Hello my stamping friends! Welcome to our first PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop! I am so excited you are here. Our Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are collaborating to create alternate projects using the supplies (plus, additional supplies) that come with each monthly Paper Pumpkin kit. Each month, my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and members of my Stampin' Up! family of demonstrators receive exclusive tutorials to beautiful alternate projects created by our PPX Crew. Well, now we are creating a 2nd alternate project that is being shared with everyone!
This month's blog hop features the lovely Haunts & Harvest (September 2021) kit. I chose to focus on the stamp set included with the kit and the coordinating Harvest Meadows Designer Series Paper because the kits treat packages are so stinking cute that I have assembled them per the instructions and will be handing out to colleagues and students.
The Crumb Cake cardbase has one of the Misty Moonlight patterns from the Harvest Meadows Designer Series paper pack with a strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock on the right. The Very Vanilla layer was first dry embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, then die cut the center with a Stitched Rectangles Die (2-1/8 x 3-1/2).
For a bit of Fall color, I bordered the left edge of the Timber embossed layer with a strip of Bumblebee cardstock. Garnish the open frame area with a piece of 3/8 Diamond Weave Ribbon finished off with Linen Thread tied into a bow. Adhere to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere the Stitched Rectangle die cut directly to the card front. Ink and stamp the large leaf image from the Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin kit with Pumpkin Pie and Bumblebee, adding the veins with Soft Suede ink. The small leaf was inked and stamped using Soft Succulent, Poppy Parade and Pale Papaya ink pads. All of the leaves were fussy cut (hand cut using Paper Snips) and added to the center using Multipurpose Liquid glue with exception to the Bumblebee large leaf. It was added with a Dimensional. The sentiment was inked with Misty Moonlight and stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and added to the card front with Dimensionals.
At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next PPX Crew designers blog. You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun, cute and exciting to share with you. If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below. Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!
