The next best thing to designing a greeting card for a special someone is to accompany it with a handmade 3D giftable item. I used the Oh So Eclectic stamp set on the project I did for the May Tutorial bundle, so I wanted to share with you another project using the same stamp set. The Call Me Clover Post-it Note holder measures 8-1/2" x 3-1/4" and is scored at 3", 3-3/8", 6-1/4" and 6-5/8". The fun thing is that you can create three holders out of one sheet of cardstock. All of the colors used on my project originated from the designer paper...gotta love the color coordination between the cardstock, inks and accessories...all under one catalog cover. :)
I used a 3x3 post-it note pad to help me determine the size of the holder and where the score lines should be. The extra flap was decorated to match the front cover, but if you do not like a tri-fold holder, then you would cut your cardstock down from 8-1/2". Just be sure to leave 1/4" extra in length to ensure your post-it note pad is fully covered.
Because the pattern in the Happiness Blooms designer paper is so bold, I wanted to use the skeleton smaller flower image as the focal point. I used the ink pads to carefully ink up the image, but you could easily use Stampin' Write markers, too. It's hard to see in the picture, but the Calypso Coral cardstock strip was run through the Subtle Dynamic Embossing folder...I love texture. The Calypso Coral 1/4" Ombre ribbon is so soft and adds a nice subtle touch to the whole ensemble.
The Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog retirement list and Occasions Catalog retirement list has been made public, of which, any products including one of the favorite designer series paper packs – Happiness Blooms.
