that means, right?  Yup!  Our amazing Creative Inking designers have created an inspiring group of projects themed as "Saying Goodbye to these Favorites".  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the very talented Colleen Vassos' blog. Please be sure to click the 'Next' button (found below) to move along the Creative Inking blog hop to see all the beautiful projects.

CreativeInking-HeaderImage

I had set aside my stash of 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper and all accessories and embellishments to play with the goodies I purchased in the January-June 2020 Mini catalog.  Ever since the Last Chance Products list came out, I've been on a binge creating cards using those In Color products that were collecting dust on the shelf.  ACK!  I'm sooo going to miss them!  Isn't that the way it always goes...when you know that you are down to your last couple sheets, or few yards of ribbon, or a handful of embellishments...that's when FMO (the fear of missing out) sets in.

CreativeInkingHop-TimelessTulips19-21Two-Lori-DSC01547
It's fun to choose one card design that can easily be adapted to any of the four patterns in the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series pack.  I'd have to say that the small buffalo check was my most loved, but the other patterns were a close 2nd.  The rest of the layout is the consistent that makes it easy to create in an assembly line fashion.
InColorDesignerSeriesPaper-149617G FacetedDots-149607G

Now, I don't want to confuse you into believing that these In Colors are retiring because that is not true.  WHEW!!  Only these particular patterns of designer paper and coordinating Faceted Dots.  These embellishments are unique in design as they were not smoothly rounded...there are carvings like what a diamond would have.  One might say they are 'diamonds in the rough' that are self-adhesive.

CreativeInkingHop-TimelessTulips19-21Three-Lori-DSC01554
For this particular card layout and the flexibility of patterned papers, I'm also open to adding different sentiments.  They can be finished off as birthday cards — feminine or masculine — get well, sympathy, or any occasion you desire.  I'm sure going to miss this paper pack and accessories.  You'll find both of them offered at a discount in my online store.  Go check it out because they are only available while supplies last!

Now, if you have ever thought about getting more for your money purchasing all of your favorite Stampin' Up! products, I highly recommend that you purchase the "Happy Shopper" Starter Kit and save 20% with each purchase.  There really isn't anything to lose...only lots of product to gain!  But, until you make that leap to join my Stampin' Up! family and fill your starter kit with new January-June Mini products you'll find the ingredients listed below, and I've set it up super easy for you to click on any of the images and add to your shopping cart in my online store.  I would be so very grateful to you and your support for shopping with me.  Check out my Dreamers Loyalty Reward Program...I love what I do and very much appreciation YOU.  So, I pay it back and reward my loyal customers with a FREE shopping spree. You fill my cup!

So with one click you can be on your way to soak in some more inspiration showcasing more "Saying Goodbye to these Favorites" creations using supplies from any of the current catalogs from the rest of the group.  Your next stop on the hop will be with our very creative, Dena Rekow.  I know her creation will be fabulous...she always shares a gorgeous creation (or two) to share with everyone. Click on the 'Next' button and you'll be at your next stop.  Have fun filling your inspiration bucket...don't forget to come back real soon.  :)

OSAT Blog Hop — Manly Country Club Golfer

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Welcome to the May One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop.  My name is Lori Mueller (stampindreams.com) and I'm excited you've stopped by.  This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful project(s), click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end.  We've got some amazing projects to share with you!

OSATBlogHop-2018Header

This month's theme is "Manly May" or anything masculine.  Well, that means I get to play with the Country Club Suite of products.  My husband's favorite pasttime is golfing, and due to the strange weather in Nebraska the last couple of years, the golf courses have only been closed a handful of weeks.  When he's out on the greens, I'm content to stamp and share my creations with you.  YAY!!

OSATHop-ManlyGolferFront-Lori-DSC01454
The starting point for this card was the Country Club Designer Series Paper.  There's a retired pro golfer who was easily recognized by the argyle pants he wore during each tournament.  This pattern reminded me of him.  I love the color combination of Mint Macaron, Garden Green, Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry.  The subtle Mint Macaron cardbase sets the tone for the Golf Club die to stand as a silhouette resting on a Poppy Parade die cut from the Painted Labels die set.

OSATHop-ManlyGolferFlat-Lori-DSC01462
The Golf Club die set has all the elements that you'd find in a typical golf bag — golf tees, golf balls, clubs, and a bit of cut grass from the course.  At the end of the year, there's enough of the dried out grass to build a birds nest!  Well, maybe not that much, but pretty close!  I took a piece of the Garden Green Country Club Twine and unwound all the fine strands to wrap and tie into a bow.  It reminded me of all the grass stuck to the bottom of golf shoes and the towel used to wash and dry the balls that rolled into a pond or sand bunker.

OSATHop-ManlyGolferRT-Lori-DSC01458

The sentiment came from the Clubhouse stamp set. It was inked with Night of Navy, stamped onto Whisper White cardstock, and die cut with a banner die found in the Golf Club die set.  The Golf cart shield is part of one of the Country Club Designer Series paper patterns — and, there's a die, too!  Gotta love it when dies and designer paper coordinate!  I finished with a splattered texture over the card front using the brush end of my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker and flicking it from the inside of the cap.  Envision the golfer in a sand bunker and that is sand flying after the swing!  Teehehe

At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next OSAT designers blog.  You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun, cute and exciting to share with you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!

ThankYou-ABigThankYou

I'm so very grateful; and I'm not sure I can say thank you enough to everyone that stops to visit me.  I love the visits and wonderful thoughts you share with your comments.  If you've ever purchased a stamp set, dies, paper, ink, embellishments, etc. from my online shop, I literally did a happy dance when your order came in.  And, if you've ever shared a card or other bit of handmade kindness using Stampin' Up! products, my heart leaps for joy.  I appreciate you and all of your wonderful support of my favorite stamping business.  If you haven't already, please share and invite your friends to stop by, too.  Oh, and subscribe to my blog so that you don't miss a single post.  I'm very passionate to share my love for papercrafting with you. If you are a new visiting crafter looking for a demonstrator to shop with, I would be ecstatic and honored to be your creative coach.

Stamping Around The World — Clubhouse Golfers Birthday Gift

AroundTheWorld-CountryBlogHop-Header

Good morning, my crafty friends!  If you've been traveling along the Stamping Around The World Blog Hop; or, if this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me Lori Mueller, Stampin' Dreams. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog...you definitely want to make sure you see all of the amazing creations shared by the design team.

SATWHop-ClubhouseGolfJar-Lori-DSC01436
When the January-June 2020 Mini catalog came out, I was super excited to see that it FINALLY included a stamp set featuring my husbands FAVorite hobby — golf!  His birthday is next month and it is only fitting for me to create this adorable upcycled jar filled with large gum balls to simulate the many golf balls he totes around in his bag.  Every time he hits a ball with a 'hook' or 'slice' (not always a good thing because it means his ball left the main fairway), he'll find his ball, plus, another!  His collection keeps growing...faster than my stamp collection!  Teehehe

SATWHop-ClubhouseGolfJarStamps-Lori-DSC01440

Not only did Stampin' Up! come up with the Clubhouse stamp set, but an entire suite of products.  Sure, the Country Club Designer Series paper pack includes sheets showcasing golf carts, golf balls, tees, and flag poles, but there are a number of argyle and plaid patterns, too.  Meaning, this paper pack has patterns that can be used year-round.  That's a huge plus for the well-rounded paper crafter!

SATWHop-ClubhouseGolfJarSuite-Lori-DSC01441

Of course, with a suite of products, there are some wonderful tools and accessories to adorn a project.  The coordinating Golf Club Dies include 14 dies — not only do they coordinate with the Clubhouse stamp images, but several of them line up to images found in the Country Club Designer Series paper.  YAY!  The Garden Green golf cart shield you see in the center and plaid banners were all die cut from the same patterned sheet.  The wooden pieces come from the Country Club Elements and really add some great dimension and connectivity to a golf course.  Depending on where you live, most golf courses are landscaped with a wide variety of trees, evergreens, and shrubbery...very woodsy.

ClubhouseGolferBirthday-Thumbnail1Marked-Lori-DSC01371

Here's a sneak peek of my project included in the May Stamping Around The World Tutorial Bundle.  It was my inspiration when designing my card.  Can you see the detail in the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing?  If you ask me, this handsome texture is not just for the golf nut.  I'm thinking winter sweaters and sweater vests.  LOVE!

Would you like to create this handsome gift package for your favorite golfing friend?   I've listed all of the supplies I used at the bottom of this post; and, it's all set up super easy for you to click on any of the images and add to your shopping cart in my online store.  I would be so very grateful to you and your support for shopping with me.  For more beautiful inspiration, you'll want to make sure you hop on over to the next Stamping Around The World members' blogs to see all of the amazing creations they have to share.  Thank you so much for stopping by....stop back again real soon.

Hello my stampers and paper crafting friends!  Happy May Day!  It's time for a new month with our Stamping Around The World Design Team get-together who have been busy designing and creating a new bundled collection of tutorials for you.  We only create projects using current (and super amazing) Stampin' Up! products from the current catalogs (Annual and January-June 2020 Mini). The Last-Chance Products List has been posted, so some of our projects do include stamps, papers, accessories and tools that will be retiring June 2nd, or while supplies last.  Nonetheless, each project is AHHH-mazing and can be used in the future with different stamped images, tools, papers and accessories!  :)  I'm really excited to share the details with you!
Tutorial Bundle-Header2020If this is your first time visiting me and you are not aware of our team, let me explain...at the beginning of each month from January – June 2020, each of us will put together a full-color, step-by-step tutorial that will create a bundle of 12 tutorials. What does that mean for you? Oh my goodness...let me tell you.  It means YOU will receive lots of cards and gift/treat packaging ideas that are fun and exciting — all of this to help you stamp your dreams in a worry and stress-free environment! YAY!  Here is our team of 12 designers:

I'm so blessed to be working with this wonderful group of creative and very talented demonstrators from "around the world" who love to stamp fun projects as much as I do; and we know that you will love collecting all the tutorials released each month.  Besides having 12 designers, there's another bonus!! These tutorials are available in both metric and imperial (inches).  So, no matter where you live in the world, you can purchase these tutorials from me to make great homemade projects and gifts!

Here's a sneak peek of my project in our May PDF bundle (**squeal**) featuring the Clubhouse stamp set and coordinating Golf Club Dies.  All tutorials are noted with full-color pictures, step-by-step instructions and measurements to help you enjoy a smooth and worry-free session of stamping!  YAY!!
