Hello stampers and crafty friends! In just a couple short weeks, we will be celebrating Mother's Day, which is our creative theme this month!  Tulips are going to be the flower of celebration this year because of it's multitude of colors available.  One day, I hope to travel to the Netherlands during the prime season of the Tulip fields.  I've seen lots and lots of beautiful pictures...so dreamy!

The Last-Chance Products list was released earlier this week, which includes the 2018-2020 In Colors:  Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch.  I wanted to create a 'field of tulips in Amersterdam', but on a much smaller scale, of course.  One of my personal crafting struggles is to create simply, using only stamps, paper and ink.  I think I achieved it — sort of — I did use a couple of punches.  The struggle is real!  The Starburst Punch also landed on the Last-Chance List...I'm going to miss this one.  Another goal is to show off all of the retiring In Colors on one card with the help  of ink, cardstock and ribbon.  WOOT!

Hello my stamper friends!  Welcome to our April Stamp It Bog Hop.  It's finally behaving like Spring in our area...the blossoms are full on the trees, the tulips and daffodils are in full bloom and the pollen levels are on a high.  But, soon it is a time that we celebrate all the Mom's in the world, too.  Check out all the love created for Mother's Day...I'm sure your inspiration bucket will fill to the brim.

If you have been traveling along the Stamp It Group Blog Hop, or, if this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me Lori Mueller, Stampin' Dreams. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

One of my favorite things to do is to combine and share the love with my Designer Series paper on one creation.  The background patterned papers are from different paper packs and rests on a matte layer of Highland Heather.  The Old Olive dotted pattern comes from the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper and the rustic wood layer comes from the Wood Textures Series Paper Stack.  Partnering these patterns allowed me to enhance a Spring-y tone with a vintage-y appeal.  So much like me.  haha!

To tie the sentiment together with the Powder Pink cardstock base (retiring on June 3rd) and Highland Heather matte layer, ink up the sentiment from Strong & Beautiful in Highland Heather and stamp onto a strip of Powder Pink.  Add it to the Early Espresso Pretty Label die using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Instead of stamping the flower images from the Needle & Thread stamp set, I decided to fussy-cut (fancy word for hand cutting out the flowers) various flower bundles from the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper pack.  The rest of the die cuts are a mix of Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Vellum cardstock from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies set to fill the 'bouquet'. 

COOL TIP WITH TOOLS — There's a fun die within the Needlepoint Elements framelits dies that coordinates with the Pretty Label punch.  The die is shaped just like our Pretty Label punch, but when run through the Big Shot, it leaves a stitched/dotted layer...it does not 'cut' out a layer.  But, this stitched/dotted layer lines up perfectly with the Pretty label punch to allow you to punch out the impression and use as an individual element.  Super cool!

Hello and welcome to our Stamp It Bog Hop.  It is Sale-A-Bration season and this year's celebration is, by far, the best one I've been involved with during my last 10 years as a demonstrator.  I'm loving all of the freebies we can earn!  And, by the looks of it, YOU are enjoying it, too. Has your crafting table ever been flowing with lots of shapes of cardstock, stamped images, and die cut pieces that didn't make the cut for the original project you were working on at that time?  Yeah, me too!  I have been feverishly working on sooo many different projects using Sale-A-Bration stamps, paper and embellishments the past few weeks.  I decided I was going to create this little gem using up a few of those pieces.  We've got a little bit of Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper, flower and leaves; and, the sentiment comes from the Part of My Story stamp set. Both are available to earn free with either a $50 or $100 product purchase.  Can you save LOVELY?!!

The Painted Seasons Designer paper layer was cut out using one of the Stitched Rectangles and rests on the Basic Black layer that was dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing folder.  The sentiment was inked and heat embossed with Black Embossing powder on a Vellum Oval die cut that was framed with Pool Party cardstock.  This layer was set in place using Stampin' Dimensionals.

And, look at that beautiful flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set inked up with Poppy Parade...same color as the Painted Seasons paper layer.  Color coordination made super easy!  The leaves were inked with Granny Apple Green and added to the flower to make an arrangement.  Can you see the depth and dimension of those stamped images?  These are Stampin' Up!'s new "Distinktive" style of imagery...one single stamp impression.  Sooo pretty and half the work of double- and triple-step stamping that we've had in past stamp sets.

Good evening my stamper friends! I'm so happy that you're traveling the Creative Inking Blog Hop for the month of January! This months theme is geared towards Sharing The Love!  This does not necessarily have to revolve around Valentine's Day, so I created a project that can be used for any celebration of love or appreciation.  I can't wait to share with you!!

So, to start off this post, I have a confession to make.  I have never created a project using our LOVELY Gable Boxes!  GASP!!  They come in both Lustrous White and Silver, both of which, I have in my stash, but haven't found the right moment or need to dress one up.  Well, here we go because that is going to change!

I am in the middle of designing several different projects as prototypes for my daughter to give little gifts to her bridesmaids later this year.  Yes, if I don't start early, I'll be freaking out later.  These boxes measure 4" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and can hold quite a few small thoughtful items. The Meant To Be stamp set and coordinating Be Mine Stitched Framelits aren't just for creating Valentine gifts and cards.  I have found this bundle to be very versatile and fitting for many occasions.

My new fav product to use in my creations is the Tufted Dynamic Embossing folder and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  That Stitched Scalloped edging is to 'die' for; and the pillow effect from the Tufted embossing folder is super cute embedded within the scalloped heart die.  I am having so much fun playing with the Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper, too.  It comes in a pack of 6 sheets (3 Grapefruit Grove and 3 Lovely Lipstock) and is one of the free selections in the Sale-A-Bration catalog with a $50 product purchase.

Hello stampers and crafters!!  Welcome to the All Star Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop for January! You are joining during the round of tutorials (August–January). It’s different from the project in the Tutorial Bundle as they are exclusive and you won’t see them anywhere else!

I am showing off the beautiful Forever Lovely stamp set and the very pretty All My Love Designer Series Paper.  I just love the color tones in this pack with exception to the Soft Suede color...it is not part of the designer paper pack.  I wanted something a tad darker than Crumb Cake so that we could all distinguish the one pattern a bit better.

The Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies are a must have, too!  They are bundled with another stamp set, but I tell ya'...they are going to be LOVED for any project you are dreamin' up!  Oh, and the Flax Ribbon is like a burlap, but sooo much softer in texture.  You need to make sure to get you some of that Flax!

Hello Stampers and Papercrafters!  Welcome to our very first A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!!  A number of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the monthly kit.  This month's hop features the wonderful "A Sara Thing" kit.  I am a culprit of habit, and don't always get my box opened, and when I do, it is to create the projects in the way that the instructions are laid out.  So, I am super excited to be a member of this group so that I can make myself 'think outside the box'!  *giggle*  Let's see how I did.

I knew that I was going to do something with the embossed heart, but in my head it looked more like a diamond.  I am very fortunate that I have two jewels in my life...my Mom and my Mother-in-Law!  Both are amazing women and I would not trade them for anything.

I used most of the supplies that came in the kit, but added a few things that weren't.  The Whisper White layer is matted to a piece of Cucumber Crush; and I added a strip of Rich Razzleberry Designer Series Paper from the Brights Paper Stack.  Shaker cards are always a fun, so I cut out the center of the embossed heart with a Sweet & Sassy heart framelit and backed it with a piece of Window Sheet.

The kit came with a free set of 4 Watercolor Pencils, so I stuck with coloring the entire embossed heart with Rich Razzleberry.  I stamped the "You" sentiment with Archival Basic Black ink onto the Window Sheet before adding Foam Adhesive Strips to the back to create the shaker component.  Add a piece of Delicate White Doilies for a more feminine appeal and top with one of the Rich Razzleberry flower accents and leaves.

Welcome stampers and crafters to our April Stamp It Blog Hop.  I am currently in Salt Lake City, Utah attending OnStage Live (Stampin' Up!'s local Convention) and it has been pretty chilly to down right cold with snow falling in the nearby mountains.  While I am having a blast learning about our new products coming out, I am so excited to be hanging out with a number of group members on this very hop...in person!!  **squeal**

Oooh-la-la!!  Love how elegant and vintage this turned out...two of my FAVORITE words to describe my style of creating a card.

Creative Tips:

• The card base is a half sheet of Mossy Meadow cardstock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2") scored at 4-1/4".  If you love Mossy Meadow, I'm here to tell you that it will be on the retirement list when it comes out and will no longer be available to purchase after May 31st...or, until the supply runs out.  This is my favorite shade of green and I will miss it terribly....great for masculine cards, too.

• Let's start with the main focal panel, which is Watercolor paper.  I stamped the largest rose using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  Once it cooled, I heavily misted the rose section with water using a Stampin' Spritzer.  Taking my Aqua Painter and Watermelon Wonder ink smooshed into the lid of my stamp pad, I lightly touch the pool of water within each cavity of the embossed sections of the rose.  When you touch the ink to each water pool, the ink with spread.  NOTE:  Always start with a little amount of ink....it's easier to add more ink...you cannot take it away.  Also, you do not want to use a paper towel to blot the excess water because you will also blot up the ink that you added to each cell.

• You'll repeat the same steps to add Mossy Meadow ink to the leaves.

• The sentiment was inked with StazOn Jet Black ink.

• Once the watercoloring has thoroughly dried, I took the edge of my scissors and roughed up the edges...this is called 'distressing'.   To add some balance to the card, I added a tiny bow using 1" Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim wrapping it to the upper corner.

• The Watercolor paper layer was adhered to a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock, but not before adding a strip of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (Mint Macaron design) so that it peeks out of the upper corner where I added a bit more distressing.

OSAT - Monochromatic May Blog Hop

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you!  Today, I am sharing the card I created and sent off to my Mom with a box of Dove Heart Chocolates and gift.  I don't want to spill too many beans because her package will not arrive in her mailbox until Monday.  Yes, I am traditionally late....no matter how many weeks or months I purchase a gift...in advance!  Eeeek!  I am so excited to share my card...let's take a peek.

Here are the fine details....

• I'm soooo happy that Stampin' Up! prints the colors featured in each of the Designer Series Paper packs....makes it so much easier to look for coordinating cardstocks, inks, embellishments, etc.  The color combination is partly inspired by the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack...Blushing Bride (card base) and Lost Lagoon (matted layer to Blushing Bride patterned paper).  I threw in Pear Pizzazz to ink up the leaves because it was a tad darker than Pistachio Pudding.

• I would have to say that 99% of my creations MUST have a texture or mix of media sprinkled throughout.  Even though I did not use my Big Shot (GASP!!), I added a little texture of distressing around the sentiment.  This piece is matted on a Lost Lagoon patterned piece from the All Abloom DSP Stack.

• The sentiment comes from the Mother's Love stamp set and was inked with Versa Mark ink, then heat embossed using Basic Black embossing powder and my heat tool.  The photo doesn't show off the embossing, but the raised texture really adds a beautiful WOW factor.  When in doubt about the appearance of any sentiment...heat emboss it.  :-)

• I would have to say that it has been FOREVER since I have fussy-cut anything.  The floral images in the Mother's Love stamp set are designed as a 2-step stamp system. I stamped the outline of the flower & stemp using Memento Black Ink, and then inked up the 'filler' of the flowers and leaves using Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.  I layered the flowers and used Stampin Dimensionals to pop them up.

• To add character and balance, I used Linen Thread to tie around the flower stems...giving it the appearance of a flower bunch.  I took a 1/4 of a Tea Lace Doily, scrunched it and glued it to the back of the sentiment layer; and fussy cut the smaller flower of the group and popped up and placed in the corner.

• And, don't forget the bling!  Each flower was adorned with a Rhinestone jewel.

         

I love dressing up the inside of my cards, too.  I did warn you that this was a beauty, right?!!  I had sooo much fun creating this card for my wonderful Mom.  Now that I've shared, I am really anxious for her to get her package.  Giddy up, Pony Express!
