Hello stamping friends!  Welcome to my creative share with the A Paper Pumpkin Thing (APPT) blog hop group!  Our creative crew is a group of Stampin' Up! WITH LOVE & GRATITUDE

This month's blog hop is working with the With Love & Gratitude (September 2023) Paper Pumpkin kit.  It contains the supplies to make eight mini cards and eight little gift bags.  The cards come with adorable little coordinating envelopes, too!  Once the supplies are used up to create those projects, I like to focus on creating a fun alternative card using the kits stamp set, plus, additional supplies and tools from my own stash.

The color combination is magnificent this month!  I incorporated every single color into my card—Copper Clay, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Pebbled Path, and anything Gold.  I started with a Crumb Cake card base (5-1/2 x 8-1/2)—perfect color to show off the rest of the colors featured in the kit.

I took another piece of Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 and embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.  This one is a new one found in the September-December 2023 Mini catalog.  So pretty!  I matted that layer with Pebbled Path cardstock that measures 1/8" larger than the embossed layer (5-1/4 x 4).  That was added to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Here's where the Gold comes in.  I heat embossed the large floral image with Gold embossing powder onto Lost Lagoon, Copper Clay and Mossy Meadow.  Each one was die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Die and accented with some Gold 3/8" Satin Edged Ribbon tied at the top of the die.  I planted each one onto the card using Stampin' Dimensionals in a kitty-wompass arrangement.  The sentiment was inked with Pebbled Path onto Very Vanilla cardstock and added to the card with dimensionals.  So quick, easy, and elegant!

Hello Friends!!  I've been looking through the Last Chance List to see what is still available to purchase; and, much to my surprise, I found some wonderful products with great discounts still on the shelves!  I can't believe the fun and vibrant Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes and Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper packs haven't sold out by now. So, I'm here today with a fun project share that showcases a fun and easy Tiling Technique.  I showed how to put these together during my Sunday Stampin' Dreams Facebook Live on April 23, 2023.  Look for the video and link at the bottom of this post.  If you need to purchase any of the supplies, I've listed them at the bottom, too.  I highly suggest you place an order quick because I guarantee that you'll want to grab these sale items before they disappear for good. 

I started out selecting 5 different patterned papers from the Tea Boutique pack that coordinated with the 5 card bases.  From there, I pulled a coordinating cardstock color from each patterned paper to use as the matte layer and Love For You Dies. I die cut the center to create a frame using the Stitched Rectangle Dies...the one that measures 3-1/8" x 2-3/4".  This set of dies is also on the Last Chance List.  I literally shed a tear because this set of dies has been one of my go-to sets.  Love-Love-Love them!  I filled in the center with a piece of Vellum cardstock to tone down the card front so it wouldn't overwhelm and steal away from the focal center I was adding.

This one is the Sweet Sorbet cardbase with a Parakeet Party cardstock layer that compliments the Tea Boutique Designer paper.  The small and large flower images are part of the Love For You stamp set and are stamped with Sweet Sorbet and Petal Pink ink...two more colors pulled from the patterned paper.

There isn't an image to stamp the flower centers, so I filled them in with Silver studs from the Adhesive Backed Studs embellishment pack.  Perfect shape!

This card uses a Crumb Cake matte layer, Tahitian Tide and Crush Curry for the die cut words and flowers...kind of a Hawaiian vibe, don't you think?  I love how one card layout is receptive to several different occasions that were supported by various sentiments found in the Love For You stamp set...Congratulations and Thanks.  I know a couple female colleagues who are retiring at the end of this school year, so I wanted to wish them well traveling their next journey.  Then, there are a couple of Lori's Dream Team members who have helped others discover their creative side.  So proud of them!

The Petal Pink matted frame layer, the die cut "for you" in Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet, stamped flowers and sentiment were all popped up, while the Vellum cardstock layer was adhered directly to the card front to reflect a window effect and depth.

In my opinion, I believe this one is the boldest and brightest of them all.  The matte layer is Starry Sky with Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide for the die cut words and flowers.  Each finished card was connected to its coordinating envelope and is now ready for my message and delivery. A quick and easy set of 5 cards all set for a wonderful celebrations and acknowledgement!

Hello Friends!!  Welcome to my blog share as a member of the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are excited to share our creative paper crafting ideas with you. Today we are each focusing on inspiration found in the Annual catalog and CASEing it using new stamps, paper and tools that are available in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog. I'm highlighting the Boughs & Blossoms Bundle along with the Flowering Fields 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.

It didn't take me long to decide to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) this card featuring the Timeless Tropical Bundle on page 21 in the Annual catalog.

My inspiration to feature the Boughs & Blossoms Bundle was based on the two individual flowers and leaves arrangement.  Super quick and easy to recreate!

I love to include a bit of texture and dimension in each of my projects!  So, you could sort of say that I enhanced on the card I CASE'd by adding an additional layer of Poppy Parade cardstock that was embossed using the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folder.  Since it's a mini folder, I did have to run it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine twice.  The flowers were inked with Petal Pink and hand cut with my Paper Snips.  Before adding them to the card front with dimensionals, I threw in a large bow made with the Basic Black Backer's Twine.  This was to compliment the sentiment that was heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder onto a Pool Party strip.  My color palette were selected colors that coordinate with the Flowering Fields 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper pack.  So pretty!

As I was looking through the January-June 2021 Mini catalog to see which sets and/or bundles I was going to miss A LOT, I stopped flipping the pages when I came across the Snailed It Suite on pages 54-55.  I think those snails are just so darned cute!  I've made quite a few projects using the stamp images, but the Snail Dies make creating a card super quick and easy to cut coordinating images from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper, too.

There's a new inking technique that I wanted to try using Rubbing Alcohol and Stampin' Up! Reinkers.  The result is really cool and guarantees that you'll never get the same result twice...making your handmade card even more unique!

I tried several different methods and means to create a 'smooshed' background look.  The Vellum cardstock produced a nice subtle smoosh look, but you have to work fast because the rubbing alcohol made the Vellum curl up.  I may have squirted a bit too much, too.  The Window Sheets produced more of a wet mash of ink...the colors blended a bit too much for me.  My favorite was the shimmery Pearlescent Specialty Paper.  It was a nice surprise to see the shimmer from the specialty paper transfer over to the Basic White cardstock layer.

If I had used less squirts of rubbing alcohol on the Vellum, I'm certain I could leave to dry and use on another card.  The nice thing about the Window Sheet is that you can wash/rinse it and reuse for mass production. 

 

Buuut, the Pearlescent Specialty Paper won my vote as I was able to use it on another card as soon as it dried.  **squeal**  I demonstrated this card and how to create the fun alcohol and reinker background during my Sunday Stampin' Dreams online card class.  You can catch the replay here

Happy Memorial Day!  Today, we commemorate the lives of many heros who fell in the line of duty protecting our country from harm and ensuring our freedoms.  Thank you...we will never forget you!

The Color & Contour stamp set with coordinating Scalloped Contours Dies sets the tone for this Red, White & Blue Thank You in recognition of our wonderful veteran heros. I was inspired from a card found in our new Annual catalog focusing on our Blending Brushes to add gradients of color. 

After die cutting the Scalloped Contour frame, I used a scrap piece of paper to create my gradient layers with a Blending Brush and Real Red ink.  A sheet of small Grid paper helped me ensure my lines would be straight across and not "kitty-whompus".  The flower image was inked with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink with the speckles stamped as a second rendition with Misty Moonlight ink.

There's a new pack of paper that is sooo pretty!  Its the Gold & Rose Metallic 6" x 6" Specialty paper and I couldn't pass up adding it to the Misty Moonlight card base.  It also stands as a scalloped circle matte behind the clear embossed sentiment on Vellum cardstock.  Just the right amount of bling.  The coloring options are endless to create something for any occasion.

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Welcome to our May One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop.  My name is Lori Mueller (stampindreams.com) and I'm excited for your visit.  This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful project(s), click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end.  We've got some amazing projects to share with you!

Our May theme is "Mash Up", which is to use products that carried over from the last catalog with products in the new annual catalog.  Let me introduce you to my Color & Contour card.  This set comes from the new Annual catalog and has a coordinating Scalloped Contours Dies set.  I'm excited to share with you how I how put this beauty together.

The Cinnamon Cider card base and color palette of Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride and Petal Pink are all carry-over from the last catalog.  The flower images, sentiment and gorgeous Hand-Penned Designer Series paper made their debut in the new 2021 Annual catalog.  I covered the front of the cardbase with a multitude of 2nd rendition stamping using the splatter image in the Color & Contour stamp set.  This set includes several 2-step stamping images, which makes it easy to add color if you don't have any of the other means of coloring tools (Watercolor Pencils, Water Brushes, Stampin' Blends, etc.).  Because I love layers and dimension, I added some new Pale Papaya & White 1/2" Ribbon behind the Highland Heather Scalloped Contours die.  The 2-step flowers were arranged in a bouquet, of sorts on the die.

The lovely sentiment was inked with Cinnamon Cider and die cut with a Layering Circle Die; then, set in place with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I have to tell you, while creating this card, I was smelling the wonderful fragrance from some cut fresh flowers from my Uncles garden!  So beautiful!

Happy Memorial Day stampers!!

Today, I'm sharing a card I created in remembrance and honor of our America's heroes.  I used the retiring Thank You Die as my focal image, as it says it all on a day like today.  It's not always an easy task for me, but I was able to create a nice, clean and simple layout that would fit more of the casual stamper category.

With the help of a couple of Sponge Daubers to create a simulated American flag, I sponged on some Night of Navy and Real Red ink in a swirling motion to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I die cut the Thank You from the sponged piece, plus, die cut two more Thank You's from regular Whisper White cardstock.

I glued all three Thank You die layers to each making sure to stack them with the sponged layer on top.  This technique adds dimension and the look of white chipboard.  I die cut a couple different sizes of Stitched Stars from Vellum cardstock and set in place on a Whisper White cardstock layer that was embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder.  I'm super sad the Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon is on the retirement list...I use that stuff A LOT!  My favorite part is to separate the long strands and use them to add a bit of rustic feel to my creations.

A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels adorn the final step to bring all of the elements together on this day of remembrance.  God bless the Red, White and Blue!  Thank you to all those that risked their life for me to live life freely.  I'm sooo-so thankful; you will never be forgotten!
