I chose to feature the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series paper pack and focus on the color palette designed for that pack.  The fun color combination of Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, and Mango Melody is fitting for birthday cards of any age.  I chose the striped pattern because of the line structure that compliments the Whisper White panel embossed with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder.  To make it fun, I tilted the two layers in a non-uniformed fashion going in opposite directions.

The star of the greeting is that stinkin' cute MOUSE!  I've caught lots of those little buggars in my garage and would never think to find myself referring to one as "cute"!  He's a 2-step process.  The 'fur' image is stamped in Early Espresso, then the 'filler' image is inked in Crumb Cake.  For a shaded (lighter) effect, stamp the filler image once on scrap paper then save the 2nd rendition stamping to fill in the body of the mouse.  The Stitched So Sweetly Dies are ahhh-mazing and a must-have tool for future creations.

The sentiment is inked with Bermuda Bay and popped up with dimensionals...same as the Stitched So Sweetly die garnished with the Metallic Baker's Twine (Sale-A-Bration freebie that is completely sold out).  To add a sprinkling of complimentary color, I added some of those sequins in the Combo pack using teeny-tiny dollops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. CONGRATULATIONS to our last month's Blog Hop Winner!

I've been having sooo much fun playing with all of the Sale-A-Bration items offered (stamps, dies, papers and accessories.  How 'bout you?!!  They are all super cute and fun!  Especially, the Special Someone stamp set!  Those little critters do not come with an age requirement, so go ahead and include them on Birthday cards of all ages.  What's even more exciting is that Stampin' Up! is offering a set of dies that coordinates with those critters!  So awesome, right?  No need to handcut...simply stamp and die cut!  Perfect timing, because our theme this month is to showcase a new Coordination product that go with the Sale-A-Bration stamps.

 

My stash of Thank You cards is pretty slim...and, I was struggling to decide which critter to add to my card, so I paired up all three to help proclaim my heartfelt thanks 3-fold.  I love the subtle patterns of designer paper in the Birthday Bonanza paper pack because I did not want it to steal away from the cuteness of my critters. The various sizes of Layering Circles was designed to compliment the size of each critter...all popped up on a strip of Coastal Cabana accented with a couple strands of baker's twine (part of the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo pack...now sold out).

Each critter from the Special Someone stamp set is set up as a 2-step stamp process...the fur is a darker shade and the filler of the fur is a lighter color that is stamped off before stamping onto the critter.  For instance, the raccoon is first stamped with Basic Gray and the filler of the fur is Smoky Slate that has been stamped off onto scrap paper before stamping onto the raccoon's fur image. The little flowers were stamped with Basic Gray and filled in with Grapefruit Grove, Coastal Cabana and Mango Melody.  Everything was die cut using the Coordination Special Day Dies and popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The "thank you" sentiment is part of the Special Someone set inked in Basic Gray for two panels and Coastal Cabana for the middle one.  I love how the sentiments tier down based on the size of the circles.  But, what I love even more is how quickly this card came together...all because of the wonderful coordinating Special Day Dies!  Thank you, Stampin' Up! Well, January has opened up it's arms and blessed us with bitter cold temps, blustery winds, snow and ended with freezing drizzle that has made all of our city streets a treacherous ice skating rink!  YIKES!!

The Cup of Christmas stamp set and coordinating Cup Of Cheer Dies has been calling my name for several weeks.  So, with the cold weather, comes a nice cup of hot chocolate after a long day at work.  YUM!  This hot chocolate pocket was super easy to put together; and displays this fun winter pattern from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  I love it when sentiments are set up to allow me to use my Stampin' Write Markers to add more than one color.  Using coordinating colors from the designer paper (Real Red and Shaded Spruce), it just really makes the project look more detailed without any added effort.  YAY!
