Stamping Around The World Blog Hop with Butterfly Gala

Hello, and good morning! The layout for this set of cards came from a swap group I participated in a month ago. I immediately thought of the Gingham Gala Designer Series paper pack and how beautiful it would be to create an entire ensemble showcasing all 5 colors...Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist and Highland Heather. Don't they look stunning? Did you notice that I changed up the patterned paper? I love that the Gingham designer paper has two choices of checks...large and small. Super cute!!
This little butterfly was punched from one of the black and white patterns in the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order) pack using the Duet Butterfly Punch. I love that Stampin' Up! focuses on color coordination with inks and papers. I inked up the solid wing images with Grapefruit Grove...the top set of wings was a 2nd rendition stamping technique; while the bottom set of wings was full ink. No butterfly is complete unless its wings are smothered with some Clear Wink of Stella...they need that little bit of shine and glimmer!

I'm extremely happy that we now have rectangle framelits in our product line. It is a very versatile geometric shape that has been missing for a long time. The icing on the cake is that they also die cut with stitching! YAY!! I inked up the splatter image from the Touches of Texture stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist before stamping the sentiment with Versa Mark and heat embossing with Black Embossing Powder. The sentiment comes from the Butterfly Gala stamp set.
