Good morning stampers and paper crafters! Welcome to my blog for the June One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop! We are all pulling a fast one on you this month when we share our creations using the theme "Lay It Out". Eeek! This meant that we create a SCRAPBOOK page! Oh-my-golly...I haven't made a page in a very loooong time. Sooo, what's the recommendation for a long hibernation? I found the perfect page to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from the new Annual Stampin' Up! catalog. WHEW! Let's see how I did!
This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful craftiness, click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end.
My layout comes from the Memories & More section of the catalog that showcases the wonderful card pack called "Delightfully Detailed" The page measures 6" x 8" so that it fits in one of the Memories & More pockets. I also did something that was REALLY difficult for me...I cut into and across all of those lovely laser-cut flowers that is part of the Delightfully Detailed Specialty Designer Series Paper. I thought I was going to faint! Seriously!!
Not only did I cut into the full sheet, but I also cut out individual laser-cut pieces, too. It was fun to dress up the matte layer for the picture with a few more flowers. LOVE!!
There was a fun twist with this creation that left me cursing from one side of my mouth, and chuckling out the other side. GEESH!! I did some dying of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon using the Blackberry Bliss reinker...a really cool technique that allows me to carry the color coordination through my project. What I forgot (and was in a hurry) was just how long it takes for Tulle to dry. Take a closer peek at the picture...can you see what situation I'm talking about? Let's just say that no matter how much I washed my fingers...that Blackberry Bliss was going to transfer to my project no matter what! ugh!
At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next OSAT designers blog. You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun and exciting to share with you. If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below. Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!
