Hello stamping friends!  Welcome to my creative share with the A Paper Pumpkin Thing (APPT) blog hop group!  Our creative crew is a group of Stampin' Up! ALL THE LITTLE THINGS

This month's blog hop is working with the All The Little Things (April 2023) Paper Pumpkin kit.  It contains the supplies to make nine lovely cards with elegant cherry blossom designs, bright colors, and iridescent foil.  Once the supplies are used up to create those cards, I can now focus on creating a lovely card using extra supplies within the kit and additional supplies and tools from my own stash.

The only source of designer patterned paper to use for my card came from the beautiful envelopes.  There were two different patterns...one from the envelope flap and the other from the main part of the envelope.  I cut to size and trimmed the bigger piece with a strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock and adhered it all to the Basic White Thick card base.

One of the original card designs had set of flowers that were stacked on each other to give some dimension, so I stole it to use as my focal image.  I popped it up on a Countryside Corners Die cut that was embossed with the Raindrops Embossing Folder.  Then adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment was inked with Shaded Spruce and stamped onto the smallest die from the Countryside Corners Die set.  I added a bit of the Calpso Coral bakers twine that came with the kit to the back of the sentiment layer, then added to the card front with Dimensionals.

YAY!

SENDING GOOD THOUGHTS

This month's blog hop sets sail across the ocean with the Sending Good Thoughts (July 2022) Paper Pumpkin kit.  With beautifully designed nautical imagery, a fun message in a bottle motif, and sentiments that are “shore” to please, this month’s kit is full of warmth and fun.

I chose Pacific Point as my cardbase and background layer that was die cut with the Dots & Spots Die.  The main focal panel is a fun reflection of a ship at sea.  I thought the Silver & Gold Designer Series paper was a nice subtle pattern that is adhered to a piece of Vellum cardstock.  Wrap the Linen Thread around that Vellum/Silver & Gold DSP twice and finish with a bow.  Then add it to the cardfront using Dimensionals. 

The ship was inked with Basic Gray and heat embossed with Clear Emboss Powder onto a Layering Diorama die cut.  Then add it to the card with Dimensionals.  The sentiment was inked with Bermuda Bay, as well as, the scroll image.  I hand cut out the scroll and added to the Layering Diorama with Liquid Glue.

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Trip Achievers Blog Hop for November. The theme for the hop is anything currently offered in our catalogs and we are all excited to share some beautifully handcrafted projects with you!

If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.  I was inspired to create my card share from two different sources… a card pictured in the Mini Catalog (Page 54) and a non-Stampin’ Up’ card makers blog.

Creative Tips:

• I am using a mix of Stampin' Up!'s new papers listed with the Harvest Meadow Suite.  The Fall season is my utmost favorite season and the Harvest Meadow designer papers really hit the mark with a lovely combination of colors and patterns. I really love the Cork Specialty paper! I am still in awe how a paper can replicate the actual feel and texture of a sheet real cork!  I threw in a couple layers of Vellum cardstock to soften the patterns; and, die cut all layers with the same rounded Basic Borders Die.

• Bring on the watercolor!!  Instead of using the Harvest Dies to die cut straight from cardstock or designer paper, I decided to watercolor pieces of Basic White cardstock with Cajun Craze, Bumblebee and Soft Succulent ink.

• Once the paper had dried, dies run through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, I used my Soft Suede Stampin' Write marker to splatter ink onto the Fall elements. They were arranged and set in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set, inked with Soft Suede and stamped onto Basic White cardstock. Once die cut with label die from Harvest Dies set, it was added to the card front with Dimensionals.

Good morning stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you have stopped by.  Welcome to our February Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop and not miss all of the great inspiration.

It's so hard to believe that Sale-A-Bration ends tomorrow at midnight!  YIKES!  With that said, that's what our hop theme is all about the Final Sale-A-Bration Spring Fling!  This last week, I attended a funeral for my long-time BFF's father.  The first thing I thought of was the Brushed Blooms Bundle and Heal Your Heart stamp sets.  The Heal Your Heart stamps are free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration and has several sentiments that fit this sad occasion.

I'm still on a Brushed Blooms kick and couldn't resist creating a card that brought the two sets together.  I just love the images and dies from this bundle, so I brought in some of the True Love Designer Series Paper that was cut with the 2nd to largest scallop stitched rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies set.  To tone down the starkness of the Basic Black, I overlayed a piece of Vellum cardstock.

I borrowed some inspiration for the Basic White layer from the January-June 2021 mini catalog (page 28).  It consists of a mix of Mint Macaron brushstrokes and Beautiful Brushstrokes Dies.  I first stamped the image from the Brushed Blooms stamp set randomly across the page and filled in with the brushstrokes die pieces.  Then used the little polka dot image inked with Memento, stamped off once, and stamped randomly across the whole area.  Super fun to create your own backgrounds using stamps and dies.

The flower arrangement is made up of Mango Melody and Flirty Flamingo with Soft Sea Foam leaves and Mint Macaron leaf veins...all cut with dies from the Beautiful Brushstrokes Dies set.  For a little softness, I accented the flowers with some White Baker's Twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack.  The sentiment from Heal Your Heart was inked with Memento and trimmed and popped up with Dimensionals.

Hello my stamping friends!  Outside of papercrafting and making cards, I have dabbled in all types of crafting projects...even wood crafts.  Crafting with wood is a true labor of love and can speak volumes.  Someone I know hand crafted this wooden flag in recognition of a police officer in our city, who lost his life in the line of duty.  As soon as I saw it, I was inspired to create a handmade card.

CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) the wood creation, I started with a Basic Black layer that is an 1/8" smaller than a typical A2 card (5-1/2" x 4-1/4") to set the focal design.  The wooden strips were chosen from a pattern in the In Good Taste Designer Series paper pack, making sure that I cut the strips going 'with the grain'.  The Misty Moonlight strip symbolizes and recognizes a fallen hero within our city law enforcement agency.

It took me a bit to figure out how I was going to replicate the 50 stars.  There are several different die sets that include stars, but they were either too big, or were going to be labor intensive with all the die cutting.  As I was flipping through the new August-December 2020 Mini catalog, I came across the Snowflake Sequins image and happened to notice there were STARS in the mix!  YAY!!  Boy, am I glad this product was a "Returning Fav" from the previous years Holiday catalog!

The Basic Black panel for the stars measures 3-1/4" x 2-1/4".  The Fine Tip Glue Pen and Take Your Pick Tool saved the day to make the process go quickly setting all 50 stars.

After evenly spacing the In Good Taste designer paper and Misty Moonlight strips to the Basic Black panel, I wrapped some Misty Moonlight 1/4" Ribbon around the cardstock strip and tied into a knot.  The whole panel was adhered to a Basic Black cardbase with Stampin' Seal.

The panel of stars was set in place with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I chose to leave this card without a sentiment, as I felt the whole design spoke for itself.  I will be making several of these to package and send to the family with my sincerest thoughts and prayers.  May God hold them close and bring peace to their hearts.

Hello stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you are here.  Welcome to our July Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop and not miss a beat.

This month's hop theme is Christmas in July.  Who wouldn't want a tad bit cooler weather; although, my body handles the heat a whole lot better than the frigid cold temps!

These two little gems start off adorning the smaller cardbase and envelopes in the Assorted Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack.  They measure 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" when folded and make the cutest little notecards.

The patterned paper comes from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper pack featuring almost all of the green tones available in the Stampin' Up! color families.  I chose to use Pretty Peacock that was embossed using the Greenery Embossing folder.  I love that there are TWO mini folders in that pack to choose from.  The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and was inked with Just Jade and then die cut using the Ornate Frames.

I'm not sure what the name of this fancy fold card is, but I'm going to call it a vertical "Gate fold".  It is really easy to do.  For this one, I stamped the same sentiment in Just Jade, but punched it out using the Story Label Punch...showcasing the versatility of using the same layout, papers and accessories.

The fun thing about this style of card is that you can write a short note or stamp a sentiment in this section before writing a traditional or lengthy message on the inside.

With the unprecedented situation occurring all around the world, we sure could use a little love when we open that mailbox door.  The Ornate Garden Suite of products has definitely proven to be a crowd pleaser and has delivered many smiles and warm hearts since it's early release this month.

 

This particular patterned paper from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series paper has a bit of pink that resembles one of our 2018-2020 In Colors — Lovely Lipstick.  I'm sad that it will soon be leaving us (set to retire June 2nd), so I wanted to highlight it with one of the Ornate Layers Dies.

Sadly, I have a couple of dear friends (also members of my Lori's Dream Team) who have recently lost loved ones...not due to the current health issue, but the situation makes it really tough to mourn with family and friends.  The sentiment comes from the Ornate Thanks stamp set.  It is a perfect sentiment that can stand by itself and fall into several occasions: Thank You, Sympathy, Appreciation, etc.  I decided to snip this long stream of words apart and have it compliment the daisy image from the Ornate Style stamp set that was stamped onto a heart die cut from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.

Everything rests upon a Vellum layer embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  I just love how elegant this came out!  You can see all of the new Ornate Garden Suite of products HERE.

Hello stampers and crafty friends!  I'm so excited to have you join me for the June Creative Inking Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the very talented Colleen Vassos' blog. This month's hop is all about sharing which of the amazing Suite of products in the beautiful new catalog is our favorite.  YIKES!!  This was SUPER difficult for me...as is any challenge to come up with ONE favorite from a group of products.  It's like asking me to choose which child I gave birth to is my favorite. HA!  Some days I may have had a definite answer for you...but, we won't go there. :)

So, to help make my decision easy (for myself), I decided to go with the Magnolia Lane Suite.  For the most part, it's the Suite of products that I have been playing with the last few days.  Look at all of those amazing creations that are showcased in the catalog (page 36-37)!

To help get my creative juices flowing, I love to CASE a card pictured in the catalog.  This one uses a mix of the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, coordinating Magnolia Memory dies, Magnolica Lane Memories & More Card Pack, and Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards & Envelopes.  Super cool that most of what I needed for this card was already part of the Suite.

The Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack is loaded with 56 cards, plus sticker sheets!  The Vellum layers are already stamped with the images...I just added some color using the Mossy Meadow Light Stampin' Blends on the leaves.  The large Magnolia image was inked in Memento black, stamped onto Whisper White, colored with Stampin' Blends markers and die cut.  The sentiment tag is a sticker, but it's easy to convert it to be a regular tag...simply pounce the back with an Embossing Buddy.  The powder dust will reduce the tacky-ness and allow for Stampin' Dimensionals to do their job.

I love that the Magnolia Lane card bases have a nice Silver Foil engraved on the front.  It can be used to 'frame' one of the smaller Memories & More cards.  All I did to this one was add the sticker that trims the pre-stamped sentiment and a few flower stickers to the lower bottom before adding dimensionals and centering over another card I trimmed down from the pack.

Again, you can make any of the stickers a 'non-sticker' by pouncing the Embossing Buddy all over the stickers backside.  I love the new ribbon pack, too....sooo soft and easy to create bows and knots.  Yummy!

It’s different from the project in the Tutorial Bundle as they are exclusive and you won’t see them anywhere else!

I was looking through my stash of cards and found zilch for get well...desperately in need of them.  It seems like every time I turn around someone is having a knee or hip replaced.  YIKES!!  I love to challenge myself to use more than one pattern of designer paper within the same pack on my projects.  The key is to mix larger patterns with smaller geometric patterns.  This makes it more eye-appealing.

The floral image is purposely created to give your stamped image "Distinktive" depth and shading.  That's right...one inking and one stamping.  Although, with my flower, you are actually looking at the 2nd rendition of the stamped image.  I did this because I wanted it to be a bit more subtle...not to overpower the different patterns of designer series paper.  Plus, the matted Scalloped Layering Circle in Blackberry Bliss compliments the flower image.

 

The Mint Macaron Baker's Twine bow adds a small amount of color to the focal image that is popped up off the Crushed Curry layer.  I think this particular sentiment inked in Blackberry Bliss could fit the bill for a Get Well or Sympathy...what do you think?
