This months kit is designed for any sort of celebration...birthday, congratulations, etc.  PLUS, it is designed to coordinate with the Broadway Bound Suite...products can be found in the Annual catalog (page 68-69).  Super exciting!!

For my creation, I did a combination of products from the paper pumpkin kit and the Boradway Bound Suite (Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper and cardstock pack and the Broadway Lights Framelits Dies).

I took one of the cardbases from the kit and cut the front base to fit the Basic Black cardbase front.  I used the remain paper pumpkin cardbase to add a strip to the inside bottom.

The die cut "Hooray" is a sticker, but I wanted it to pop, so I added dimensionals and popped it up on a Lovely Lipstick Broadway die cut.  The Black and Gold candles paper is from the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series paper...I thought it really brought all of the gold elements together.

The gold numbers (25) were hand cut with Paper Snips from one of the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper patterns.  I popped it up on one of the cake die cuts that came with the Broadway Star kit...then, popped that up with dimensionals to put in place on the inside.

It has been a long time since I've created a Pop-up card, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.  This will be perfect for our daughter...bold, bright, and perfect for her to celebrate a quarter of a century.  :)

Upcycled Gift Jar

It gets more and more difficult to buy for my daughters as they are at the age that they buy for themselves...what they want and when they want it.  HA!!  So, I'm always on the hunt for a new way to present them with moolah as a present!  Teehehe

Do you struggle creating "Manly" cards?  Yep, I do, too!  Buuut, I'm so excited to see my Paper Pumpkin kit arrive filled with the supplies to create 10 masculine cards ranging from birthday to thank you...and, including nephews and brothers.

Another thing I struggle with is creating clean and simple cards...this entire kit is just that.  But, of course, when I create to showcase an alternative card, I have to kick it up a notch...or two.  :)  I started with a traditional cardstock base of 4-1/4" x 11', but scoring it at 4-1/4" and 8-1/2" is not our typical card style.

I took one of the cardbases from the kit and cut the wood grain and plaid sections off of the card base so that I could use the pieces to decorate and create a really fun pocket card.

The front pocket can house the woodgrain notecard, but there are so many different items you can tuck into pocket cards:  bookmarks, magnets, tags, gift cards, and personalized notes.

Cute Thank You Tag

You are not probably going to believe this, but this little tag is made up of scraps that were laying around my craft counter.  **squeal**  I inked the "thank you" image in Mossy Meadow and stamped first and 2nd renditions onto the scrap stitched shape circle.  The woodgrain strip is from the pocket notecard that I trimmed down.  Super cute, right?!!

I'm really pleased with how these projects came together...clean and simple!  The pocket card can be for any occasion, too...birthday, anniversary, etc.  Gotta love the creations that are designed to accommodate more than one occasion.  :)

Do you have a sailor or avid boater in the family?  How cute is this kit?  Fun 3" x 3" cards with coordinating envelopes...then you can tuck a set of five into the adorable gift box.  You'll have four wonderful gifts...all out of ONE little kit!  Can't beat that, I'd say! ;)

I decided to take one cardbase from each design and cut the 3" x 6" in half.  The Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes were calling my name to enhance and add the original designed 3" x 3" card to the front.  I focused on adding cardstock pieces in the coordinating colors of Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Pool Party.

One more added feature was to emboss the cardstock strip layers using the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder.  I couldn't resist...it was meant to have a little bit of wave with the images.  :)

This set of 5 notecards went together pretty quickly.  Now, all I have to do is add a little coordinating stamped image to the envelopes and I have a 'larger' gift set of cards to give away.  By cutting the 3" x 3"s in half, I'll get double the amount of cards because all but one had the matching design on the other half.  **squeal**

This month's hop features a little bit of vintage...such as reflecting on Stampin' Up!'s upcoming 30th Anniversary celebration...many good things have grown over the years since Stampin' Up! came to life back in 1988.  :)

I die cut the largest stitched oval from the center of one of the patterned pieces and raised it to reflect an eclipse effect.

I had to matte the patterned paper because it is too pretty not to pair it up with Fresh Fig cardstock.  The Fresh Fig ribbon is oh-so pretty for finishing into a knot.

The focal wooden piece was stamped with one of the sentiments using Early Espresso Classic ink.  Add one of the larger Fresh Fig pearls to each end and decorated with a couple of the leaf punch-outs.

Coordinating Envelope Box (aka Bag-a-lope)

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to alter one of the envelopes into a little treat gift box.  Decorate it with some of the ribbon and die cut flowers and leaves, and you've got a winner of a little gift box.

Due to the heaviness of the envelope, it would work best to use Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored Tool to ensure you get a nice score line to fold on.

Slice a very thin piece off the bottom of the envelope.  Then score at 5/8" on each side, and 3/4" on the bottom.  Snip up from the bottom to horizontal score line on each side, fold on score lines, adhere the bottom together, and decorate.

This month's hop features Spring and blooming flowers...Wildflower Wishes.  Now, if only my wish for Spring to arrive and stay for awhile would come true because I'm tired of the bitter cold weather.  How about you?  I really like that the stamp set includes several sentiments that can be paired up...large and bold with a smaller, fancy cursive font.  Check out the envelopes that are printed with a floral liner....sooo pretty!

I decided to stamp the "Celebrate" sentiment with VersaMark and then clear emboss onto one of the patterned paper choices.

It's been a while since I had created a shaker card. The large Decorative Label panel is a sticker, so it made it super easy to cut a Window Sheet strip and stick to the back without having to add my own adhesive.

This kit featured Garden Green and Sahara Sand, but my creation needed a 3rd color, so I added in a strip of Pool Party for the backing of the shaker portion.  The Metallic Sequins are the perfect touch for a little glam and more color.  The rest of the components came with the kit.

Coordinating Triangle Chocolate Treat Holder

This little holder is using a strip cut from one of the patterns papers with the kit.  I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to create the little Garden Green flap (matches the large sentiment stickers in the kit...**squeal**)!!  I inked up the sentiment with Garden Green and clear heat embossed onto a strip of Pool Party.  You can't see them, but there are 2 wonderful chocolates wrapped in green foil.  Perfect for this project and so stinkin' adorable!

This month's hop features the next special occasion...Valentine's Day...so, it's only fair that the kit would be named "Heartfelt Love Notes".  The stamp set includes six different sentiments and four "Love Note' images. Every box is filled with everything you need to create 16 Love Notes...even comes with the envelopes!

I decided to take one of the love notes and cut off the front flap...leaving only the pocket portion to alter.

I have been in a heat emboss crafting crave this last month!  Whoa!!  Say that 3 times real fast...quite the tongue twister.  Buuut, so much fun!  This picture doesn't show off the shine of the clear embossed "Happy Valentine's Day", but you can definitely see the gold foil hearts on the pocket.

I cut off the scalloped edge of one of the note cards and matted it with Rich Razzleberry cardstock to give it a little color contrast to the Flirty Flamingo pocket.

And, look!  There's the flap that I cut off...and, the scallops from the note card.  Teehehe!  The vellum heart was part of the kit, as well as, the gel dots and ribbon.  I cheated and used a regular fork to create that awesome bow!  That is my go-to technique when I want both tails to display from behind the knot.  It gives such a more finished and clean look.

Isn't this just adorable?!!  Lots of heat embossing...the sentiment and little envelopes.  I love how the gold embossed mini envelopes came out on the Rich Razzleberry cardstock...very rich looking.

What do you think?  In my creative dreams, I was striving for elegant, which is a bit different from the modern look of the original pocket note card.  :)  If you haven't done any heat embossing lately, you need to pull out that Heat Tool and have some fun.  I can't seem to put my gun down for very long before I'm heat embossing something new.  I'd love to have you share your creations with me.

This month's hop features a botanical feel called the "Flora & Flutter" kit.  The stamp set includes five different sentiments and four garden-ey images...in other words, a butterfly, a flower, a fern and a sprig image.  Every box is filled with everything you need to create 8 greeting cards...even comes with the envelopes!

I am a huge fan of 'non-traditional' sized cards....4" x 4" cards are always FUN, and, they will still fit in an A2-sized envelope!

One of the card designs was a floral laser cut design that would have a piece of Dazzling Diamonds paper adhered behind it.  The first thing that came to mind was "oooh! this could be a 'stencil-type' image".  Sooo, that's what I went with...using it as a stencil.

I placed it over top a piece of Vellum cardstock and covered the stencil with VersaMark ink.  Once the area was inked up...out came the Copper powder...I love our Copper Embossing powder and how smooth it melts up.

I love the result!  Layering this piece over top a Peekaboo Peach scallop circle was the element to adding a bit of softness to the large embossed are.  The Lemon Lime Twist leaves were cut from one of the supply pieces and tucked behind the focal panel.  The final touch is the coordination of the Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and the stamped butterfly and Flora and Flutter sentiment.
