KEY TO MY HEART

This month's blog hop is working with the Key To My Heart (January 2023) Paper Pumpkin kit.  It contains the supplies to make nine darling love-themed cards.  Once the supplies are used up to create those cards, I can now focus on creating a lovely card using extra supplies within the kit and additional supplies and tools from my own stash.

This kit didn't have a lot of extra pieces, so I focused on the stamp set to create a new card.  I stayed with the main color theme—Fresh Freesia—as my cardbase which measures 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2", folded and burnished with a bone folder.  I cut up one of the envelopes because the inside was this pretty Fresh Freesia pattern and works great as a layer for the Petal Pink Scalloped Contours Die cut.  Before adhering the layers to the card front, I inked up the hearts image with Fresh Freesia and stamped a couple of times in 2 of the corners.

One of the original card designs from the kit left behind this Petal Pink key hole punch out.  The image was inked with Fresh Freesia and Clear Embossed for added glam.  I layered a Scallop Circle die cut from Gold Foil to the key hole piece and set onto the card front with dimensionals.

The heart-shaped lock was inked with Calypso Coral on the bottom and Versa Mark on the upper lock area and heat embossed with Gold on that portion of the image.  The key image was also inked with Versa Mark and heat embossed with Gold powder.  Both images were hand cut (aka fussy cut) and attached to the key hole piece using some of the Calypso Coral baker's twine from the kit.  The sentiment was inked with Fresh Freesia and stamped onto a strip of Basic White cardstock and adhered to the key hole piece.

Hello my stamping friends!  Welcome to another series of our PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop!  I'm very happy you have stopped by because our Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are collaborating to create alternate projects using the supplies (plus, additional supplies) that come with our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  Each month, my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and members of my Stampin' Up! family of demonstrators (Lori's Dream Team) receive exclusive tutorials to beautiful alternate projects created by our PPX Crew.  Now we are creating a 2nd alternate project that is being shared with everyone!

This month's blog hop features the love-filled Kisses & Hugs (January 2022) kit.  Not very often do I think to use up any of the leftover negative pieces from punched images, they usually get tossed in the recycle bin, but this time the scraps were speaking quite clearly to me.  After all of the bi-fold heart cards were made, there were still goodies left behind to create a fun shaker card!

The background is the largest Scalloped Contour Die cut from Blushing Bride with a layer of Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.  I threaded the Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon through the loops, tied into a bow and added to the Crumb Cake cardbase with Liquid Glue.

There was no way I was tossing the negative left behind from the Blushing Bride heart frame!  I adhered a piece of Vellum to the back of the leftover heart and hand cut it out with Paper Snips.  This way I only had to cut the heart once versus twice.  I arranged the two stamp images — X and O — on a clear block to ink with Versa Mark and heat emboss with Gold.  To create the shaker component, I traced the Vellum framed heart onto Basic White cardstock and hand cut with Snips.  The From My Heart Faceted Gems are a perfect color match to the rest of the card — right down to the splash of Gold — and make a good shake-shake-shake noise that will be fun for the recipient to enjoy. 

Finish the card with the word sentiments inked with Real Red onto a strip of Basic White, snipped to size and added to the card front with Stampin' dimensionals.

Good morning stampers and crafty friends! I'm so happy you have stopped by.  Welcome to our January Stamp It Blog Hop!  You may be starting from here at my blog, Lori Mueller - Stampin' Dreams, or you may have come here from one of the other Stamp It members blog...either way, make sure to click the blog next in line to move along the hop, I know you're not going to want to miss any of the great inspiration that we have in store for you.

Today's creation has been one roaming around in my dreams for days and I'm happy to say that it's time for fruition!  I was inspired from two different sources that was molded into one… a card pictured in a retired Mini Catalog and the lovely Sweet Talk Designer Series paper that is part of the Sweet Talk Suite of products in the new 2022 January-June Mini catalog.

Creative Tips:

• I'm pairing two patterns from the Sweet Talk designer series paper pack papers — one that sets the background on the Basic White Thick cardbase and the other with the Conversation Hearts images that coordinate with the dies found in the Sweet Hearts Dies.  I love that there were several candy conversation images mixed with the coordinating Blushing Bride, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green colors.  That was my starting point for choosing my color palette for the card.  The bottom half of the Stitched Rectangle die cut is a subtle pattern found in the paper pack, which helped tone down the bolder/busy pattern in the background.

• The candy hearts were die cut using coordinating dies from the Sweet Heart Dies set.  I arranged them in a small bouquet, of sorts, and added with double layers of Mini Glue Dots instead of Stampin' Dimensionals.  I love dimension, but didn't want the hearts boldly standing away from the Stitched Rectangle pattern as a regular Dimensional would do.

• To help with the 'eye candy', I  used the set of 4-hearts die to create the Granny Apple Green strip of cardstock and aligned it with the angle cut of the Sweet Talk designer paper.  For a finishing touch, I accented this piece by wrapping the Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding below the hearts die strip and tied into a bow.  The Stitched Rectangle panel was set in place with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The Sweet Conversations sentiment was inked with Highland Heather, stamped onto a strip of Basic White cardstock and accented on each end with Highland Heather banner die cuts that is part of the Sweet Hearts Dies.  The sentiment strip was added to the card front with Dimensionals to deem the card creation complete.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute to whip up 16 adorable Valentine packages for a group of teachers, but that's how my list of things to do has been rolling out.  I'm sooo thankful that I had all of the supplies to create these quick and easy tags to dress up the specialty heart cookies I found shopping in a local bulk store.

Everything to make these tags are part of the From My Heart Suite (page 9 in January-June Mini Catalog)—from the stamps to accessories and everything in between.  I started out by putting the cookies in our Clear Envelopes to make it easy for delivery (and, less mess) because they come with a self-adhesive strip.  The rest came together uber fast...check out the instructions:

1. Using straight-edge Heart punch from the pack, punch out metallic hearts from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper pack
2. Ink the scallop heart image from the Heartfelt stamp set in Real Red and Flirty Flamingo and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.
3. Punch out stamped scallop hearts with coordinating scallop Heart punch.
4. Adhere the metallic Heart to the stamped scallop heart
5. Add a strip of Snail to the Real Red and Flirty Flamingo Heart Doilies
6. Add a piece of Real Red 3/8" Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon to the Flirty Flamingo Doily; and, a double layer of Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to the Real Red Doily
7. Adhere the metallic/stamped hearts to the Doilies using Stampin' Dimensionals
8. Add the decorated Heart Doilies to the Clear Envelope centering over the cookie using Snail or Tear and Tape

Yummy treats delivered with a big smile and warm heart!  I love to see the recipients expression when they receive a handmade goodie from me.

This batch of decorated cookies is going to a special group of ladies that I'll be meeting with on Sunday — members of Lori's Dream Team.  Instead of the Metallic Designer paper hearts, I punched out Whisper White Hearts and stamped the Heartfelt sentiment in Real Red.  Since there was no shiny papers used, I added From My Heart Faceted Gems with Multipurpose Liquid glue.  Oh, and the best way to pick up those little 'gems' is with a Take Your Pick Tool...removes all frustration and makes picking them up and setting them into position sooo much easier!

TIP:  If you find that you LOVE all of the products in a particular suite, did you know that you can order every single item in that Suite with one order number?  Yeppers!  Let your fingers do the walkin' with one number

Hello and welcome to our January Stamp It Bog Hop.  Outside of the Christmas holiday, I think creating for Valentine's Day is the next easiest holiday (for me) to play with stamps, paper and ink.  I love to play 'outside the box' and not always use the traditional reds and pinks colors...I love to add a little blues and aqua colors, too.  **giggle**

Hello and welcome Stampers and Papercrafters to our fun monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!!   My name is Lori Mueller and I'm part of a team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world that have joined together to share alternative projects using supplies from the January monthly kit named "Be Mine". 

Lately, Stampin' Up! has been giving us little hints as to what our next month's kit will be focusing on.  The hint for this month indicated that it would coordinate with the Animal Expedition Suite of products found on page 27 in the Annual catalog.

This kit was loaded with supplies to create 24 A-DOR-ABLE pillow treat boxes!  All of the pieces were die cut, ready to punch out, stamp and assemble.  Comes with a wide variety of adhesives, too...dimensionals, glue dots, and Tear and Tape strips!!  You don't even need a pair of scissors for this one...can't get any easier than that.

For my alternate project, I hung out with these two love birds.  Aren't they just the cutest little couple?  I colored them with a variety of Stampin' Blends colors:  Balmy Blue, Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, and Mint Macaron.

Since the kit was titled "Be Mine", I just had to throw in a Stitched Heart from the "Be Mine" Stitched Framelits Die set.  If you are new to my blog and haven't been following me, you'll discover that I'm addicted to the new set of hearts framelits.  LOVE them!!

I thought it was fitting to set the two love birds on a bed of Layered Leaves...it's been a while since I've used that embossing folder.  The kit included a lot of extra epoxy colored hearts, so I scattered a few across the card.

FUN TIP: All Paper Pumpkin kits come with a set of Photopolymer stamp images.  Since you can see through the block to stamp your images, it makes it super easy and efficient to die cut the Stitched Circle first, then stamp.  If you want to create this tag in bulk, the Stamparatus will be your best friend to whip them up in no time flat.

Good evening my stamper friends! I'm so happy that you're traveling the Creative Inking Blog Hop for the month of January! This months theme is geared towards Sharing The Love!  This does not necessarily have to revolve around Valentine's Day, so I created a project that can be used for any celebration of love or appreciation.  I can't wait to share with you!!

So, to start off this post, I have a confession to make.  I have never created a project using our LOVELY Gable Boxes!  GASP!!  They come in both Lustrous White and Silver, both of which, I have in my stash, but haven't found the right moment or need to dress one up.  Well, here we go because that is going to change!

I am in the middle of designing several different projects as prototypes for my daughter to give little gifts to her bridesmaids later this year.  Yes, if I don't start early, I'll be freaking out later.  These boxes measure 4" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and can hold quite a few small thoughtful items. The Meant To Be stamp set and coordinating Be Mine Stitched Framelits aren't just for creating Valentine gifts and cards.  I have found this bundle to be very versatile and fitting for many occasions.

My new fav product to use in my creations is the Tufted Dynamic Embossing folder and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  That Stitched Scalloped edging is to 'die' for; and the pillow effect from the Tufted embossing folder is super cute embedded within the scalloped heart die.  I am having so much fun playing with the Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper, too.  It comes in a pack of 6 sheets (3 Grapefruit Grove and 3 Lovely Lipstock) and is one of the free selections in the Sale-A-Bration catalog with a $50 product purchase.

I am showing off the beautiful Forever Lovely stamp set and the very pretty All My Love Designer Series Paper.  I just love the color tones in this pack with exception to the Soft Suede color...it is not part of the designer paper pack.  I wanted something a tad darker than Crumb Cake so that we could all distinguish the one pattern a bit better.

The Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies are a must have, too!  They are bundled with another stamp set, but I tell ya'...they are going to be LOVED for any project you are dreamin' up!  Oh, and the Flax Ribbon is like a burlap, but sooo much softer in texture.  You need to make sure to get you some of that Flax!

Hello stamper and crafter friends! Welcome to my crafty spot on the Creative Inking Blog Hop for the month of August! This months theme is geared around a pre-determined card sketch.  I am super excited to create from a sketch because that takes most of the designing lull out of my busy week. l can't wait to share my creation with you!  :)

Here is what the card sketch looks like...pretty clean and simple, right?!!  I thought so, too!

It has been a while since I have played with the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, I thought it was perfect for the help I needed.  You see, this large pack of 12" x 12" designer series paper is packed full of coordinating colors to mix-n-match...a definite helpful starting tool for the creative mind that might be in a creative rut.  So, I picked on the colors of Blackberry Bliss, So Saffron, Mint Macaron, and Shimmery White cardstocks.  Oh, so pretty!!

 

• Next up was choosing what stamp set I needed for the special occasion that I had in mind.  And, look-ey there!  I couldn't pass up the Blended Seasons stamp set and coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits...especially, since this bundle is only available during the month of August.  Plus, among all of the images (12 to be exact), there is an image of a bell that can be used for any occasion...in my case, I needed it to be wedding bells.  Don't forget, you can purchase this bundle for a 10% savings.

 

• Now, you may be asking "how did she make that skinny Blackberry Bliss border for the Shimmery White Stitched Frame layer?"  Well, I die cut two of the same size Stitched Framelits from Blackberry Bliss, cut each one in half (1 cut vertical...the 2nd cut horizontal), then adhered each half to fit and border the Shimmery White framelit layer.  I needed the matted layer to be skinnier than the next sized Stitched Framelits die, and this was the easiest way that gave me the result I was needing.  **squeal**

Did you notice the the embossed texture of the So Saffron layer?  OMGosh!!  The amazing Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing folder left that mark!  Isn't it perfect for this layout?  I also love dimension...especially with a wedding card.  The Stitched Framelits layer is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals, as well as, the wedding bells, sentiment strip (which comes from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set), and the faux Glimmer Enamel Dot (made from a small punched circle using the Gingerbread punch and coloring with Wink of Stella).  Sooo, so pretty!  Creating wedding cards makes me so happy....after all, it is a happy occasion.  :)
