SENDING GOOD THOUGHTS

This month's blog hop sets sail across the ocean with the Sending Good Thoughts (July 2022) Paper Pumpkin kit.  With beautifully designed nautical imagery, a fun message in a bottle motif, and sentiments that are “shore” to please, this month’s kit is full of warmth and fun.

I chose Pacific Point as my cardbase and background layer that was die cut with the Dots & Spots Die.  The main focal panel is a fun reflection of a ship at sea.  I thought the Silver & Gold Designer Series paper was a nice subtle pattern that is adhered to a piece of Vellum cardstock.  Wrap the Linen Thread around that Vellum/Silver & Gold DSP twice and finish with a bow.  Then add it to the cardfront using Dimensionals. 

The ship was inked with Basic Gray and heat embossed with Clear Emboss Powder onto a Layering Diorama die cut.  Then add it to the card with Dimensionals.  The sentiment was inked with Bermuda Bay, as well as, the scroll image.  I hand cut out the scroll and added to the Layering Diorama with Liquid Glue.

PICK OF THE CROP

This month's blog hop features the refreshing hints of summer Pick Of The Crop (June 2022) kit.  This kit was filled with so many elements of summer that one would see, taste and smell during a morning stroll through your local Farmers Market.  Even reminded me of my trip to Italy a couple years ago...so fun!

I love that the coordinating colors are noted on the back of the instruction panel that comes with each kit.  I had a good number of colors to choose from, but I went with one of my favorites—Soft Succulent for my cardbase.  The main focal panel is taken from one of the cardbases that came with the kit that I cut to make a vertical gate fold.  I started with a 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 card base that is scored at 2-3/4 and 8-1/4 along the long edge.

The original card base front was cut from the back at 4-1/4—saving the back for another project.  Then trim on all sides by 1/16" to give an even 1/4" trim.  Take the front panel and cut at 2-5/8 from the bottom.  To divide the trimmed card panel, cut at 2-5/8 from the bottom and adhere to each the top and bottom sections of the gatefold sections of the new cardbase.  Add the strawberry/blueberry die cut to the bottom section with Dimensionals forming the overlap of the gatefold.

Ink the sentiment with Calypso Coral and stamp onto one of the picket die cuts.  Add it to a set of berries and adhere everything to the card front with Dimensionals.  For a little country touch, tie some Linen Thread around the stake and tie into a bow.  Here's a close-up of the texture, colors and dimension.  Oh-so pretty! This month's blog hop features the new color palette Celebrating In Colors (May 2022) kit.  I'm super excited about this kit because everyone gets to play with the new 2022-2024 In Colors!  They are a wonderful selection of colors...bold, bright and oh-so cheery!

I started with a Basic White Thick card base that showcases all FIVE In Colors on one card.  There is a mix of cardstock, ink and embellishments on each.  The piece that is a diagonal cut with rounded corner is actually the flap from each of the envelopes that are included in the kit.  I trimmed off the glue part of the flap, added it to a piece of cardstock and die cut using the Deckled Rectangles Dies.  Each die cut shows off a different Embossing Folder before it was adhered to a piece of Vellum cardstock cut at 4-1/8 x 5-3/8.  The texture is the Gingham Embossing Folder, then the whole set of layers was adhered to the card front.  The "HAPPY" sentiment is one of the images in the kit.  This one is inked with Orchid Oasis onto a strip of Basic White cardstock and added to the card front with Dimensionals.  Before I did that, I wrapped some Tahitian Tide Baker's Twine on one end and tied into a bow.  The 2nd sentiment is heat embossed with White onto a strip of Sweet Sorbet and set into place with Dimensionals.  The final touch is the In Color Enamel Dots that coordinate with the Baker's Twine.

The Tahitian Tide Envelope Flap & Sweet Sorbet cardstock was embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  The HAPPY sentiment is inked with Parakeet Party; 2nd sentiment heat embossed onto Starry Sky; and Orchid Oasis Baker's Twine and Enamel Dot.

The Orchid Oasis Envelope Flap & Parakeet Party cardstock was embossed with the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder.  The HAPPY sentiment is inked with Starry Sky; 2nd sentiment heat embossed onto Tahitian Tide; and Sweet Sorbet Baker's Twine and Enamel Dot.

The Starry Sky Envelope Flap & Tahitian Tide cardstock was embossed with the Cascading Ruffles 3D Embossing Folder.  The HAPPY sentiment is inked with Sweet Sorbet; 2nd sentiment heat embossed onto Orchid Oasis; and Parakeet Party Baker's Twine and Enamel Dot.

The Sweet Sorbet Envelope Flap & Orchid Oasis cardstock was embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  The HAPPY sentiment is inked with Tahitian; 2nd sentiment heat embossed onto Parakeet Party; and Starry Sky Baker's Twine and Enamel Dot.

Hello Friends!!  Welcome to my blog share as a member of the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are excited to share our creative paper crafting ideas with you. Today, we have a variety of occasions that we are featuring…a sure way to fill your inspiration bucket.  I'm highlighting the Slim Sayings Bundle found in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog along with the In Good Taste 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper that is retiring from the Annual catalog.

High School graduations are just around the corner!! My favorite part creating a card for the graduate is to use their school colors…always makes it extra special! The background is a subtle piece of In Good Taste Designer Paper that has a bit of natural hue to it that makes this card earthy and vintage. I matted it with Merry Merlot cardstock and added to the Basic White Thick card base (measures 4-1/4 x 11))

You May be pondering on the Chevron die and wondering ’hey, I thought that die was longer than that’! You are correct!! I love when some dies have the allowance to lengthen or shorten to fit a particular creation. The Misty Moonlight strips were popped up with Dimensionals…I love dimension! The sentiment was inked with Misty Moonlight and Merry Merlot markers, stamped onto Basic White and die cut with Layering Circles Dies.  I think this graduate is going to keep this gem for a long time!

This month's blog hop features the nature-inspired Beyond The Horizons (March 2022) kit.  This time of year is always an extra special kit because we are celebrating Paper Pumpkin's birthday!  TOOT-TOOT!

Not only do we get a special patterned souvenir box that all of our supplies come in, but this year we received a 2nd stamp set!!  This one coordinates with the New Horizons Suite Collection available in the January-June 2022 Mini catalog.  Love it when something like this happens...more bang for my buck!

This months kit came with amazing envelopes that are patterned on the outside and a different pattern on the inside.  Since the primary neutral color is Basic White, I decided to cut up one of the envelopes and use it as designer series paper.  The Pale Papaya is the larger piece that is matted with Old Olive cardstock; and the inside was the Old Olive skinny later.  Both layers are adhered to an Evening Evergreen card base (4-1/2 x 11, scored at 5-1/2).  Before planting the larger layer, I wrapped some of the beautiful Pale Papaya Grosgrain Ribbon that came with the kit and tied into a bow.

The flower image is set up as a 2-step stamping technique.  The solid piece was stamped once, and the outlined image was inked and stamped twice to show contrast between the two images.  I hand cut the flower, as well as, the Old Olive leaves that are tucked behind.  I popped this floral arrangement with dimensionals and set onto a Stitched So Sweetly Basic White die cut.  The sentiment layer mimics one of the punch out pieces with the kit...Basic White that was punched on each edge using the Banners Pick A Punch.

Finish the card by adding the Stitched So Sweetly focal arrangement to the card front with Dimensionals.  Now looking at the pictures of my card, I realized that I forgot to sprinkle some of the Iridescent Rhinestones that came with the kit on the card.  GEESH!  I'll be fixing that as soon as I finish typing this post.

Hello Friends!!  Welcome to my blog share as a member of the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are excited to share our creative paper crafting ideas with you. Today we are each focusing on inspiration found in the Annual catalog and CASEing it using new stamps, paper and tools that are available in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog. I'm highlighting the Boughs & Blossoms Bundle along with the Flowering Fields 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.

It didn't take me long to decide to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) this card featuring the Timeless Tropical Bundle on page 21 in the Annual catalog.

My inspiration to feature the Boughs & Blossoms Bundle was based on the two individual flowers and leaves arrangement.  Super quick and easy to recreate!

I love to include a bit of texture and dimension in each of my projects!  So, you could sort of say that I enhanced on the card I CASE'd by adding an additional layer of Poppy Parade cardstock that was embossed using the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folder.  Since it's a mini folder, I did have to run it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine twice.  The flowers were inked with Petal Pink and hand cut with my Paper Snips.  Before adding them to the card front with dimensionals, I threw in a large bow made with the Basic Black Backer's Twine.  This was to compliment the sentiment that was heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder onto a Pool Party strip.  My color palette were selected colors that coordinate with the Flowering Fields 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper pack.  So pretty!

Hello my stamping friends!  Welcome to another series of our PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop!  I'm very happy you have stopped by because our Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are collaborating to create alternate projects using the supplies (plus, additional supplies) that come with our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  Each month, my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and members of my Stampin' Up! family of demonstrators (Lori's Dream Team) receive exclusive tutorials to beautiful alternate projects created by our PPX Crew.  Now we are creating a 2nd alternate project that is being shared with everyone!

This month's blog hop features the love-filled Kisses & Hugs (January 2022) kit.  Not very often do I think to use up any of the leftover negative pieces from punched images, they usually get tossed in the recycle bin, but this time the scraps were speaking quite clearly to me.  After all of the bi-fold heart cards were made, there were still goodies left behind to create a fun shaker card!

The background is the largest Scalloped Contour Die cut from Blushing Bride with a layer of Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.  I threaded the Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon through the loops, tied into a bow and added to the Crumb Cake cardbase with Liquid Glue.

There was no way I was tossing the negative left behind from the Blushing Bride heart frame!  I adhered a piece of Vellum to the back of the leftover heart and hand cut it out with Paper Snips.  This way I only had to cut the heart once versus twice.  I arranged the two stamp images — X and O — on a clear block to ink with Versa Mark and heat emboss with Gold.  To create the shaker component, I traced the Vellum framed heart onto Basic White cardstock and hand cut with Snips.  The From My Heart Faceted Gems are a perfect color match to the rest of the card — right down to the splash of Gold — and make a good shake-shake-shake noise that will be fun for the recipient to enjoy. 

Finish the card with the word sentiments inked with Real Red onto a strip of Basic White, snipped to size and added to the card front with Stampin' dimensionals.

Good morning stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you have stopped by.  Welcome to our January Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop, I know you're not going to want to miss any of the great inspiration that we have in store for you.

Today's creation has been one roaming around in my dreams for days and I'm happy to say that it's time for fruition!  I was inspired from two different sources that was molded into one… a card pictured in a retired Mini Catalog and the lovely Sweet Talk Designer Series paper that is part of the Sweet Talk Suite of products in the new 2022 January-June Mini catalog.

Creative Tips:

• I'm pairing two patterns from the Sweet Talk designer series paper pack papers — one that sets the background on the Basic White Thick cardbase and the other with the Conversation Hearts images that coordinate with the dies found in the Sweet Hearts Dies.  I love that there were several candy conversation images mixed with the coordinating Blushing Bride, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green colors.  That was my starting point for choosing my color palette for the card.  The bottom half of the Stitched Rectangle die cut is a subtle pattern found in the paper pack, which helped tone down the bolder/busy pattern in the background.

• The candy hearts were die cut using coordinating dies from the Sweet Heart Dies set.  I arranged them in a small bouquet, of sorts, and added with double layers of Mini Glue Dots instead of Stampin' Dimensionals.  I love dimension, but didn't want the hearts boldly standing away from the Stitched Rectangle pattern as a regular Dimensional would do.

• To help with the 'eye candy', I  used the set of 4-hearts die to create the Granny Apple Green strip of cardstock and aligned it with the angle cut of the Sweet Talk designer paper.  For a finishing touch, I accented this piece by wrapping the Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding below the hearts die strip and tied into a bow.  The Stitched Rectangle panel was set in place with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The Sweet Conversations sentiment was inked with Highland Heather, stamped onto a strip of Basic White cardstock and accented on each end with Highland Heather banner die cuts that is part of the Sweet Hearts Dies.  The sentiment strip was added to the card front with Dimensionals to deem the card creation complete.

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Trip Achievers Blog Hop for November. The theme for the hop is anything currently offered in our catalogs and we are all excited to share some beautifully handcrafted projects with you!

If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.  I was inspired to create my card share from two different sources… a card pictured in the Mini Catalog (Page 54) and a non-Stampin’ Up’ card makers blog.

Creative Tips:

• I am using a mix of Stampin' Up!'s new papers listed with the Harvest Meadow Suite.  The Fall season is my utmost favorite season and the Harvest Meadow designer papers really hit the mark with a lovely combination of colors and patterns. I really love the Cork Specialty paper! I am still in awe how a paper can replicate the actual feel and texture of a sheet real cork!  I threw in a couple layers of Vellum cardstock to soften the patterns; and, die cut all layers with the same rounded Basic Borders Die.

• Bring on the watercolor!!  Instead of using the Harvest Dies to die cut straight from cardstock or designer paper, I decided to watercolor pieces of Basic White cardstock with Cajun Craze, Bumblebee and Soft Succulent ink.

• Once the paper had dried, dies run through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, I used my Soft Suede Stampin' Write marker to splatter ink onto the Fall elements. They were arranged and set in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set, inked with Soft Suede and stamped onto Basic White cardstock. Once die cut with label die from Harvest Dies set, it was added to the card front with Dimensionals.

Hello my stamping friends!  Welcome to another series of our PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop!  I'm very happy for your visit here.  Our Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are collaborating to create alternate projects using the supplies (plus, additional supplies) that come with our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  Each month, my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and members of my Stampin' Up! family of demonstrators receive exclusive tutorials to beautiful alternate projects created by our PPX Crew.  Well, now we are creating a 2nd alternate project that is being shared with everyone!

This month's blog hop features the beautiful Peaceful Christmas (October 2021) kit.  My project features a fun-fold technique called the Stair-step fold, which was inspired by some of the leftover element pieces I had saved away in the kit.  I'm also using a couple of stamp images from the set that were not used as part of the original card designs.

Even though there were Shaded Spruce card bases included in the kit, I chose to use regular Shaded Spruce cardstock as I needed a base that was not pre-scored.  The Buffalo Check paper were leftover strips that I matted with Silver Foil Paper.  To highlight the card front, I cut one half of the Basic Gray festive cardbases down to 3-1/4 x 4 and matted with Silver Foil paper.  To compliment the card front, I cut the Basic Gray woodgrain element in half and layered on the 'front step' of the card.

To create the Stair-step feature of your card, the Shaded Spruce cardbase is cut 1-inch inside of each long end starting at the 1-inch mark from one short end through to the 5-1/4" mark.  Then, take your scoring tool on your trimmer and score at 1", 2", 4-1/4" and 5-1/4".  The only section that is scored at the 4-1/4" mark is the section in the middle (do not score on the 1" side strips at 4-1/4".   The other score lines should only fall on the 1" strip on each long end side.  Score and burnish the folds to create a 'stair step' effect.  I inked the row of evergreen trees with Shaded Spruce ink (included with kit), stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock (3-1/4 x 4), and set in place to finish the inside of the card.

I used the Fancy Label Punch for the Peaceful Christmas sentiment, which was very similar to size and shape of the sentiment tags that were included with the kit.  The red banner element was adhered to the back of the sentiment tag and added to the card front using Dimensionals.  The final dressing of the card includes a glittering Enamel Gem and a little bow made from the Real Red Baker's Twine—both included in the kit.
