Hello stamping friends!  Welcome to my creative share with the A Paper Pumpkin Thing (APPT) blog hop group!  Our creative crew is a group of Stampin' Up! WITH LOVE & GRATITUDE

This month's blog hop is working with the With Love & Gratitude (September 2023) Paper Pumpkin kit.  It contains the supplies to make eight mini cards and eight little gift bags.  The cards come with adorable little coordinating envelopes, too!  Once the supplies are used up to create those projects, I like to focus on creating a fun alternative card using the kits stamp set, plus, additional supplies and tools from my own stash.

The color combination is magnificent this month!  I incorporated every single color into my card—Copper Clay, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Pebbled Path, and anything Gold.  I started with a Crumb Cake card base (5-1/2 x 8-1/2)—perfect color to show off the rest of the colors featured in the kit.

I took another piece of Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 and embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.  This one is a new one found in the September-December 2023 Mini catalog.  So pretty!  I matted that layer with Pebbled Path cardstock that measures 1/8" larger than the embossed layer (5-1/4 x 4).  That was added to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Here's where the Gold comes in.  I heat embossed the large floral image with Gold embossing powder onto Lost Lagoon, Copper Clay and Mossy Meadow.  Each one was die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Die and accented with some Gold 3/8" Satin Edged Ribbon tied at the top of the die.  I planted each one onto the card using Stampin' Dimensionals in a kitty-wompass arrangement.  The sentiment was inked with Pebbled Path onto Very Vanilla cardstock and added to the card with dimensionals.  So quick, easy, and elegant!

Hello Friends!!  I've been looking through the Last Chance List to see what is still available to purchase; and, much to my surprise, I found some wonderful products with great discounts still on the shelves!  I can't believe the fun and vibrant Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes and Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper packs haven't sold out by now. So, I'm here today with a fun project share that showcases a fun and easy Tiling Technique.  I showed how to put these together during my Sunday Stampin' Dreams Facebook Live on April 23, 2023.  Look for the video and link at the bottom of this post.  If you need to purchase any of the supplies, I've listed them at the bottom, too.  I highly suggest you place an order quick because I guarantee that you'll want to grab these sale items before they disappear for good. 

I started out selecting 5 different patterned papers from the Tea Boutique pack that coordinated with the 5 card bases.  From there, I pulled a coordinating cardstock color from each patterned paper to use as the matte layer and Love For You Dies. I die cut the center to create a frame using the Stitched Rectangle Dies...the one that measures 3-1/8" x 2-3/4".  This set of dies is also on the Last Chance List.  I literally shed a tear because this set of dies has been one of my go-to sets.  Love-Love-Love them!  I filled in the center with a piece of Vellum cardstock to tone down the card front so it wouldn't overwhelm and steal away from the focal center I was adding.

This one is the Sweet Sorbet cardbase with a Parakeet Party cardstock layer that compliments the Tea Boutique Designer paper.  The small and large flower images are part of the Love For You stamp set and are stamped with Sweet Sorbet and Petal Pink ink...two more colors pulled from the patterned paper.

There isn't an image to stamp the flower centers, so I filled them in with Silver studs from the Adhesive Backed Studs embellishment pack.  Perfect shape!

This card uses a Crumb Cake matte layer, Tahitian Tide and Crush Curry for the die cut words and flowers...kind of a Hawaiian vibe, don't you think?  I love how one card layout is receptive to several different occasions that were supported by various sentiments found in the Love For You stamp set...Congratulations and Thanks.  I know a couple female colleagues who are retiring at the end of this school year, so I wanted to wish them well traveling their next journey.  Then, there are a couple of Lori's Dream Team members who have helped others discover their creative side.  So proud of them!

The Petal Pink matted frame layer, the die cut "for you" in Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet, stamped flowers and sentiment were all popped up, while the Vellum cardstock layer was adhered directly to the card front to reflect a window effect and depth.

In my opinion, I believe this one is the boldest and brightest of them all.  The matte layer is Starry Sky with Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide for the die cut words and flowers.  Each finished card was connected to its coordinating envelope and is now ready for my message and delivery. A quick and easy set of 5 cards all set for a wonderful celebrations and acknowledgement!

Hello Friends!!  I've got a fantastic card to share with you that is incorporating new items from the 2023 January-April Mini catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  The Best Day stamp set includes a few images that are perfect for color with a number of mediums...alcohol markers, watercolor pencils or watercoloring with ink.  My color palette for the cake colors originate from the Dandy Designs 12' x 12' Designer Series Paper—FREE with a $100 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.

I started with a Balmy Blue card base and added a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock that was run through with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder to the top half of the card front.  The bottom half consists of patterns that make up the front and back of one sheet of Dandy Designs Designer Series paper.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock that measures 3" x 4". The scalloped tag look at the top was created by using the largest die from the Seasonal Labels Dies.  NOTE:  when layering the plates to cut, make sure the top plate only covers the area of the die that you want cut.  I added the slot die at the same time so I was only needing one pass through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.

It's so therapeutic to color stamped images!  The image was inked with Memento Black and stamped onto the Basic White tag piece.  From the color palette of the Dandy Designs Designer paper, I chose to color with Stampin' Blends using the combo packs of Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green and Smoky Slate.  For added dimension, the 'Birthday' portion of the image was inked again and stamped onto a piece of scrap Granny Apple Green, hand cut out and attached with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  Slip a piece of Balmy Blue & White Ribbon through the slot and finish off with some Smoky Slate Baker's Twine tied into a bow.  Add this piece to the card front with dimensionals.

To finish the project, I scattered some Iridescent Pastel Gems (new from the January-April mini catalog) across the card.  I love to decorate envelopes...gotta give the postal carrier something to enjoy during their route :)...I did a little bit of stamping with Calypso Coral and Balmy Blue ink on the front and adhered a piece of the Dandy Designs Designer Paper to the flap of the envelope.  All set for a wonderful birthday celebration!

SPOOKY TREATS

This month's blog hop floats along with Spooky Treats (September 2022) Paper Pumpkin kit.  Get ready to make this the most fang-tastic Halloween ever! It has all the ghostly accessories necessary to Trick—or—Treat.  Teehehe

I went with Basic Black as my cardbase which measures 5-1/2" x 5-3/4" and then scored at 1-1/2" along the 5-1/2" side.  You'll need another strip that measures 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" for the bottom section to create the Open Panel. 

The designer paper is actually one of the sleeves that was cut down and matted with Pumpkin Pie before adhering to the cardbase and extra Basic Black strip.  The inside panel is Fresh Freesia...thought it was less dramatic than using Basic White.

Die cut a piece of Orchid Oasis using the largest square from the Stylish  Shapes dies.  Use that as a matte layer to the 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" Basic Black square.  Position the extra matted Basic Black strip on the bottom section of the card base.  The ghost image is absolutely adorable when heat embossed with White powder onto Vellum cardstock.  After hand cutting them out, I added ink to the back using a Water Painter.  I used the color palette used in the kit:  Crushed Curry, Orchid Oasis, Pumpkin Pie and Fresh Freesia.  They were added to the stitched square with Mini Dimensionals that were cut in half and strategically added to the eyes and mouth of the ghost.  This was to ensure the dimensionals were not seen through the Vellum.

Add adhesive to the top and bottom 1/4" section of the stitched square and add it to the front top flap and the bottom strip.  This builds a 'bridge' between the two sections and creates the Open Panel. Hello my stamping friends!  Welcome to another series of our PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop!  I'm very happy you have stopped by because our Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are collaborating to create alternate projects using the supplies (plus, additional supplies) that come with our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  Each month, my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and members of my Stampin' Up! family (Lori's Dream Team) receive exclusive tutorials to beautiful alternate projects created by our PPX Crew.  Since we are having so much fun sharing exclusive alternate projects with our subscribers, we are creating a 2nd alternate project that is being shared with everyone! YAY!

PICK OF THE CROP

This month's blog hop features the refreshing hints of summer Pick Of The Crop (June 2022) kit.  This kit was filled with so many elements of summer that one would see, taste and smell during a morning stroll through your local Farmers Market.  Even reminded me of my trip to Italy a couple years ago...so fun!

I love that the coordinating colors are noted on the back of the instruction panel that comes with each kit.  I had a good number of colors to choose from, but I went with one of my favorites—Soft Succulent for my cardbase.  The main focal panel is taken from one of the cardbases that came with the kit that I cut to make a vertical gate fold.  I started with a 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 card base that is scored at 2-3/4 and 8-1/4 along the long edge.

The original card base front was cut from the back at 4-1/4—saving the back for another project.  Then trim on all sides by 1/16" to give an even 1/4" trim.  Take the front panel and cut at 2-5/8 from the bottom.  To divide the trimmed card panel, cut at 2-5/8 from the bottom and adhere to each the top and bottom sections of the gatefold sections of the new cardbase.  Add the strawberry/blueberry die cut to the bottom section with Dimensionals forming the overlap of the gatefold.

Ink the sentiment with Calypso Coral and stamp onto one of the picket die cuts.  Add it to a set of berries and adhere everything to the card front with Dimensionals.  For a little country touch, tie some Linen Thread around the stake and tie into a bow.  Here's a close-up of the texture, colors and dimension.  Oh-so pretty! Hello Friends!!  Welcome to my blog share as a member of the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! Today, we have a variety of occasions that we are featuring…a sure way to fill your inspiration bucket.  I'm highlighting the Slim Sayings Bundle found in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog along with the In Good Taste 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper that is retiring from the Annual catalog.

High School graduations are just around the corner!! My favorite part creating a card for the graduate is to use their school colors…always makes it extra special! The background is a subtle piece of In Good Taste Designer Paper that has a bit of natural hue to it that makes this card earthy and vintage. I matted it with Merry Merlot cardstock and added to the Basic White Thick card base (measures 4-1/4 x 11))

You May be pondering on the Chevron die and wondering ’hey, I thought that die was longer than that’! You are correct!! I love when some dies have the allowance to lengthen or shorten to fit a particular creation. The Misty Moonlight strips were popped up with Dimensionals…I love dimension! The sentiment was inked with Misty Moonlight and Merry Merlot markers, stamped onto Basic White and die cut with Layering Circles Dies.  I think this graduate is going to keep this gem for a long time!

Hello Friends!!  Welcome to my blog share as a member of the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are excited to share our creative paper crafting ideas with you. Today we are each focusing on inspiration found in the Annual catalog and CASEing it using new stamps, paper and tools that are available in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog. I'm highlighting the Boughs & Blossoms Bundle along with the Flowering Fields 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.

It didn't take me long to decide to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) this card featuring the Timeless Tropical Bundle on page 21 in the Annual catalog.

My inspiration to feature the Boughs & Blossoms Bundle was based on the two individual flowers and leaves arrangement.  Super quick and easy to recreate!

I love to include a bit of texture and dimension in each of my projects!  So, you could sort of say that I enhanced on the card I CASE'd by adding an additional layer of Poppy Parade cardstock that was embossed using the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folder.  Since it's a mini folder, I did have to run it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine twice.  The flowers were inked with Petal Pink and hand cut with my Paper Snips.  Before adding them to the card front with dimensionals, I threw in a large bow made with the Basic Black Backer's Twine.  This was to compliment the sentiment that was heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder onto a Pool Party strip.  My color palette were selected colors that coordinate with the Flowering Fields 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper pack.  So pretty!

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Trip Achievers Blog Hop for November. The theme for the hop is anything currently offered in our catalogs and we are all excited to share some beautifully handcrafted projects with you!

You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.  I was inspired to create my card share from two different sources… a card pictured in the Mini Catalog (Page 54) and a non-Stampin’ Up’ card makers blog.

Creative Tips:

• I am using a mix of Stampin' Up!'s new papers listed with the Harvest Meadow Suite.  The Fall season is my utmost favorite season and the Harvest Meadow designer papers really hit the mark with a lovely combination of colors and patterns. I really love the Cork Specialty paper! I am still in awe how a paper can replicate the actual feel and texture of a sheet real cork!  I threw in a couple layers of Vellum cardstock to soften the patterns; and, die cut all layers with the same rounded Basic Borders Die.

• Bring on the watercolor!!  Instead of using the Harvest Dies to die cut straight from cardstock or designer paper, I decided to watercolor pieces of Basic White cardstock with Cajun Craze, Bumblebee and Soft Succulent ink.

• Once the paper had dried, dies run through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, I used my Soft Suede Stampin' Write marker to splatter ink onto the Fall elements. They were arranged and set in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set, inked with Soft Suede and stamped onto Basic White cardstock. Once die cut with label die from Harvest Dies set, it was added to the card front with Dimensionals.

Hello my stamping friends!  Welcome to another series of our PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop!  I'm very happy for your visit here.  Our Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are collaborating to create alternate projects using the supplies (plus, additional supplies) that come with our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  Each month, my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and members of my Stampin' Up! family of demonstrators receive exclusive tutorials to beautiful alternate projects created by our PPX Crew.  Well, now we are creating a 2nd alternate project that is being shared with everyone!

This month's blog hop features the beautiful Peaceful Christmas (October 2021) kit.  My project features a fun-fold technique called the Stair-step fold, which was inspired by some of the leftover element pieces I had saved away in the kit.  I'm also using a couple of stamp images from the set that were not used as part of the original card designs.

Even though there were Shaded Spruce card bases included in the kit, I chose to use regular Shaded Spruce cardstock as I needed a base that was not pre-scored.  The Buffalo Check paper were leftover strips that I matted with Silver Foil Paper.  To highlight the card front, I cut one half of the Basic Gray festive cardbases down to 3-1/4 x 4 and matted with Silver Foil paper.  To compliment the card front, I cut the Basic Gray woodgrain element in half and layered on the 'front step' of the card.

To create the Stair-step feature of your card, the Shaded Spruce cardbase is cut 1-inch inside of each long end starting at the 1-inch mark from one short end through to the 5-1/4" mark.  Then, take your scoring tool on your trimmer and score at 1", 2", 4-1/4" and 5-1/4".  The only section that is scored at the 4-1/4" mark is the section in the middle (do not score on the 1" side strips at 4-1/4".   The other score lines should only fall on the 1" strip on each long end side.  Score and burnish the folds to create a 'stair step' effect.  I inked the row of evergreen trees with Shaded Spruce ink (included with kit), stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock (3-1/4 x 4), and set in place to finish the inside of the card.

I used the Fancy Label Punch for the Peaceful Christmas sentiment, which was very similar to size and shape of the sentiment tags that were included with the kit.  The red banner element was adhered to the back of the sentiment tag and added to the card front using Dimensionals.  The final dressing of the card includes a glittering Enamel Gem and a little bow made from the Real Red Baker's Twine—both included in the kit.
