Masculine

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop -- Manly Moments

Hello and welcome Stampers and Papercrafters!  It is the last day in May...yikes! but we have a really fun A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop to share with you!!  YAY! A number of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the May monthly kit named "Manly Moments".  I'm super excited to share the projects I created for you....let's get to it, shall we!

PPHop-HeaderPic

Do you struggle creating "Manly" cards?  Yep, I do, too!  Buuut, I'm so excited to see my Paper Pumpkin kit arrive filled with the supplies to create 10 masculine cards ranging from birthday to thank you...and, including nephews and brothers.

9d871d66294fe0a203297c36575a2dd2

Another thing I struggle with is creating clean and simple cards...this entire kit is just that.  But, of course, when I create to showcase an alternative card, I have to kick it up a notch...or two.  :)  I started with a traditional cardstock base of 4-1/4" x 11', but scoring it at 4-1/4" and 8-1/2" is not our typical card style.

PPHop-ManlyMoments-June2018-Lori-DSC06570

I took one of the cardbases from the kit and cut the wood grain and plaid sections off of the card base so that I could use the pieces to decorate and create a really fun pocket card.

PPHop-ManlyMoments-June2018Flat-Lori-DSC06574

The front pocket can house the woodgrain notecard, but there are so many different items you can tuck into pocket cards:  bookmarks, magnets, tags, gift cards, and personalized notes.

Cute Thank You Tag

You are not probably going to believe this, but this little tag is made up of scraps that were laying around my craft counter.  **squeal**  I inked the "thank you" image in Mossy Meadow and stamped first and 2nd renditions onto the scrap stitched shape circle.  The woodgrain strip is from the pocket notecard that I trimmed down.  Super cute, right?!!

I'm really pleased with how these projects came together...clean and simple!  The pocket card can be for any occasion, too...birthday, anniversary, etc.  Gotta love the creations that are designed to accommodate more than one occasion.  :)

To get more inspiration for alternative ideas creating with the May Paper Pumpkin kit, make sure you visit the other A Paper Pumpkin Thing Group members' blogs to see what projects they have created to share with you.  I'll be on your heals to soak in the new ideas and inspiration.

Stamp It Blog Hop -- Country Livin' Father's Day

May2017-TeamStampIt-Header

Hello and welcome stampers and paper crafters!  I'm so happy that you have stopped by and have jumped on board the May Stamp It Bog Hop.  Because we are nearing the end of May and the next special occasion is only a few weeks away, this month's theme is focusing on Father's Day.  YAY!!  I know that masculine cards can be a struggle for most...including myself, but I've had it in my dreams for a while now what special handmade card I was planning to create.  Let's get mozy-ing along!

If you have been traveling along the Stamp It Group Blog Hop, or, if this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

StampItHop-CountryLivinFathersDay-Lori-DSC06525

So, can you believe that I hee-hawed around for almost a year eye-balling this stamp set...Country Livin'?  Every time I saw that set, or a customer or friend would point out this stamp set in the catalog, I always thought of my Dad when I would see the pickup image.  Now, granted I colored this image using a new color, Merry Merlot, but when I was really little, we used to own one of these pickups.  Ours was a really pretty blue.  I didn't watercolor this one blue because I was afraid it might clash with the Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide.

StampItHop-CountryLivinFathersDayFlat-Lori-DSC06533

Do you spy some new papers?  and, perhaps, a new stamp set?  Teehehe!  Well, then, you have a pretty good eye!  I love that I get to preorder certain new products before the whole catalog goes live.  The rest of the patterns found in the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper are just as wonderful, too.  I immediately fell in love with the stamp set "Itty Bitty Greetings" the minute I laid my eyes on it when we got the new catalog during OnStage in April!  **squeal**  I'm sure you will, too!

For more Father's Day themed inspiration, make sure you hop on over to the next Stamp It Group members' blogs to see what projects they have to share.  Thank you so much for stopping by....stop back again real soon.

Stampin' Friends Blog Hop -- No Rules in March

Good morning to everyone!  Welcome to my stop on the Stampin Friends Blog Hop!  I am excited about this months stamping theme...No Rules!!  WHOOPEEEEE!  That's like eating as many sweets as your stomach can consume (without all the added calories, I might add!)  We are given free reign...totally our choice...stamp/craft anything we want!!  I can't tell you how this made my heart go pitter-patter only because these last few weeks I have struggled to find my creative MOJO juice.  If this is your first stop on the Stampin Friends Blog Hop or you arrived here from one of the other Stampin Friends bloggers, I'm excited to share with you.

26170608_10155849036251101_8249645381342459066_o Sooo, with No Rules comes the perfect opportunity to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) someone else's creation.  Or, at least gain inspiration from a card that moves me and incorporate my own tweaking of colors, designer series paper, or stamped images

SFHop-TrulyTailoredDapperDayFront-Lori-DSC06323

First up, is a clean-and-simple greeting card showing off one of the patterns from the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper.  You can choose this 12" x 12" pack free with a $50 product order during Sale-A-Bration...hurry, this most-favored event ends March 31st!

Creative Tips:

  • The inspiration for this creation stems from a sample card pictured in the 2nd Sale-A-Bration release brochure.  I used the same Dapper Denim cardstock and striped pattern from the Springtime Foils Specialty paper, but I changed up the focal arrangement.

SFHop-TrulyTailoredDapperDayFlat-Lori-DSC06327

  • To compliment the Dapper Denim cardbase and add a bit of character, I added a piece of Color Theory Designer Series Paper and banner cut the bottom end.  The sentiment comes from the Truly Tailored stamp set inked with Archival Basic Black ink and stamped onto our Shimmery White cardstock.  LOVE that paper!  You can't see in the picture, but it really compliments the Silver Foil stripes.  Add some Silver Metallic Thread to the Stitched Oval and set into place.

Acetate Gift Box for Dad:  I am so thrilled that the Acetate Gift Boxes from the last Holiday catalog are still available for purchase.  I cut one in half and decorated it with a belly-band using a strip of the striped Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series paper layered onto strips of the Color Theory Designer Series paper.  The focal point is using elements and design to compliment the card.  Filled it with some Sweet Soirée Ready Shreddie available in the Occasions catalog and will tuck some sweets and gift card to make it complete and ready to gift.  Super easy and oh-so adorbs!!

  • DID YOU KNOW? that you can click on any images I include related to the project to see an enlarged version?  Yep!  I do this so that you can see the details of my projects a weeee bit better. As I get older, I'm finding myself pulling out what I call my "granny glasses".  haha

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop -- February 2018 Wildflower Wishes

Hello and welcome Stampers and Papercrafters!  It's March 1st and it's time for another series of A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!!  A number of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the February monthly kit named Wildflower Wishes.  Let's go take a peek at what I created for you.

PPHop-HeaderPic

This month's hop features Spring and blooming flowers...Wildflower Wishes.  Now, if only my wish for Spring to arrive and stay for awhile would come true because I'm tired of the bitter cold weather.  How about you?  I really like that the stamp set includes several sentiments that can be paired up...large and bold with a smaller, fancy cursive font.  Check out the envelopes that are printed with a floral liner....sooo pretty!

PP-Feb2018-WildflowerWishes-Image

I decided to stamp the "Celebrate" sentiment with VersaMark and then clear emboss onto one of the patterned paper choices.

Feb2018-WildflowerWishesShaker-Lori-DSC06284

It's been a while since I had created a shaker card. The large Decorative Label panel is a sticker, so it made it super easy to cut a Window Sheet strip and stick to the back without having to add my own adhesive.

PP-Feb2018-WildflowerWishesShaker-Flat-Lori-DSC06296

This kit featured Garden Green and Sahara Sand, but my creation needed a 3rd color, so I added in a strip of Pool Party for the backing of the shaker portion.  The Metallic Sequins are the perfect touch for a little glam and more color.  The rest of the components came with the kit.

Feb2018-WildflowerWishesShakerLeft-Lori-DSC06287

Coordinating Triangle Chocolate Treat Holder

This little holder is using a strip cut from one of the patterns papers with the kit.  I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to create the little Garden Green flap (matches the large sentiment stickers in the kit...**squeal**)!!  I inked up the sentiment with Garden Green and clear heat embossed onto a strip of Pool Party.  You can't see them, but there are 2 wonderful chocolates wrapped in green foil.  Perfect for this project and so stinkin' adorable!

OSAT Blog Hop -- All About Men

OSATBlogHop-2017Header

Hello, hello, hello stampers and paper crafters!  Welcome to my stop on the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop!  This months theme is often times a difficult one for many crafters...All About Men. This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from Kelly Acheson's blog. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful craftiness, click on the "NEXT" button at the bottom of each post.

OSATHop-AboutMenThisLittlePig-Lori-DSC04979

To create a masculine card, one struggles if they feel they don't own a 'masculine' stamp set.  Or, they don't own 'masculine-type' paper.  I'm going to attempt to help you get past that hurdle using the stamp set "This Little Piggy" and some amazing tools, such as the Layering Squares Framelits and the Hexagon Textured Embossing folder.  Plus, the images in this set are super cute and can create a masculine card for all ages.  Lots of fun!

Creative Tips:

  • The Hexagon Textured Embossing folder has a lot of character and small patterns that can often times pull and stretch the cardstock and cause it to weaken and tear.  To avoid that, lightly mist the cardstock using the Stampin' Spritzer and water.  The damp cardstock will be more pliable and be more forgiving when stretched tightly in so many different directions.
  • It is always fun to include contrasting patterns, such as the 1" strip of Wood Textured Designer Series paper.  Just a little bit is complimentary to the embossed cardstock layer.

OSATHop-AboutMen-ThisLittlePiggyFlat-Lori-DSC04984

  • Bakers Twine is a subtle accessory to dress up a masculine card...and, finishing it with a bow is perfectly okay, too.
  • Throw in a little watercoloring using the Aqua Painter and the ink squished into the lid of your ink pad makes This Little Piggy comes to life with a Smoky Slate body and Powder Pink nose.  Layer 'him' onto the new Tranquil Tide Scalloped Square using Stampin' Dimensionals.  NOTE:  Tranquil Tide is one of the newest In Colors...an awesome, deep and rich 'masculine' color.

DID YOU KNOW? that you can click on any images I include related to the project to see an enlarged version?  Yep!  I do this so that you can see the details of my projects a weeee bit better. As I get older, I'm finding myself pulling out what I call my "granny glasses".  haha

At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to Pam Staples’s blog.  You won't want to miss traveling on as I know that she will have something adorable to share with you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Kelly Acheson's blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Thank you for visiting my share of the Stamp It Blog Hop.  First question of the day...do you struggle to create a card for the men and boys?  Well, if you said 'YES', then you are not alone!  I, and a whole lot of other crafters, battle the same fight.  Sooo, you are in for a crafting treat, because this month's theme is all about creating something masculine.  YEAH!!

If you have been traveling along the Stamp It Group Blog Hop, you may have come here from my sweet friend, Oksana Semenska's blog.  If this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

Second question of the day...how many men do you know that LUV to fish?  Oh my gosh!  I know quite a few, and they are as crazed about their fishing as us crafters are...well...about crafting!  Teehehe  I chose to highlight the Seaside Shore stamp set because I had my nephew in mind.  I'm not sure that he is much of a fisherman, but he is out on a boat serving in the Marines.  Hmmm, I wonder if he is even allowed to throw a lure over the side?

Creative Tips:

  • Following the colors coordinating with the Designer Series Paper, the cardbase is Mint Macaron, the designer paper is matted onto Dapper Denim, and the sentiment is stamped and matted on Dapper Denim cardstock, attached to the Calypso Coral Scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits using dimensionals.

StampItHop-MasculineSeasideShoreFlat-Lori-DSC04938

  • To build on the boat and fishing theme, the Very Vanilla Thick Baker's Twine was tied in a slip knot and slipped behind the panel on both sides.
  • The fish was inked in Calypso Coral and stamped onto scrap Very Vanilla cardstock, cut out and popped up using dimensionals.
  • Using Stampin' Write markers to color in various words or phrases of a sentiment adds the perfect WOW factor.

UPDATE:  The By The Shore Designer Series Paper, Mint Macaron cardstock, and Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine are all retiring at the end of this month...last day is May 31st.  And, everything is while supplies last.  In fact, the By The Shore designer paper must already be sold out as I could not find it, but the other two items I listed are still in stock.  Don't delay....order from my online store today!

Stamp It Blog Hop -- Celebrating Birthdays!!

Stamp-it-birthday-blog-hopFeb2017

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Thank you for visiting my share of the Stamp It Blog Hop. This month's theme is one that everyone can use lots of ideas and inspiration...who doesn't get excited about Birthdays?!!  There are so many ways to celebrate a birthday...with a card, banners, treat boxes, cupcake toppers, party favors...you name it.  Birthday's are so much fun to share with family and friends.

If you have been traveling along the Stamp It Group Blog Hop, you may have come here from team blogger, Rachael Rife's blog.  If this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

StampItHop-HeyChickBirthday-Lori-DSC04604

I have a number of girlfriends that are sassy and spunky; therefore, they are the focus of my Birthday card.  When I got a first peek of the Sale-A-Bration catalog, the "Hey Chick" stamp set was the first one I wanted to put on my order.  It's free with a $50 purchase! If you don't have your copy of this set yet....you need to add those sassy chicks to your arsenal of rubber stamps.  Super CUTE!

Creative Tips:

  • I haven't played with a 'fancy' fold card in a while, so the traditional 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" cardbase has 2" cut off the front panel.
  • The color palette originates from the Carried Away Designer Series Paper pack.  This is another item you can earn for FREE with a $50 product purchase.  There are a ton of colors to work with in this pack....Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, Smoky Slate, Watermelon Wonder, and Whisper White.
  • The Watermelon Wonder cardstock layer showcases the new Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder available in the Occasions catalog (page 47).  I was raised on a farm with lots of chickens that I could not pass up transforming it into a 'chicken wire' appearance.

StampItHop-HeyChickBirthday-Crop-Lori-DSC04609

  • I am so in love with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The Whisper White focal layer is sized 2-1/2" x 3", which does not match any of the stitched framelits.  I used the largest framelit to help me create a stitched impression on all four sides.
  • Did you hear that the Watercolor Pencils are back in stock?  Not for long, though, so you will want to get your set real soon...the second round of stock is estimated to be sold out within the next couple of weeks.  I used Blender Pens to do my coloring with the Watercolor Pencils...everyone needs to try out a Calypso Coral hairdo, right?!!  haha.
  • Even though Valentines Day is here and gone, the Mini Paper Clips found with the Sending Love Suite (Page 15 in the Occasions catalog) came in handy to accent the Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine.

There are several different sassy chicks with sentiments available in the Hey Chick stamp set that I could have used in the lower corner of the card, but this one fit the bill for a birthday celebration.  Don't you just love it when you have the freedom to create how you feel?  LOVE it!

For more Birthday themed inspiration, make sure you visit the other Stamp It Group members' blogs to see what projects they have to share.  Thanks for stopping by....stop back again real soon.

Stamp It Blog Hop -- Sending Love on Valentine's Day

Stamp-it-valentines-day-blog-hop
Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Thank you for visiting today; and Welcome aboard the January Stamp It Blog Hop!  Would you believe that this month's theme is all about Sending Love?!!  Time is flying and Valentine's Day is just around the corner.  There are so many ways to 'send love' to a loved one, but what better way to 'send love' than through the creation of a handmade card, right?!!  Valentine's Day is not just for celebrating with a boyfriend/girlfriend or husband and wife.  I love to 'send love' to my parents and grandma, too.  They are the foundation of my heart and the person I am today, and for that, they deserve lots of sweet, sweet love.  I am really excited to share my project with you because my inspiration came with the thoughts of my Mom and grandma in mind.  Sewing and quilting is just one of the crafts they enjoyed over the years. Let's get to it and run through the card details.

If you have been traveling along the Stamp It Group Blog Hop, you may have come here from team blogger, Kathy Desmarais's blog.  If this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

StampItHop-SendingLove-Lori-DSC04520

Thinking about the many quilts I have received from relatives, I set out to use the new Sending Love Suite of products found on page 14-15 in the new Occasions catalog.  From the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack to the "Sealed with Love" bundle (stamp set and coordinating Love Notes Framelits Dies).  I am in LOVE with it all!

Creative Tips:

  • The Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack offers 48 sheets, 6 sheets each of 8 double-sided designs.  The 'quilt' pieces are 3/4" and spaced evenly on a Whisper White square.  The Layering Squares Framelits dies were amazing assistance to die cut the Whisper White, Real Red Glimmer paper, and the Real Red scalloped layers.  Definitely got my moneys worth out of those dies with this card....set includes 19 dies!
  • The Sending Love Suite of products includes a Real Red and Whisper White Ribbon pack.  Wrap some Real Red grosgrain ribbon around the 'quilted' layer and glue directly to the Real Red Glimmer piece.  NOTE:  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue when adhering something to Glimmer paper.  Due to the roughness/unevenness of the Glimmer paper, Snail and Fast Fuse won't produce long lasting sticky-ness.
  • Add the Glimmer panel to the Real Red scalloped die using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I love to add dimension to my projects and Stampin' Dimensionals are perfect.

StampItHop-SendingLoveFlat-Lori-DSC04525

  • The Sealed with Love stamp set is loaded with 27 different images.  Real Red lips stamped onto the layered heart diecut from the Love Notes Framelits dies set top off the 'sending love' emotion.  Add Clear Wink of Stella to the lips to give the appearance of real lip gloss.  So much FUN!!
  • Stamp the sentiment with Real Red ink directly to the card base.

There are several different sentiments available in the Sealed with Love stamp set that I could have used in the lower corner of the card, but this one really spoke to me during the creating phase.  Don't you just love it when you have the freedom to create how you feel?  LOVE it!

Stamp It Blog Hop for Father's & Dad's Day

TeamStampIt-BlogHeader-May2016

Welcome stampers and crafters to our Stamp It Blog Hop for the month of May.  This is kind of funny...I am currently traveling to attend my niece's high school graduation, but I'm also going to celebrate Mother's Day with my Mom, too.  The funny part....the theme for this month's hop is "Father's Day"!  haha  You know the saying..."hit two birds with one stone"!

I have had sooo much going on with my full-time job (outside of the home), that my creative juices are struggling to make a presence in my stamping studio (aka family kitchen).  ;)  I always enjoy creating a masculine card, but due to the lack of MOJO, I decided to look through the Occasions catalog to see what I could CASE (Copy And Share Everything).  After all, that's what the catalogs are for, right?!!  I knew that I had the Going Global stamp set and coordinating Going Places Designer Series paper pack, so that was half my battle.  I found a project to CASE and even found a way to tweak it a bit.  Let's check it out!

StampItHop-FathersDayMiniTreatPouch-Lori-DSC00047

Soooo, what do you think?!  Pretty good for copying a Stampin' Up! Concept Artists' work, right?

Creative Tips:

  • The little package is die cut from a 'worldly map' patterned design using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die.  Since the Designer Series paper pack is a 6" x 6" size, you'll need 2 sheets to die cut both parts to the treat bag.  NOTE:  the designer paper has a horizontal pattern that I wanted to be consistent all the way around the package, so I made sure to position my dies accordingly when I ran each one through my Big Shot.  You can click on the image to enlarge and get a closer look to see what I am describing.  Very, very easy to align the dies with the pattern.

StampItHop-FathersDay-Lori-DSC00030

  • The focal portion of the package uses two more different patterns from the same designer series paper stack.  I should point out just how much I really love these paper stacks.  You get 48 sheets total....4 each of 12 double-sided designs for $8.00.  The designs are on a smaller scale than what you get with the 12"x12" designer papers, which is the reason I love them so much.  My project is small, so the smaller designs are perfect!
  • The compass was stamped using Sahara Sand ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out with the 2" Circle punch.
  • The sentiment was inked with Archival Basic Black ink onto a strip of Sahara Sand cardstock and die cut using the banner from the Large Numbers Framelits die set.  I set it in place on the compass image using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • I love the contrast of the Hello Honey Striped Cotton Ribbon to connect the Compass and Sentiment to the designer paper banners.  I attached the ribbon ensemble to the banners using a couple strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive....just to make sure that it stays put!
  • Basic Black Bakers Twine was wrapped around the treat package a couple of times and tied in a bow.

StampIt-Father'sDayMiniTreat-Lori-DSC00043

Now, the original creation shown on page 39 in the Occasions catalog has some crumpled filler in the Mini Treat Package.  I decided to make the project into a pocket card.  The base is Basic Black with Very Vanilla and a strip of the Going Places Designer Paper to tie the 2 projects together.  This was such a fun project to create and is much easier than you would believe.  Not that I am wishing time to fly (because I already struggle getting time to slooooow down), but I am really anxious for Father's Day to get here.  Yes, yes, yes....after I celebrate Mom's day on Sunday!

Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop -- One For The Guys!!

GV Blog Header-Mediterranean

Welcome to the Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop for February 2016.  I am SUPER excited for this trip...a once in a lifetime for me and my hubby, and what better way to celebrate our 25th wedding Anniversary than a trip hosted by Stampin' Up!  My airline travel is booked and a few excursions are booked, just need to decide on a couple more things and we are all set!  Only about 80+ days before we head out.  Eeeek!

The theme for the hop this month is "One For The Guys" and we are excited to share some projects using any Stampin' Up! products that demonstrate that 'manly' feel and appearance!  This can be a tough one, at times, but I think I pulled it off.

You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. Please be sure to click the person after me to move along the blog hop. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.  So, here is my One For The Guys card share that I whipped up.  Literally!  I really amazed myself because I never just 'whip' out a card.  haha  I needed something quick and easy for a friend of mine; and the papers and Suite Sayings stamp set worked for the theme for this hop.  YIPPEE!!

MedAchieversHop-SuiteSayings-Lori-DSCN9412

 Creative Tips:

  • The color choices all stem from the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.  Yep!!  I'm using a paper pack that has LOTS of flower images, but there are some non-flower images on the reverse sides of each double-sided sheet.  YEAH!!  So, I started with a Lost Lagoon card base that measure 6-5/8" x 5-1/2" and scored one end at 2-3/8".  It looks like a traditional cardbase that has been shorted.  haha
  • To build out my card and give it a sense of a 'full' card, I cut a piece of Hello Honey cardstock as the matte to the multi-colored chevron patterned designer paper.  I used Fast Fuse to adhere the left part of the panel to the short end of the card base.  Be careful not to forget that you don't need adhesive on all of the panel back...it's a habit!  Ask me how I know to leave you with that tip!  ;)
  • One of my favorite sentiment stamp sets in the Occasions catalog is the Suite Sayings stamp set (page 41).  LOVE it!!  To draw attention to the primary colors that I was using, I pulled out my Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write markers and hand-colored the words before stamping onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock that measures 1" x 4".  I used Fast Fuse to adhere to a piece of Old Olive cardstock that I banner cut.  The banner was popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • So as not to steal away from the Clean And Simple look, I added a couple of White Perfect Accents.  I think it was the 'perfect' added touch....One For The Guys, don't you think?!

  MedAchieversHop-SuiteSayings-Lori-DSCN9417

Have I told you that I have difficulty coming up with a Clean And Simple card??  Well, I do!  It's one of my biggest struggles, but am pretty darned proud of this quick accomplishment.  :)  Thanks for taking part in our blog hop. With so many amazing ideas and inspiration "for the guys' in your life, you won't want to miss checking out all of the blogs...over 30 to check in at!  **squeal** Remember you are currently at (Lori Mueller's -- Stampin' Dreams blog), so please check the blog hop line up below and be sure to click the next blog participant's name on the list.
