OSAT Blog Hop — Pretty In Pink Flowers for Every Season

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  The heat of summer in July is here; and so is our One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop.  My name is Lori Mueller (stampindreams.com) and I'm excited you've stopped by.  This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful project(s), click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end.  We've got some amazing projects to share with you!

OSAT2020HeaderOur July theme is "Pretty in Pink" and the new 2020-2022 In Color, Magenta Madness sure is purrrrdy!  I have to admit that when I first saw the introduction of this color via a Stampin' Up! video, I was like "ewwww", turning up my nose and telling myself 'that pink is too retro for my creative tastes'.  Well, I'm here to tell you that I'm eating my words right about now.  ACK!

OSATHop-PinkPlayfulAlphabet-Lori-DSC02382
The new Flowers for Every Season Designer Series paper has a number of patterns that include Magenta Madness in it.  I love this one with the smaller flower images...made perfect for the die cut from the Hippo & Friends Die set.  The letters from the Playful Alphabet Dies set fit quite nicely in there, too.  To give the "Happy" die cuts some depth, I added a strip of Magenta Madness cardstock to the back using dimensionals.  I had to use Mini Dimensionals that were trimmed to fit for the centers of the "A" and "P".

OSATHop-PinkPlayfulAlphabet-FlatSupplies-Lori-DSC02389
I chose one of the subtle Bumblebee patterns found in the Flowers for Every Season Designer pack to add a light color that would not clash with the floral pattern.  I love how it sits, kitty-wampus, on the card base front so that there's a bit more white showing at skinny angles versus long rectangles.

OSATHop-PinkPlayfulAlphabet-FlatBirthday-Lori-DSC02392

The "Birthday" sentiment comes from the Well Said stamp set and was inked with Magenta Madness, stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and trimmed down with Paper Snips before setting in place with dimensionals.  This stamp set is loaded with sentiments!  I mean, seriously, there are 51 different images in this 2-case bundle.  There's definitely something for every occasion within this set.

OSATHop-PinkPlayfulAlphabetLT-Lori-DSC02387

To add a little more color to the overall card layout, I added some balloon die cuts (Hippo & Friends Dies) using coordinating colors from the floral pattern — Just Jade, Poppy Parade and Magenta Madness.  They each have a strand of Linen Thread that was gathered with a bow to make it look like a balloon bouquet.  Lastly, adhere some of the clear gems from the Flowers for Every Season Gems pack with Multipurpose Liquid glue.  I just love the fun and whimsical appearance of this card!  Suitable for any age, don't you think?

At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next OSAT designers blog.  You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun, cute and exciting to share with you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!

OSAT Blog Hop — New Catalog Get Well Soon with Many Mates

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  It's the 2nd Thursday in June and our One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop is up and running.

OSATBlogHop-2018Header

This month's theme is "Anything New" from the new Annual Idea Book & Catalog.  Well, that won't be hard because there are over 300 brand new items showcased inside those covers.  The hard part was trying to settle on which new products I wanted to play with first!  **squeal**

OSATHop-ManyMatesGetWellRT-Lori-DSC01716
I decided I wanted to play some more with the new 2020-22 In Colors and the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series paper is perfect to help compliment my goal.  The cardbase is the new Just Jade with one of the designer paper patterns matted on Misty Moonlight.  Isn't that color combination just gorgeous?!!

OSATHop-ManyMatesGetWell-FlatSupplies-Lori-DSC01721
I have a couple of friends who have been dealing with some minor health issues; and, several with major health concerns.  Therefore, I'm in desperate need for some Get Well cards.  The new Many Mates stamp set is stocked full of sentiments for all occasions, including the perfect "Get Well Soon" sentiment.  The size and script, coupled with the lovely floral designer paper, is sure to bring a smile to my friends' face.

OSATHop-ManyMatesGetWellLT-Lori-DSC01719

The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Misty Moonlight and punched out with the Fancy Me Label punch.  It's popped up on a Stitched Circle die that is matted with a Bumblebee Layered Circle die.  I die cut the Many Medallions die from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and cut out a small portion to help balance the sentiment layer so that it would not get swallowed up by the floral background.  Last thing was to add a Misty Moonlight/White/Silver Baker's Twine...one of three spools offered in the Flowers for Every Season Combo Pack.

Stamping Around The World — Many Mates and Medallions Congrats

AroundTheWorld-CountryBlogHop-Header

Good morning, my crafty friends!  Welcome to our June Stamping Around The World Blog Hop.  If this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me Lori Mueller, Stampin' Dreams. If you like to skip and hop around and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog...you definitely want to make sure you see all of the amazing creations shared by the design team.

SATWHop-ManyMatesCongratsFlatSupplies-Lori-DSC01694

I know several friends who have recently announced their retirement from their position they've held for a long-long time, which calls for a really special "Congrats on your retirement" card.  The Many Mates stamp set is filled with 19 sentiments that can be arranged as 'mates' for a number of special occasions.  At the same time, a good chunk of the sentiments can be used as stand-alones, too.  It's a great set to have in your stash.

SATWHop-ManyMatesCongratsLeft-Lori-DSC01689

The Forever Greenery Designer Series paper pack is soooo gorgeous!  There are patterns to help create cards/projects geared towards men and women.  I used the color palette designed for this paper — mainly focused on the Soft Sea Foam (cardbase), Pear Pizzazz (matted layer) and Pretty Peacock.  Aren't these colors stunning together?  The main Pretty Peacock panel was embossed with the Tastefully Textile 3D Embossing folder.  I think this is my new FAV-orite embossing texture...it was the right amount of texture to not combat against the florals in the designer paper.  The Pretty Peacock die cut is from the Many Medallions Dies set.

SATWHop-ManyMatesCongrats-Hand-Lori-DSC01698

Of course, there are always new ribbons and accessories introduced when a new catalog comes out.  This canvas-looking ribbon is part of a 2-spool bundle — Forever Greenery Trim pack.  I'm in love with it...so soft and manageable to tie gorgeous knots and bows.  The Gold Hoop is a solid metal and was the right amount of bling to center out the main sentiment.  I added a thin stream of Multipurpose Liquid glue to the back and set in place on the card.

ManyMedallionsFlag-Thumbnail1Marked-Lori-DSC01524.JPG copy

Here's a sneak peek of my project included in the June Stamping Around The World Tutorial Bundle.  Can you see the detail in the Many Medallions Die?  It's focusing on a different die; and, featuring a different occasion.   I've been having so much fun designing new creations using the Many Mates Bundle...it is so versatile to use for any special occasion.

OSAT Blog Hop — Manly Country Club Golfer

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Welcome to the May One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop.

OSATBlogHop-2018Header

This month's theme is "Manly May" or anything masculine.  Well, that means I get to play with the Country Club Suite of products.  My husband's favorite pasttime is golfing, and due to the strange weather in Nebraska the last couple of years, the golf courses have only been closed a handful of weeks.  When he's out on the greens, I'm content to stamp and share my creations with you.  YAY!!

OSATHop-ManlyGolferFront-Lori-DSC01454
The starting point for this card was the Country Club Designer Series Paper.  There's a retired pro golfer who was easily recognized by the argyle pants he wore during each tournament.  This pattern reminded me of him.  I love the color combination of Mint Macaron, Garden Green, Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry.  The subtle Mint Macaron cardbase sets the tone for the Golf Club die to stand as a silhouette resting on a Poppy Parade die cut from the Painted Labels die set.

OSATHop-ManlyGolferFlat-Lori-DSC01462
The Golf Club die set has all the elements that you'd find in a typical golf bag — golf tees, golf balls, clubs, and a bit of cut grass from the course.  At the end of the year, there's enough of the dried out grass to build a birds nest!  Well, maybe not that much, but pretty close!  I took a piece of the Garden Green Country Club Twine and unwound all the fine strands to wrap and tie into a bow.  It reminded me of all the grass stuck to the bottom of golf shoes and the towel used to wash and dry the balls that rolled into a pond or sand bunker.

OSATHop-ManlyGolferRT-Lori-DSC01458

The sentiment came from the Clubhouse stamp set. It was inked with Night of Navy, stamped onto Whisper White cardstock, and die cut with a banner die found in the Golf Club die set.  The Golf cart shield is part of one of the Country Club Designer Series paper patterns — and, there's a die, too!  Gotta love it when dies and designer paper coordinate!  I finished with a splattered texture over the card front using the brush end of my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker and flicking it from the inside of the cap.  Envision the golfer in a sand bunker and that is sand flying after the swing!  Teehehe

Stamping Around The World — Clubhouse Golfers Birthday Gift

AroundTheWorld-CountryBlogHop-Header

Good morning, my crafty friends!  If you've been traveling along the Stamping Around The World Blog Hop; or, if this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me Lori Mueller, Stampin' Dreams. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog...you definitely want to make sure you see all of the amazing creations shared by the design team.

SATWHop-ClubhouseGolfJar-Lori-DSC01436
When the January-June 2020 Mini catalog came out, I was super excited to see that it FINALLY included a stamp set featuring my husbands FAVorite hobby — golf!  His birthday is next month and it is only fitting for me to create this adorable upcycled jar filled with large gum balls to simulate the many golf balls he totes around in his bag.  Every time he hits a ball with a 'hook' or 'slice' (not always a good thing because it means his ball left the main fairway), he'll find his ball, plus, another!  His collection keeps growing...faster than my stamp collection!  Teehehe

SATWHop-ClubhouseGolfJarStamps-Lori-DSC01440

Not only did Stampin' Up! come up with the Clubhouse stamp set, but an entire suite of products.  Sure, the Country Club Designer Series paper pack includes sheets showcasing golf carts, golf balls, tees, and flag poles, but there are a number of argyle and plaid patterns, too.  Meaning, this paper pack has patterns that can be used year-round.  That's a huge plus for the well-rounded paper crafter!

SATWHop-ClubhouseGolfJarSuite-Lori-DSC01441

Of course, with a suite of products, there are some wonderful tools and accessories to adorn a project.  The coordinating Golf Club Dies include 14 dies — not only do they coordinate with the Clubhouse stamp images, but several of them line up to images found in the Country Club Designer Series paper.  YAY!  The Garden Green golf cart shield you see in the center and plaid banners were all die cut from the same patterned sheet.  The wooden pieces come from the Country Club Elements and really add some great dimension and connectivity to a golf course.  Depending on where you live, most golf courses are landscaped with a wide variety of trees, evergreens, and shrubbery...very woodsy.

ClubhouseGolferBirthday-Thumbnail1Marked-Lori-DSC01371

Here's a sneak peek of my project included in the May Stamping Around The World Tutorial Bundle.  It was my inspiration when designing my card.  Can you see the detail in the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing?  If you ask me, this handsome texture is not just for the golf nut.  I'm thinking winter sweaters and sweater vests.  LOVE!

Stamp It Blog Hop — Timeless Tulips for Mother's Day

Hello stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you are here.  Welcome to our April Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop and not miss a beat.

Stamp-it-mothers-day

In just a couple short weeks, we will be celebrating Mother's Day, which is our creative theme this month!  Tulips are going to be the flower of celebration this year because of it's multitude of colors available.  One day, I hope to travel to the Netherlands during the prime season of the Tulip fields.  I've seen lots and lots of beautiful pictures...so dreamy!

StampItHop-MothersDayTulips-Lori-DSC01385
The Last-Chance Products list was released earlier this week, which includes the 2018-2020 In Colors:  Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch.  I wanted to create a 'field of tulips in Amersterdam', but on a much smaller scale, of course.  One of my personal crafting struggles is to create simply, using only stamps, paper and ink.  I think I achieved it — sort of — I did use a couple of punches.  The struggle is real!  The Starburst Punch also landed on the Last-Chance List...I'm going to miss this one.  Another goal is to show off all of the retiring In Colors on one card with the help  of ink, cardstock and ribbon.  WOOT!

Would you like to create this super cute Timeless Tulip Mother's Day card?  I have posted the entire supply list below and made it easy for you to click on any of the images to add to your shopping cart from my online store.  I would be so very grateful to you and your support for shopping with me.  Check out my Dreamers Loyalty Reward Program...I love what I do and very much appreciate YOU.  So, I pay it back and reward my loyal customers with a FREE shopping spree. You fill my cup!

For more Mother's Day themed creations that I'm sure will be favorites for you to try, make sure you hop on over to the next Stamp It Group members blogs to see what amazing creations they have to share.  Thank you so much for stopping by....stop back again real soon.

Creative Inking Blog Hop — Sending Handmade Love with Ornate Garden Flowers

Hello stampers and crafty friends!  Today is blog hop day, April 20th, which means our amazing Creative Inking designers have created an inspiring group of projects themed as "Sending Handmade Love".  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the very talented Colleen Vassos' blog. Please be sure to click the 'Next' button (found below) to move along the Creative Inking blog hop to see all the beautiful projects.

With the unprecedented situation occurring all around the world, we sure could use a little love when we open that mailbox door.  The Ornate Garden Suite of products has definitely proven to be a crowd pleaser and has delivered many smiles and warm hearts since it's early release this month.

CreativeInkingHop-SendingLoveOrnate-Lori-DSC01353

This particular patterned paper from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series paper has a bit of pink that resembles one of our 2018-2020 In Colors — Lovely Lipstick.  I'm sad that it will soon be leaving us (set to retire June 2nd), so I wanted to highlight it with one of the Ornate Layers Dies.

CreativeInkingHop-SendingLoveOrnateHeart-Lori-DSC01362

Sadly, I have a couple of dear friends (also members of my Lori's Dream Team) who have recently lost loved ones...not due to the current health issue, but the situation makes it really tough to mourn with family and friends.  The sentiment comes from the Ornate Thanks stamp set.  It is a perfect sentiment that can stand by itself and fall into several occasions: Thank You, Sympathy, Appreciation, etc.  I decided to snip this long stream of words apart and have it compliment the daisy image from the Ornate Style stamp set that was stamped onto a heart die cut from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.

CreativeInkingHop-SendingLoveOrnateLT-Lori-DSC01355

Everything rests upon a Vellum layer embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  I just love how elegant this came out!  You can see all of the new Ornate Garden Suite of products HERE.

Now, if you have ever thought about getting more for your money purchasing all of your favorite Stampin' Up! products, I highly recommend that you purchase the "Happy Shopper" Starter Kit and save 20% with each purchase.  There really isn't anything to lose...only lots of product to gain!  But, until you make that leap to join my Stampin' Up! family and fill your starter kit with new January-June Mini products you'll find the ingredients listed below, and I've set it up super easy for you to click on any of the images and add to your shopping cart in my online store.  I would be so very grateful to you and your support for shopping with me.  Check out my Dreamers Loyalty Reward Program...I love what I do and very much appreciation YOU.  So, I pay it back and reward my loyal customers with a FREE shopping spree. You fill my cup!

So with one click you can be on your way to soak in some more inspiration showcasing more "Sending Handmade Love" creations using supplies from any of the current catalogs from the rest of the group.  Your next stop on the hop will be with our very creative, Dena Rekow.  I know her creation will be fabulous...she always shares a gorgeous creation (or two) to share with everyone. Click on the 'Next' button and you'll be at your next stop.  Have fun filling your inspiration bucket...don't forget to come back real soon.  :)

Stamping Around The World — Ornate Garden Special Thank You

AroundTheWorld-CountryBlogHop-Header

Good morning, my crafty friends!  If you've been traveling along the Stamping Around The World Blog Hop; or, if this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me Lori Mueller, Stampin' Dreams. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog...you definitely want to make sure you see all of the amazing creations shared by the design team.

You are probably thinking I'm infatuated with the new Ornate Garden Suite that has been released prior to the new Annual catalog going live in June, huh?  Okay, I admit it!  Yessss, I'm in love with the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series paper because it speaks to me in volumes for everything vintage.  The colors of Terracotta Tile, Old Olive, and the neutral Soft Suede are a subtle combination of beauty.

SATWHop-OrnateGardenGratefulDaisiesHand-Lori-DSC01350

The Ornate Layers Dies are bundled with the Ornate Style stamp set (for a savings of 10%), but the dies are so elegant that you can use them with any stamp set or dies.  These are a definite requirement on your next order.  The daisy is part of the Ornate Style stamp set and was stamped onto the rectangle stitched die from the Ornate Layers dies.

SATWHop-OrnateGardenGratefulDaisies-CloseFlat-Lori-DSC01343

The die cut for the daisies is much longer than what you see on the card...original die is the same length as the sentiment.  I shortened it by lining up the first cut with the 'teeth' of the die and ran it through my die-cutting machine just to cut off the end.  TIP: do not run the die all the way through the machine...just enough to feel the bump of the cut, then back out to see the new finished edge.

SATWHop-OrnateGardenGratefulDaisiesRT-Lori-DSC01337

This suite has a bundle of two ribbon spools...one in Old Olive and the other in Terracotta Tile...a nice soft, satin texture that is easy to work with.  I chose the large, bold sentiment from Ornate Thanks stamp set, but toned it down by clear heat embossing the Terracotta Tile ink color on Vellum cardstock that was die cut with the same rectangle stitched die used for each daisy image.

OrnateGardenTriangleBox-ThumbnailMarked-Lori-DSC01249

Here's a sneak peek of my project included in the April Stamping Around The World Tutorial Bundle.  It was my inspiration when designing my card.  I love all of the floral patterns included with this designer paper; and the big bold sentiments speak volumes...I'm SO grateful!

Would you like to create this lovely card for someone you are grateful to?   I've listed all of the supplies I used at the bottom of this post; and, it's all set up super easy for you to click on any of the images and add to your shopping cart in my online store.  I would be so very grateful to you and your support for shopping with me.  For more beautiful inspiration, you'll want to make sure you hop on over to the next Stamping Around The World members' blogs to see all of the amazing creations they have to share.  Thank you so much for stopping by....stop back again real soon.

OSAT Blog Hop — Celebrate Ornate Style

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Welcome to the April One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop.

OSATBlogHop-2018Header

This month's theme is "Celebrate" any milestone, whether it be anniversary, birthday, retirement, etc.  Ever since the early released Ornate Garden Suite of products came out (April 1st), I've been stamping up a storm using the Ornate Thanks stamp set.  Well, today, I decided it was time to give some love to the other bundle of products in this suite called Ornate Style.  Oh, boy!  The large floral bouquet is perfect for this Congratulations (on your retirement) card I created for one of my husband's customers.

OSATHop-OrnateStyleCongratsFlat-Lori-DSC01314

I started out with a Gorgeous Grape card base because it looks so darned elegant with the lovely Gold Foil/Old Olive pattern found in the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer paper pack.  The scalloped edging was done with one of the Ornate Layers Dies–LOVE!

OSATHop-OrnateStyleCongratsClose-Lori-DSC01313

With Spring in the air, I thought it would be fun to do a little bit of a technique that I haven't done in a while — Emboss Resist Watercoloring.  I inked up the large floral bouquet with VersaMark and stamped onto the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, pour Clear Embossing Powder over inked area and set with the Heat ToolTIP:  Use the lower setting to avoid overheating the embossing powder.  The watercolor paper will quickly soak in the embossing powder and not leave the intended raised texture. Once cooled, use the Stampin' Spritzer to shed a heavy mist of water over the embossed area leaving little puddles within the image areas.  To add color, pick up ink from your ink pad lid with the Aqua Painter and lightly touch the pools of water you wish to add color.  When you touch the water with ink, you'll see it quickly spread within the boundaries of the heat embossed area.  Make sure to let the whole image dry naturally...do not use the heat tool to process a quick dry.

OSATHop-OrnateStyleCongratsRT-Lori-DSC01308

Add your floral bouquet to a layer of Grapefruit Grove, wrap some Ornate Garden Old Olive ribbon around and tie into a knot.  The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and was die cut using the stitched rectangle found in the Ornate Layers Dies set.  What a gorgeous, Victorian bouquet — one that renders lots of coloring options, but there's something  to be said about watercoloring.  I hope you'll give it a try.

Stamp It Blog Hop — Best Dressed Easter Eggs

Hello stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you are here.  Welcome to our March Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop and not miss a beat.

No photo description available.

In just a couple short weeks, we will be celebrating Easter, which is our creative theme this month!  YUM!  I'm sooo looking forward to a full feast of homemade foods made from several favorite family recipes.  One favorite 'appetizer' that gets gobbled up fast are deviled eggs.  We never seem to make enough...always the first to be devoured!

StampItHop-BestDressedEasterFront-Lori-DSC01258
This card is a make up of leftover pieces on my counter.  To start, the cardbase is a non-traditional size — 3-7/8" x 11, scored at 5-1/2".  To level things out, I added a piece of Highland Heather cardstock measuring 4-1/4" x 4".  I chose to feature the Best Dressed Designer Series paper pack and focus on the subtle spring patterns found in this pack.  The papers are 6" x 6", which tend to include several patterns with smaller designs, and are not all with flowers and make-up images, which is what I was looking for to help with my make-shift Easter eggs.

StampItHop-BestDressedEasterEggs-Lori-DSC01269

After scouring our catalogs to help me to produce 'easter eggs', I pulled out my trusty Balloon Bouquet punch.  Just cut off the balloon tail, flip them upside down and VOILA—my eggs have been hatched!  **squeal**!!  The short grasses were made using a die found in the Golf Club Dies set with Granny Apple Green cardstock.  The sentiment came from the Timeless Tulips stamp set and was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder onto Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
