OSAT Blog Hop — April Spring Fling

Hello stampers and paper crafters!  My name is Lori Mueller (stampindreams.com) and I want to welcome you to my blog and the April One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop!  This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful craftiness, click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end.

OSATBlogHop-2018Header

This month's theme is "Spring Fling", and oh, how I wish Spring would come around and plant itself solid.  But, noooo, we have more cold weather, sleet and snow in the forecast today.  YUCK!

OSATHop-HoldOnToHopeOvalRt-Lori-DSC09639

I've been having lots of fun playing with a stamp set and framelits dies bundle that has not received any attention from me since it arrived in my craft stash.  YIKES!  The Hold on to Hope stamp set was designed by a million dollar achiever, Brandi Cox, and coordinates with the Cross of Hope set of framelit dies.  Several of the images rendered different Spring-like color choices...Mango Melody, Highland Heather, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo.

OSATHop-HoldOnToHopeOvalFlat-Lori-DSC09644

I came across a really cool technique that is new to me called "Floating Frame".  The benefit of this technique is that you can create two different card layouts with the one arrangement.  You can click on the images to get a closer look at how the butterfly and flower images "float" on the stitched Pear Pizzazz oval using Stampin' Dimensionals.

OSATHop-HoldOnToHopeOvalLeft-Lori-DSC09641

To add a some light texture to the arrangement, I embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder.  The Grapefruit Grove strip of Gingham Designer Series Paper gives it a vintage/country ambiance.  I just love how this turned out...the butterflies actually look like they are 'floating' around the oval ready to land on one of the beautiful flowers.

I did a Facebook Live online demonstration assembling the 'floating frame' card together.  It is an unedited video, but you can see how the process is done and apply the same steps to the card I am sharing with you today.  If you enjoy online stamp classes, please Like and Follow my business Facebook page so that you'll receive notifications for all my Live events...Sunday Stampin' Dreams.  I'd love to have you join me as I share what I love to do...stamp and papercraft!

At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next OSAT designers blog.  You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun and exciting to share with you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!

Creative Inking Blog Hop — Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Showcase

Hello stamper and crafter friends! Welcome to my crafty spot (Stampin' Dreams) on the Creative Inking Blog Hop for the month of September! I am really hooked on this color combination — Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black!  Either that, or it's because Stampin' Up! does such a great job offering little combination packages that enable a crafter when buying the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper pack available in the new Holiday catalog.

  CreativeInking-TakeoutToilWebFlat-Lori-DSC07850

When I was creating my last projects using the Takeout Treats Bundle, I couldn't decide what color I wanted the sentiment heat embossed onto, so I was sampling several.  This one didn't make the cut on the last project, so it's now making a debut onto this card.  I also decided to die cut a whole schlew of the spider webs from the Black Foil Paper using the Cauldron Framelits dies just to have on hand.  So glad that I did!

CreativeInkingHop-TakeoutToilWebClose-Lori-DSC07852

I have to giggle because these little frogs look like they are have a grand 'ole party!  Seriously!  Look at the expressions on their faces!  With that thought in your mind, doesn't the sentiment seem a bit more fitting?  Those little frogs are probably scheming up some Halloween tricks.  **belly laugh**

CreativeInkingHop-TakeoutToilWebLeft-Lori-DSC07849

If you don't already know this about me, I do love my Stampin' Dimensionals!  I love the layers, but I do have to be conscientious that I don't stack things too much; otherwise, the postal equipment will chew up a beautifully handmade card and spit it out into the "sorry, that's a no go!" bin.  I hope you'll give this fun bundle — Takeout Treats Bundle — a whirl.  You'll save 10% when you buy them together.  Any savings like that will definitely clear away the SpoOks — makings for a Happy occasion.

ThankYou-ABigThankYou

From the bottom of my heart, many, many "thanks" to you for you stopping by to visit me.  I love the visits and wonderful thoughts you share with your comments.  It is always my passion to inspire you with my papercrafting projects.  I hope I have peaked your excitement to get your dreams stamped out onto paper using some of the products that I have shared with you.  I truly live to inspire!! But, if you want to become a "Happy Shopper" and get all of your favorites on your wish list at a discount, you can purchase the Starter Kit and join my Stampin' Up! family...fill your Starter Kit with what YOU want (up to $125 worth of product)!  How exciting is that?!!   I am always very, very appreciative of your shopping excursion through my online store, too.

So with one click you can be on your way to soak in some more inspiration showcasing the assigned sketch.  Your next stop on the hop will be with Dena Rekow.  I know her projects will not disappoint...she'll have a beautiful creation to share with everyone. Click on the 'Next' button and you'll be at your next stop.  Have fun filling your inspiration bucket...don't forget to come back real soon.  :)

Creative Inking Blog Hop -- Ready for Spring Birthdays

Hello stamper and crafter friends! and, welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop for the month of March!  Our theme is all about getting Ready for Spring, but really, Mother Nature is having a week of bad days, I swear!  I'm sure the temperature gauge is a bit confused with it being in the 70's for a couple of days, then back to the low 30's, rain and small showers of snow.  GEESH!!  Well, I hope with my card creation, it will help get you Ready for Spring.  Are you ready to see what I have to share? Let's check it out.

CreativeInking-HeaderImage

You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the very talented Lynn Streifert's blog. Please be sure to click the 'Next' button (found below) to move along the Creative Inking blog hop. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.

CreativeInkingHop-LotsOfLavenderBirthday-Lori-DSC06340

Can you believe that this is the first time my Lots of Lavender stamp sethas seen any ink?  Yup!  I've been waiting for "spring" to show...yep! that's it!  No seriously!  This is one of the stamp sets that you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration and it is a beauty.  You can use all sorts of coloring mediums...Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens, Stampin' Blends, and my one of my favorites...the Aqua Painter.

Creative Tips:

  • Are you checking out the awesome background?  I created it using the die from the Flourish Thinlits Dies.  And, you may be wondering just how many times I ran that Crumb Cake piece of cardstock through the Big Shot.  Well, truth be told...15 times!  **squeal**  It just had to be done...I had a vision in my head and had to run with it.  LOL

CreativeInkingHop-LotsOfLavenderBirthday-Flat-Lori-DSC06344

  • After coloring the bouquet with Sweet Sugarplum and Lemon Lime Twist Classic Inks using my Aqua Painter, I "fussy cut" the image and popped it up on the Lots of Labels Vellum layer with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Dapper Denim Lots of Labels Frame was used to help center the floral image and add a little contrast to the Lemon Lime Twist.  The sentiment comes from the Celebration Time stamp set found in the Annual catalog and die cut using the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.
  • Now don't forget, the Lots of Lavender stamp set is FREE with a $50 order through my online store!  **squeal**

It is always my passion to inspire you with my papercrafting projects.  I hope I have peaked your excitement to get your dreams stamped out onto paper using some of the products that I have shared with you.  I truly live to inspire!! But, if you want to become a "Happy Shopper" and get all of your favorites on your wish list at a discount, you can purchase the Starter Kit and join my Stampin' Up! family...fill your Starter Kit with what YOU want (up to $125 worth of product) and choose TWO additional FREE stamp sets, to boot!  How exciting is that?!!   I am always very, very appreciative of your shopping excursion through my online store, too.

OSAT Blog Hop -- Better Together with Love

 OSATBlogHop-2017Header

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  It's hard to believe that it is February already, but the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop is right on time for our monthly show-n-tell!  I am so happy and thankful for your visit today. This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from Melissa Davies's blog. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful craftiness, click on the "NEXT" button at the bottom of each post.

The theme for our hop today is a "Love or Wedding" them.  In my mind, they kind of go hand-in-hand, don't you think?  I love it when my crafting projects just so happens to line up with the OSAT blog hop.  The first project (my card) is actually a spin-off from the 2nd project.  I can't wait for you to see!

OSATHop-LoveSparklesAvantGarden-Lori-DSC04590

Creative Tips:

  • Working with the wedding colors, the card base is Blushing Bride cardstock, measuring 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2".  Add a 1" strip of Blushing Bride Designer Series paper and adhere directly to the cardbase.
  • The piece of Marina Mist cardstock was embossed with Falling Petals textured impressions folder.  How cool is it that this folder looks more like little hearts?...perfect for a wedding or love theme.  :)  This layer was popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals before adhering to the card front.

OSATHop-LoveSparkesAvantGarden-LoriFlat-DSC04596

  • The focal image is a Stitched Circle die cut and stamped randomly using one of the images from the Avant Garden stamp set in Marina Mist and Blushing Bride inks. NOTE:  You can get this stamp set for free with a $50 purchase in my store.  **squeal**
  • Love Sparkles stamp set is filled with fun sentiments...the Celebrate sentiment was inked using Archival Basic Black ink and clear embossed and heat set onto Vellum cardstock.
  • DID YOU KNOW? that you can click on any images I include related to the project to see an enlarged version?  Yep!  I do this so that you can see the details of my projects a weeee bit better. As I get older, I'm finding myself pulling out what I call my "granny glasses".  haha

Bridal Shower Letters for You Banner:  This next project was a special request from a friend whose daughter is planning a destination wedding, thus the phrase "Traveling from Miss to Mrs". I had soooo much fun creating this little gem.  One of the details provided to me before starting this project is that the wedding invitations have a world map incorporated into them.  It's a good thing I still had a couple packs of the retired Typeset Specialty Designer Series paper because those sheets with the world map on them was put to good use.  Haha!!

OSATHop-Miss2MrsBanner-Lori-DSC04585

Creative Tips:

  • My favorite tool in the whole wide world got lots of use to create this banner...the Big Shot is amazing!  A list of dies includes the Banners Framelits, Large Letters Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, and Layering Ovals Framelits.
  • It's projects like these that I am very thankful to Stampin' Up! for our ribbons and twines come in larger quantities.  The Very Vanilla 1/4" Satin Ribbon from the Falling in Love Suite in the Occasions catalog was perfect for stringing the banners.
  • .

At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to Elizabeth Jeanne’s blog.  You won't want to miss traveling on as I know that she will have something adorable to share with you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Melissa Davies's blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!

Thailand Trip Achievers Blog Hop -- Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration

Thailand Grand Vacation Blog Hop

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for January. I am still pinching myself trying to believe that I was able to earn this grand incentive trip that Stampin' Up! has offered...sooo very thankful to everyone that cheered, loved, and supported me along the way.  The theme for the hop this month is Sale-A-Bration and we are all excited to share some projects using the fabulous stamps, designer series paper, and ribbons that you can receive for FREE with each $50 purchase.  Let me tell you....I am in LOVE with this years selections!

You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. Please be sure to click the person after me to move along the blog hop. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.

ThailandAchieversHop-SABHeyChick-Lori-DSC04554

Sooo, because I love ALL of the Sale-A-Bration selections, I had a really hard time focusing on just one or two items.  I actually used TWO stamp sets (Hey Chick and Designer Tee), the Carried Away Designer Series Paper AND the 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.  But, it looks so amazing together, right?!!  Plus, those little chicken images are super cute and sassy...they are all the rave right now.  I don't know anyone that has been able to say 'no' to these chicks!  LOL!

This came together pretty easy, but the help of the color palette from the Carried Away Designer Series paper pack was my starting point.  Everything else just sort of fell together.  One thing that I need to work on is my watercoloring skills.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop. With so many amazing ideas and inspiration filled with bling that sparkles and shines throughout the hop, you won't want to miss a single one! Remember you are currently at (Lori Mueller's -- Stampin' Dreams blog), so please check the blog hop line up below and be sure to click the next blog participant's name on the list.

Stamp It Blog Hop -- Vintage Thanksgiving

October2016-TeamStampIt-Header

Good morning stampers and paper crafters!  Thank you for stopping and Welcome aboard the October Stamp It Blog Hop!  This month's theme is related to anything regarding Thanksgiving. Can you believe that there is only about 4-1/2 weeks before the feasts of turkey (or, whatever your favorite traditional foods may be) fill the kitchen table?!!

If you have been traveling along the Stamp It Group Blog Hop, you may have come here from my dear friends, Teresa Howe's blog.  If this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

StampItHop-Thanksgiving-Lori-DSC01730

Vintage and rustic are two of my favorite creative styles.  My card shows off one of the patterns from the Petals & Paisley's Specialty Designer Series Paper....it reminds me of the old Polyester suits worn back-in-the-day.  The focal image features a couple of Bundled products...designed to save you 10% when you purchase the coordinating items together. Would you believe me when I tell you that the Jolly Friends stamp set and the coordinating Jolly Hat Builder Punch make up the Cornucopia?  The flower images come from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set and coordinating Paisley Framelits.  Papercrafting made super easy!  Let's take a peek at the card.

Creative Tips:

  • Start with a Very Vanilla card base measuring 4-1/4" x 11" with a center score across the middle at 5-1/2".
  • The Layering Squares render some nice clean cuts of petite scallops to accompany the Petals & Paisley designer series paper layer and the main focal images.

StampItHop-ThanksgivingSide-Lori-DSC01737

  • To create the Cornucopia Horn, ink up the Hat in Crumb Cake and stamp onto Mint Macaroon cardstock. Use the Jolly Hat Builders punch to punch it out.  The flowers are inked in Delightful Dijon and Rich Razzleberry and stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  These are cut out using the Paisley Framelits and attached to the Horn with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Add in some Gold Metallic Thread for a little bling.  Stamp the sentiment from the "One Big Meaning" stamp set onto Delightful Dijon cardstock with Soft Suede ink.  Tuck it under the bottom scalloped layer.
  • For a rustic effect, take your Crumb Cake marker (big marker end), and 'flick' ink randomly onto the card with the use of the marker cap.  Instead of using your fingernail to flick the ink, use the marker cap...this keeps you from having a brown inky finger for a day or two.  LOL!

Soooo, what do you think?  I think it turned out pretty quite lovely!  :)   There is lots more where that came from....you'll want to make sure you visit the other Stamp It Group members' blogs to see what Thanksgiving-themed projects they have to share.  Don't forget to come back real soon.

World Card Making Day -- Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop

14495403_1127731397279894_8872217285151481037_n

Hello my stamping crafty friends!!  I am sooo excited that you are here to experience World Card Making Day with all of us Stampin' Up! demonstrators from....literally....all over the world!  This is an amazing blog hop with sooo many talented crafters sharing what we all love to do...stamp, craft and share.

Sending a card is a small gesture that shows just how much you care about that special someone in your life. With World Card Making Day recognized across the world, it reminds us to celebrate by making and sending a handmade card to someone who could use a little recognition, love, or just a boost (which is anyone, really!).  I am really bad and extremely late getting this card created and hand-delivered to a friend who delivered a new little girl a few weeks ago.  I couldn't pass up using the Fox Builder Punch to create this CUTE little 'baby' fox.  I know the old adage is related to weddings, but something new also brings out something old.  haha!  Something that I haven't used in quite a while was my Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  ACK!!!  I had forgotten all of the wonderful sentiments available (24 sentiments in one stamp set!  YEAH!!)

You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. Please be sure to click the person after me to move along the blog hop. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.

 Creative Tips:

  • With the amount of layers that I had in mind, I chose to go with the Whisper White Thick cardstock for my cardbase (4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2").  I mean, really, who would not want to display this little cutie on a shelf in the baby's room?!!  (giggle)  Our Thick cardstock is great for that purpose.
  • I chose a double matte color, Smokey Slate and Pool Party...both coordinate with the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack, to compliment the Chevron pattern and the Woddgrain Embossed Whisper White layer.
  • The 1/8" Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon tied in a bow is a soft compliment to the matte layers.

WCM-FoxFriendBuilderBaby-Lori-DSC01573

  • Foxy Friends stamp set and coordinating Fox Builder Punch (bundled together for a savings of 10%) is super fun to create all sorts of cute critters.  The CUTE fox was created using Calypso Coral ink stamped onto Whisper White cardstock...all quick and easy to assemble with the help of the coordinating punch.  I did decide to hand cut (aka fussy cut) the legs as I wanted them to appear naturally set in front of the body.  Otherwise, if I stamped the legs directly onto the body, they would have gotten shortened when the body was punched out.
  • Using the Layering Ovals Framelits, cut out 2 layers...the larger from Pool Party, the patterned one from the A Little Foxy paper stack.  Add the cute little fox with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped with Archival Basic Gray ink onto Calypso Coral cardstock and cut using the Bunch of Banners Framelits die set.  Add the smallest pearls from the Basic Pearls pack and set in place with more Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop. With so many amazing ideas and inspiration to add cheer to someone's mailbox, you won't want to miss checking out all of the blogs!  I'll be traveling right behind you.  **squeal**  Remember you are currently at (Lori Mueller's -- Stampin' Dreams blog), so please check the blog hop line up below and be sure to click the next blog participant's name on the list.

Swirly Scribbles Meets New Stampin' Up! In Colors

SwirlyBird-ConfettiCelebration4x4-Lori-DSC01158
Hello everyone!!

So, who is in love with the new Stampin' Up! catalog?  Raise your hand and shout out a big WOOT!!  The new 2016-2018 In Colors are spot on YUMMY, too!  I mean, really, even the new names are so cute and fun...Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum.  During my stamp class, one of the ladies said she is going to name her next pet "Peekaboo Peach"!  How adorable is that?!!

SwirlyScribbles-InColor4x4Bulk-Lori-DSC01154
Since getting back home from Stampin' Up!'s incentive trip, the Mediterranean cruise, I have been in mass production mode.  I like to personally hand-deliver and mail out the new catalogs to each of my customers, instead of having them mailed directly from Stampin' Up!  My reason why?  So that I can include a handmade card, of course!  Every package should come with a little bit of handmade goodness, right?! I purposely leave the card blank inside so they can use it for any occasion they see fit...a small token of love and appreciate for all they do to support me.

SwirlyBirdPeekabooPeach-Lori-DSC01149

There is a rule for the card I create, though...it must show off each of the new In Colors with a sampling of ink, cardstock, and ribbon/embellishment.  Simply a must!!  In addition, one needs to show off a fun (new) stamp set and a tool of some sort.  The Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies along with the Confetti Celebration and Swirly Bird stamp sets helped fill the requirements.

SwirlyBirdDapperDenimFlirty-Lori-DSC01145        SwirlyFlirtyFlamingoEmeraldEnvy-Lori-DSC01146

Since there are 5 new In Colors, I created 5 different options by rotating 5 items involved in the creation:  cardstock matte, Swirly Scribbles die cut, speckles image stamped in the center of the Whisper White layer, color of the stamped star, and the (beee-u-tiful) 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.  Let me just say...this new ribbon is wonderful to play with...very light, soft, and ties into a lovely knot or bow with no fussing.  YOU will want to get your hands on this new ribbon....trust me!!  ;)

SwirlyBirdPeekabooPeachSweetSugarplum-Lori-DSC01148

CRAFTING TIP:  To save time and reduce the extra cutting of cardstock for the Swirly Scribbles Thinlit die, I simply 'stole' the die cut from each of the matted layers.  Shhhh!  No one will ever know because no one can see through the Whisper White layer that has been stamped on and covered with the die cut and embellished star.  Teehehehe!  I love it when efficiency comes in to play with mass production.

New 2016-2018 In Color 3/8" Ruched Ribbon Shares

InColor3-8RuchedRibbonSpools-Lori-DSC01198Do you want to get your hands on some of the new Ruched Ribbon, but do not want to use all of your crafting budget on a full spool (10 yards per spool) of each new In Color?  How about we get a group of friends together and "share" the spools of ribbon?  By bringing in the purchasing power of our friends, each participant can purchase a smaller portion of everything for a smaller fraction of the price.  This is called a "Product Share", and is amazingly helpful.

When you sign up for a spot in one of my shares, you'll have "a little bit of everything" so that you can "sample the buffet" before fully investing in the products.

How to "save your spot" in Lori's 2016-2018 In Color 3/8" Ruched Ribbon Product Share, please email me directly at [email protected]

Everyone within the U.S. is welcome to participate (current customers, new customers, and members of Lori's Dream Team).  Supplies for the first round of share groups will be ordered as soon as all spots fill.  In order to offer this ribbon share, I have to collect FIVE (5) signups; and per Stampin' Up! policy, I am not allowed to post a "Buy Now" button for product shares.  So, in order to get in on the first round..."save your spot" and email me the following information:

1.  Full Name
2.  Complete Mailing Address (United States addresses only)
3.  Email Address for Paypal invoicing, and confirmation.
4.  How many share(s) you would like to reserve

I will place orders with Stampin' Up! as each share fills.  I will inform you of your total and send you a Paypal invoice when I place the order. The order will take about a week to get to me.  Once it arrives, I'll get my butt busy sorting, cutting, wrapping, packaging and mailing it out to you.  This process can take upwards to 10 business days or more.

NOTE:  One (1) share = 2 yds of ribbon per color (total of 10 yards) for $9.45 (includes postage)

Each share will consist of 2 yards of each color (Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum). All ribbon shares are wrapped around cardboard to ensure wrinkle free ribbon. In addition...all shares are protected by cello bag packaging to ensure safe and dry delivery!

Swirly Scribbles Card -- Product List

OSAT Blog Hoppers Celebrate Father's Day

OSATBlogHop-HeaderHello everyone!  I am so happy to have you stop by to check out what I have to share with you. Today, the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Blog Hoppers are sharing some super fun masculine or Father's Day cards and 3D projects.  If you came from Diane Squires' blog or made my blog your first visit of the day, you are in for some super fun creations.  I know that, at some point, everyone struggles with this category, so let's take a peek at my creations, shall we?!!

OSATHop-EnvShirtCard-Lori-9979

Can you guess what the 'suit jacket' was made with?  If you guessed the Envelope Punch board...ding-ding-ding...you are correct!  **squeal**  I got the inspiration for this from a magazine that is only available to Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  There is a great promotion going on for the month of June...everyone can join...Hobby crafters/stampers and those that want to build a business and earn money doing so.  You do not want to miss this....more details will be at the end of this post.

OSATHop-ShirtCardOpen-Lori-9973

My husband has to wear a suit everyday for work, so I thought this was a perfect fit for him.  The only difference is that he does not wear bow ties, but I just had to show off the Bow Builder punch and what cute little bows it creates.  I just love how the 'dress shirt' is the card insert....super fun pocket card.

So, by day and during the week, my husband is in a suit all day, but he would much rather be sporting a polo, shorts, and golf shoes.  LOL

OSATHop-BasketGolfBalls-Lori-9967

Every golfer loves to go to the driving range with a bucket of balls every now and then to work on their swing...either to get rid of the bad 'slice' or 'hook' that can put a damper on a good game of 18 holes.  The 'bucket' was made with the Berry Basket Bigz die and Vanilla Coaster board.  I love our Coaster board!  It is just the right thickness to die cut an image that you would like to have a little more sturdiness than what our 80 lb cardstock provides.  I decided to 'white wash' the basket band using Crushed Curry ink from the lid of my ink pad and my Aqua Painter.  Then, I covered the side walls with the same designer paper used on the card.  I searched high and low for chocolate golf balls, but apparently, the sport of golf is not that popular for the candy retailers.  Hmmm.....really?!!  So, I found these large pearly white gum balls.  No dimples, but you get the idea, right?

OSATHop-ShirtCardGolfBasket-Lori-9965
The golf flag was punched using the Tree punch and Real Red cardstock.  The word 'Dad' comes from the Guy Greetings stamp set, inked in Basic Gray ink and stamped.  I hope you enjoyed and are inspired to create your next masculine card and/or project.  If you struggle making a masculine card, do what I did and look for inspiration in a magazine, a retail store, Pinterest, the decor of your home....it's everywhere...just let your imagination run.  Speaking of running....you best check out the next blog hopper, James Weber.  I tell you, this Dude can stamp!
