PPX Crew Blog Hop — November Gifts Galore Alternate Treat Package

PPXCrew-BlogHop-Header

Hello my stamping friends!  Welcome to another series of our PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop!  I'm very happy you have stopped by because our Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are collaborating to create alternate projects using the supplies (plus, additional supplies) that come with our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  Each month, my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and members of my Stampin' Up! family of demonstrators receive exclusive tutorials to beautiful alternate projects created by our PPX Crew.  Well, now we are creating a 2nd alternate project that is being shared with everyone!

This month's blog hop features the super cute Gifts Galore (November 2021) kit.  'Tis the season for gift giving, so my project features our Acetate Card Boxes that are not just for filling with handmade cards.  They're perfect for filling with a mix of chocolates, too.  I have used all of the supplies that came with my kit, so I'm going to give several images from the stamp set lots of inky love.

PPXHop-Nov Gifts Galore Nugget Box Left-Stampin Dreams-Lori Mueller-IMG_1761

My list of treat packages needed is quite long...lots of teachers, co-workers and Stampin' Up! family members to create something special for.  I really love the color palette that is part of the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series paper—Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand make it easy to create gifts for any gender.

PPXHop-Nov Gifts Galore Nugget Box Open-Stampin Dreams-Lori Mueller-IMG_1766
To get the most treat packages with one package of Acetate Card Boxes, I cut them in half and created a new topper for the open end.  The other end of the box will be secured with the tabs and flap enclosure.  Instead of leaving the Evening Evergreen topper all straight and proper, I fancied up the front flap using the scalloped Basic Border Dies.  I then matched it up with the same die cut with a pretty pattern of designer paper.  Fill it with some designer paper wrapped Hershey Nuggets...and, a fun gift card to boot!

PPXHop-Nov Gifts Galore Nugget Box Back-Stampin Dreams-Lori Mueller-IMG_1765

The Evening Evergreen layer is adhered to the inside of the Acetate Box, so I added a piece of Designer Series Paper to the outside back of the box using Tear & Tape.  This is to hide the adhesive used to hold the Evening Evergreen piece to the inside of the box.

PPXHop-Nov Gifts Galore Nugget Box FlatRT-Stampin Dreams-Lori Mueller-IMG_1763
To hold all the goodies in the box, wrap some Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon around the flap area and tie in a know.  Stamp the gift image with Cherry Cobbler and Soft Succulent ink, fussy cut and adhere to the front with Dimensionals.  I did ink the ribbon image in the same coordinating colors as the gift package image, fussy cut them and adhered to the top of each gift.  The sentiment was inked with Evening Evergreen, fussy cut and added to the gift arrangement using a mix of Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next PPX Crew designers blog.  You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun, cute and exciting to share with you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!

PPX Crew Blog Hop — October Peaceful Christmas Alternate Holiday Cheer

PPXCrew-BlogHop-Header

Hello my stamping friends!  Welcome to another series of our PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop!  I'm very happy for your visit here.  Our Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! 1021_PP_TOOLKIT_STAMPARTWORK

This month's blog hop features the beautiful Peaceful Christmas (October 2021) kit.  My project features a fun-fold technique called the Stair-step fold, which was inspired by some of the leftover element pieces I had saved away in the kit.  I'm also using a couple of stamp images from the set that were not used as part of the original card designs.

PPXHop-Oct Peaceful Christmas Step Card RT-Stampin Dreams-Lori Mueller-DSC05031

Even though there were Shaded Spruce card bases included in the kit, I chose to use regular Shaded Spruce cardstock as I needed a base that was not pre-scored.  The Buffalo Check paper were leftover strips that I matted with Silver Foil Paper.  To highlight the card front, I cut one half of the Basic Gray festive cardbases down to 3-1/4 x 4 and matted with Silver Foil paper.  To compliment the card front, I cut the Basic Gray woodgrain element in half and layered on the 'front step' of the card.

PPXHop-Oct Peaceful Christmas Step Card Open-Stampin Dreams-Lori Mueller-DSC05035

To create the Stair-step feature of your card, the Shaded Spruce cardbase is cut 1-inch inside of each long end starting at the 1-inch mark from one short end through to the 5-1/4" mark.  Then, take your scoring tool on your trimmer and score at 1", 2", 4-1/4" and 5-1/4".  The only section that is scored at the 4-1/4" mark is the section in the middle (do not score on the 1" side strips at 4-1/4".   The other score lines should only fall on the 1" strip on each long end side.  Score and burnish the folds to create a 'stair step' effect.  I inked the row of evergreen trees with Shaded Spruce ink (included with kit), stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock (3-1/4 x 4), and set in place to finish the inside of the card.

PPXHop-Oct Peaceful Christmas Step Card LT-Stampin Dreams-Lori Mueller-DSC05033

I used the Fancy Label Punch for the Peaceful Christmas sentiment, which was very similar to size and shape of the sentiment tags that were included with the kit.  The red banner element was adhered to the back of the sentiment tag and added to the card front using Dimensionals.  The final dressing of the card includes a glittering Enamel Gem and a little bow made from the Real Red Baker's Twine—both included in the kit.

Stampin' Dreams Shopping Product List

Poinsettia Petals Acetate Gift Box

Hello my stamping friends!

Only 12 days to Christmas Eve!  How are you coming along with your shopping and handmade gift-giving projects?  I've been having some fun playing with the wonderful Poinsettia Place Suite of products (August-December 2020 Mini catalog) to create several different kinds of treat & gift packaging.  The Poinsettia Petals stamp set and coordinating Poinsettia Dies is a fabulous bundle.

Poinsettia Petals 3x3 Gift Box-2- Lori Stampin Dreams-DSC03673
Another product I hadn't sampled my creative ideas with, yet, are the 3-1/8" x 3-1/2" Acetate Boxes.  These are perfect for filling and giving to your office staff, neighbors, dear friends, and stocking stuffers.

Poinsettia Petals 3x3 Acetate Gift Box Inside - Lori Stampin Dreams-DSC03678

The Poinsettia Place Designer Series paper is absolutely stunning.  I created a belly band for the box measuring 3" x 8-1/2".  It's fun to see one pattern on the outside of the box, but when you open it to remove the contents, you get a taste of the another pretty pattern.

Poinsettia Petals 3x3 Acetate Gift Box 2nd - Lori Stampin Dreams-DSC03674

This particular Poinsettia was die cut from one of the designer papers.  Yeppers!  There is a die from the Poinsettia dies that aligns with one of the pattern papers.  I love it when that happens!  All of the other stamped images—leaves and holly berries—also have coordinating dies.  That Read Red 3/8" Sheer Ribbon is lovely to work with and is the right embellishment to compliment the Holly Berries.  The sentiment was inked with Versa Mark and heat set with White Embossing Powder.

Poinsettia Petals 3x3 Acetate Gift Boxes Label - Lori Stampin Dreams -DSC03676

These Acetate Boxes are the perfect size to house a 3" x 3" sticky note pad and a large York Peppermint Patty.  You could stuff a set of knit gloves, several Ghirardelli Chocolates, Kind Bars, a set of stamped 3" x 3" notecards with envelopes, or any other trinkets you have in mind.

Want to know how this fabulous Poinsettia Acetate Gift & Card Box came together?  Here's my Facebook Live demonstration I did sharing tips and tricks on how it all went together.

Stamp It Blog Hop — Wonder of the Season Memories & More Christmas

Hello stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you have stopped by.  Welcome to our end of November Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop and not miss all of the great inspiration.

NovHop-TeamStampIt

Ready or not, this month's hop theme is all about the Christmas Holiday!  I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that there are only 25 days to work on my Christmas cards.  I'm dragging my feet, but I've found a super simple AND cute system to help me get them done and out in the mail in no time at all.

StampItHop-Wonder of the Season Christmas Shaker-Lori-DSC03580
I love the Wonder of the Season Suite of products, but the Memories & More card pack  and the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes found in the August-December 2020 Mini catalog (page 31) are the prime target to help me create Christmas cards in record time.  The card pack comes with 48 pre-designed and printed cards in two sizes:  3" x 4" and 4" x 6".  Plus, there are some specialty cards, several sheets of stickers, and coordinating designer envelopes, too!  This particular pack includes multiples of the same pre-printed designs, which makes it nice for you to create small batches of the same card design.

StampItHop-Wonder of the Season Christmas Shaker Flat-Lori-DSC03566

Who doesn't love a good shaker card?  No one!  I trimmed the 4" x 6" Memories & More card by a 1/4" on each end to help spotlight the focal image with the Stitched Rectangles frame die cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock.  Because the 'greens' were pretty dominant, it needed some Real Red balance, so I added a strip of one of the foil cards to each end.

StampItHop-Wonder of the Season Christmas Shaker Joy-Lori-DSC03579

The Foam Adhesive Strips are the perfect width for the Shaded Spruce frame to build the shaker portion with a Window Sheet.  I was inspired to use the Sequins For Everything pack because of the groups of colored sequins are Green and Red.  A couple good pinches of each color were set in the middle of the focal image before adhering the shaker frame in place.  The "Joy" banner is one of the stickers that is part of the card pack...no additional adhesive needed to stick directly to the window sheet.

Creative Inking Blog Hop — A Quite Curvy Christmas Wreath

Hello stampers and crafty friends!  It's that time of year where we start planning for the biggest holiday of the year...Christmas!  Our amazing Creative Inking designers have a bundle of inspirational projects themed as "Christmas Cards".  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the very talented Susan Campfields' blog. Please be sure to click the 'Next' button (found below) to move along the Creative Inking blog hop to see all the beautiful projects.

CreativeInking-HeaderImage

I've been aching to get my Curvy Christmas stamps inky and the bow branch image was the top of my list to use.

CreativeInkingHop-CurvyChristmasWreath-Lori-DSC03491

In the back of my head, I remembered a card I designed for a past stamp class using an evergreen-type image.  So, I used that as my inspiration for today's card share.  I love to create non-traditional sized cards, and it's been a while since I've shown off a square card.  This one is 4-1/4" square and will fit perfectly into Stampin' Up!'s A2 sized envelopes.  The colors of Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler, and Shaded Spruce originate from the Classic Christmas Designer Series paper pack (also part of the Curvy Celebrations Suite).

CreativeInkingHop-CurvyChristmasWreathClose-Lori-DSC03496

I used my trusty Stamparatus to help create the perfectly aligned Shaded Spruce wreath.  Once you get the rotation pattern set, this will be a cinch to mass produce.  The Cherry Cobbler sprig die cuts were made with a die from the Curvy Dies.  This layout was calling for a dainty, yet rustic accessory, so I took some Linen Thread and unwound the fibers before tucking behind the Champagne Foil Layering Scallop Circle die cut.

CreativeInkingHop-CurvyChristmasWreathLeft-Lori-DSC03494

The sentiment was inked with Cherry Cobbler, stamped onto a strip of Whisper White and hand cut to form the wavy feature of the sentiment.  There needed to be some berries or 'ornaments' adorning the wreath, so I colored our Basic Pearls using the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends and then scattered them throughout.  Simply lovely!

Want to know how this card came together?  Here's my Facebook Live demonstration I did today sharing tips and tricks on how it all went together.

If you enjoyed this project, I'd love to have you join me each Sunday afternoon at 2:30P (CST) for my Sunday Stampin' Dreams facebook Live demonstrations.  To make sure you receive notifications when I post announcements, events, and creations using all my favorite Stampin' Up! products, click the "Like" and "Follow"buttons on my business page Lori Dreams Stampin'.

Stamp It Blog Hop — Itty Bitty Christmas in July

Hello stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you are here.  Welcome to our July Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop and not miss a beat.

July2018-TeamStampIt-Header

This month's hop theme is Christmas in July.  Who wouldn't want a tad bit cooler weather; although, my body handles the heat a whole lot better than the frigid cold temps!

StampItHop-IttyBittyChristmasJuly-2Flat-Lori-DSC02508
These two little gems start off adorning the smaller cardbase and envelopes in the Assorted Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack.  They measure 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" when folded and make the cutest little notecards.

StampItHop-IttyBittyChristmasJuly-GoldFrame-Lori-DSC02517

The patterned paper comes from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper pack featuring almost all of the green tones available in the Stampin' Up! color families.  I chose to use Pretty Peacock that was embossed using the Greenery Embossing folder.  I love that there are TWO mini folders in that pack to choose from.  The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and was inked with Just Jade and then die cut using the Ornate Frames.

I'm not sure what the name of this fancy fold card is, but I'm going to call it a vertical "Gate fold".  It is really easy to do.  For this one, I stamped the same sentiment in Just Jade, but punched it out using the Story Label Punch...showcasing the versatility of using the same layout, papers and accessories.

The fun thing about this style of card is that you can write a short note or stamp a sentiment in this section before writing a traditional or lengthy message on the inside.

Creative Inking Blog Hop — Tis The Season for Wrapped In Plaid Home Decor

Hello stampers and crafty friends!  Welcome-welcome to another episode of our Creative Inking Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the very talented Colleen Vassos' blog. Please be sure to click the 'Next' button (found below) to move along the Creative Inking blog hop to see all the wonderful creations.

Even though Christmas is next week, there is still plenty of time to craft up a special gift piece for that special loved one.  OR, you can keep it for yourself...whichever, your little heart desires. Teehehe The Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series paper speaks an elegant 'country chic' to me, so I thought I'd tie it together with the much loved Perfectly Plaid bundle found in the Holiday catalog (page 13-14) to re-purpose a wooden frame that I found in the Clearance Rack at a local store.  The inside platform measures 8-1/2" wide by 6-3/4" tall (measurements exclude the wooden frame).

PerfectlyPlaid-WoodFrameFront-Lori-DSC00711

This home decor piece would probably be labeled as a 'sampler' simply because it showcases a variety of dies, punches and techniques all on one platform.  I broke it up into 3 different panels, with the middle one designated as the focal image and complimented with 2 side panels.

PerfectlyPlaid-WoodenFrameStockings-LoriDSC00714

One of the patterns in the Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series paper pack has a variety of stockings that (in my mind) called for some fussy cutting.  With each stocking, the matted cardstock layer compliments one of the colors in the stocking.  The Gold Foil paper layer gave them a richer flavor for the line-up.  Super cute, right?!!!

PerfectlyPlaid-WoodenFrameSentiment-Lori-DSC00717

Have I told you how much I loooove stitched dies?  YUP!!  The bottom sentiment is originally a one-liner, but it wouldn't fit in the width of this particular panel, so I inked up each word using coordinating ink colors found in the designer paper and created my own sentiment layout.  This technique is called "masking" and is super easy.  Just have to remember to remove the tape before stamping; and clean the image before inking the sentiment with a new color.  Once you have that memorized, you're stamping like a champ!

Now, if you have ever thought about getting more for your money purchasing all of your favorite Stampin' Up! products, I highly recommend that you purchase the Starter Kit and save 20% with each purchase.  There really isn't anything to lose...only lots to gain!  But, until you make that leap to join my Stampin' Up! family and fill your starter kit with new January-June Mini and/or Holiday catalog products you'll find the ingredients listed below, and I've set it up super easy for you to click on any of the images and add to your shopping cart in my online store.  I would be so very grateful to you and your support for shopping with me.  Check out my Dreamers Loyalty Reward Program...I love what I do and very much appreciation YOU.  So, I pay it back and reward my loyal customers with a FREE shopping spree. You fill my cup!

So with one click you can be on your way to soak in some more inspiration showcasing more "Tis The Season" creations using supplies from the Holiday catalog from the rest of the group.  Your next stop on the hop will be with our very creative, Dena Rekow.  I know her creation will be fabulous...she always shares a gorgeous creation (or two) to share with everyone. Click on the 'Next' button and you'll be at your next stop.  Have fun filling your inspiration bucket...don't forget to come back real soon.  :)

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop — Winter Gifts Holiday Banner

Hello Stampers and Papercrafters! and, welcome to our monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!!   My name is Lori Mueller and I'm part of a team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world that have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the November Paper Pumpkin kit.PPHop-HeaderGraphicThis month's kit (Winter Gifts) is filled with supplies to create 20 oversized gift tags (5 each of 4 different designs.  And, boy, are they super cute!

Every month, the kits include enough supplies to create the designed projects. And, that is what I primarily focus on using when creating my alternate project to share with you.  With the exception of not adding the ribbon tails to each tag, I followed the instructions to create the tags.

PPHop-WinterGiftsTagBanner-Lori-DSC00684

To make them into a banner, I popped each tag up on an Early Espresso Nested Stitched die.  I used the largest die in the set.  I loved the designed tags in the kit that I thought it would be super easy to create this adorable banner that can be hung from an office door, adorning the front of a desk, or added to any wall as festive decoration.

PPHop-WinterGiftsTagsBanner-MerryXmas-Lori-DSC00685

When coordinating home decor, it is a pretty strong rule that you really need the arrangement done up with an odd number.  Since there were only 4 different tag designs, I had to come up with a 5th banner pennant.  So, I 'borrowed' the sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and stamped it with Poppy Parade ink onto a Whisper White die cut from the Roses Dies (part of the Christmastime Is Here suite).  The patterned paper is from the Wrapped in Plaid designer series paper pack.  It coordinates perfectly with the kits color scheme – Shaded Spruce.

To get more inspiration for alternative ideas creating with the November Paper Pumpkin kit, make sure you visit the other A Paper Pumpkin Thing Group members' blogs to see what projects they have created to share with you.  I'll be on your heals to soak in the new ideas and inspiration.

NovHop-TeamStampIt

The bitter cold temps have come back again in Nebraska, which means the snow will start flying soon, too.  I am sooo not ready for winter to arrive!  Our theme this month is all about the Christmas holiday and different traditions that everyone celebrates.

StampItHop-CupOfCheerHotChocoPocket-Lori-DSC00672

The Cup of Christmas stamp set and coordinating Cup Of Cheer Dies has been calling my name for several weeks.  So, with the cold weather, comes a nice cup of hot chocolate after a long day at work.  YUM!  This hot chocolate pocket was super easy to put together; and displays this fun winter pattern from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  I love it when sentiments are set up to allow me to use my Stampin' Write Markers to add more than one color.  Using coordinating colors from the designer paper (Real Red and Shaded Spruce), it just really makes the project look more detailed without any added effort.  YAY!
